< 1 Timotawus 2 >
1 Ni mumla mi bre du yi bre ni bre du ndi ba wawu'u nigrie, ti naki ni ndi ba wawu'u.
I exhort, therefore, first of all, that there be made—supplications, prayers, intercessions, thankgivings, in behalf of all men,
2 Don bi tuchu ni bi wa ba jin gbugbulu du sun si ka bei mi sisir Rji ni daraja.
In behalf of kings, and all them who are, in eminent station; in order that, an undisturbed, and quiet life, we may lead, in all godliness and gravity:
3 Wai abi da kpe u kpayeim ni shishi rji wa'akpata chuwo.
This, is comely and acceptable before our Saviour God,
4 Ani sun du ndi ba samu kpa chuwo nakima kuma da toh jaji
Who willeth, all men, to be saved, and, unto a personal knowledge of truth, to come;
5 Irji hi riri i, ni matsakaci riri wa a kri ni tsutsu Rji ni ndi, i ndi kima hi Almasihu Yesu.
For there is, one, God, one, mediator also, between God and men, —a man—Christ Jesus:
6 Ano tuma pansa ndi wawu'u, nitu shaida ni ton u didi.
Who gave himself a ransom in behalf of all, —the testimony, in its own fit times:
7 Nakima du ki ba dume sun ndi u dub tre ni ndi u ton du. Jaji misi hla ni yu'u, ana cena. me mi hi u tsro malamai attaura 'u' bangaskiya ni janji.
Unto which, I, have been appointed proclaimer and apostle—Truth I speak, I utter no falsehood—a teacher of nations, in faith and truth.
8 Naki me sun du lilon ko nitse duba bre da zu wo u yeryer hi nishu, duba na tinfu da sen yieu na.
I am minded, therefore, that—the men in every place be offering prayer, uplifting hands of lovingkindness, apart from anger and disputings;
9 Nikon kima me sun du mba duba ta sur kpei didima wa ani noba daraja ni vu tu, ana iri chantu wa ana bina, ko zinariya ko azurfa baba kpie bi klen gbugbu'a na.
In the same way, that, the women, in seemly attire, with modesty and sober-mindedness, be adorning themselves, —not with plaitings and ornamentation of gold, or with pearls, or with costly apparel, —
10 Me son duba sur kpie wa a bi du mba bi hu Rji nitu ndu mba u' didima.
But, which becometh women promising godliness, through means of good works.
11 Imba duba tsro ni mi vutu da ka tu mba grji ni mi ko gye.
Let, a woman, in quietness, be learning in all submission;
12 Bana no mba kon duba tsro nda kpa ba lon mba tsir na, naki du ba sun ni vu tu.
But, teaching—unto a woman, I do not permit, nor yet to have authority over a man, —but to be in quietness;
13 Ba ti Damu guci ri da ti Hauwa'u.
For, Adam, first was formed, then Eve,
14 Ana hi Damu ba qur na, aman ahi iwa ba qur yo ni la tre.
And, Adam, was not deceived, whereas, the woman, having been wholly deceived, hath come to be, in transgression;
15 Nakima ani kpa ceto ni tu grji mir, nde ba si zre ni mi bangaskiya, ni son yeryer. ni dri didi
She shall be saved, however, through means of the child-bearing, —if they abide in faith, and love, and holiness, with sobermindedness. Faithful, the saying.
