3 Yohana 1

1 Rji ni nikoh bi i hi ni Gayus wa mi sub kpokpome.

The Elder vnto the beloued Gaius, whom I loue in the trueth.

2 I suron mu, ni bre ni u, du lulu hi u me ni mi kpei wa u si ti'a wawu; ni si kpan, na Ruhu me a hei ni si.

Beloued, I wish chiefly that thou prosperedst and faredst well as thy soule prospereth.

3 Isuron mu a ti kikla raime wadi mri vayi bari ba ye tre didi ni tu ni yo suron ni tu me na wa u si hu kon jaji.

For I reioyced greatly when the brethren came, and testified of the trueth that is in thee, how thou walkest in the trueth.

4 Ba kpei wa'a zan du suron mu ti kikla rai du me wo di mri mu ba si zran ni kon jaji.

I haue no greater ioy then these, that is, to heare that my sonnes walke in veritie.

5 Si suron vremu, u si ti du' a ni suron me riri, hi ni mri vayi, ni bi tsri.

Beloued, thou doest faithfully, whatsoeuer thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers,

6 Bi wa ba hla tre didi ni tu me ni bi koh Irji, a ni bi du zo ba, ni zo u si suron, ni kon wa a bi, ni bi hu Irji.

Which bare witnesse of thy loue before the Churches. Whom if thou bringest on their iourney as it beseemeth according to God, thou shalt doe well,

7 Ni de mu ba rju, ba na kpan kpei ni wo ndi ba na.

Because that for his Names sake they went forth, and tooke nothing of the Gentiles.

8 Na ki ki kpa iri ndi ba, ki hei kpa udu baba u jaji.

We therefore ought to receiue such, that we might be helpers to the trueth.

9 Mi han vuvu hi ni tra Irji, ni ki Diyotariffis, wa a zan kohan wa ni kon ni mi ba, ana kpa ta na.

I wrote vnto the Church: but Diotrephes which loueth to haue the preeminence among them, receiueth vs not.

10 Na ki inde mi ye, mi nu mre ni tu du ma, ni wa a si ga de bu'a ni shishi de ba ni meme tre. Wa yi me a mia u na, na ki me a ni kama bubu kpa mri vayi, a zu bi wa ba su ti didi ma; a ni zu ba ni mi Irji.

Wherefore if I come, I will call to your remembrance his deedes which he doeth, pratling against vs with malicious wordes, and not therewith content, neither he himselfe receiueth the brethren, but forbiddeth them that woulde, and thrusteth them out of the Church.

11 Isuron mu, na vu meme kpei na sei kpei didi ma, Idi wa a si ti kpei didi ma a hi u Irji, Inde 'a' a si ti kpei meme ma, a na toh Irji na.

Beloued, follow not that which is euill, but that which is good: he that doeth well, is of God: but he that doeth euill, hath not seene God.

12 Dimitiriyas, ndi ba tre didi ma har ni jaji ni tu ma wu me utuh jaji tre bu, a jaji.

Demetrius hath good report of al men, and of the trueth it selfe: yea, and wee our selues beare recorde, and ye know that our record is true.

13 Mei hei ni kpie gbugbu u wa me han 'u' Na ki mina kpay'm di mi han ni u ni alkalami ba tawada na.

I haue many things to write: but I will not with yncke and pen write vnto thee:

14 Mi you suran di mi toh tu lalo mu na ki ki tre shi shi. Du si suron sun ni wu. Kpukpan bu ba si chi'u hla ni bru kpukpan bu, ni de ba wa wu.

For I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speake mouth to mouth. Peace be with thee. The friends salute thee. Greete the friends by name.
