1 Nitu ki, a tie ta ya ndu ki nji'u, kina si ya ndi abi toh bi don ta zi ni Athens kpa mbu.
Wherefore, no longer concealing our anxiety, we were well-pleased to be left in Athens, alone,
2 Ki ton Timoti, vayi mbu ni ikpan tie ndu mbu ni Irji ni tre Kristi, dun ki no yi gbemgble ndi ka suron mbi kusi nitu yo shishi mbi.
And sent Timothy—our brother, and God’s minister in the glad-message of the Christ—that he might confirm and console you over your faith,
3 Ki tie ki don ko ri mbi duna klu sissri nitu iya wa ahe'a na. U biyi ni ki-mbi bi toh ndi nitu kii ba chu ta no ta ndi ki.
That, no one, might be shrinking back in these tribulations. For ye, yourselves, know, that, hereunto, are we appointed;
4 Njanji, wa kina he yayi'a, ki bla hla ni yiwu ni gbagbla ndi ki he ni gbugbu ya ni ko shishi, u ahe naki, nawa bi to'a.
For, even when we were with you, we told you beforehand—we are destined to suffer tribulation! even as it also came to pass, and ye know.
5 Nitu naki, u wa ime me a tie me ya dun mi kri, mi ton ndi don dun mi ton nitu yo suron mbi. U ani ya he ndi memme'a ye gyru yi nda du indu mbu a duna tie-tu na.
For this cause, I also, no longer concealing my anxiety, sent, that I might get to know your faith, lest by any means he that tempteth, should have tempted you, and, in vain, should have been our toil.
6 U Timoti ye nita rji niyi nda njiye nitawu itre ndindi ma wa bi ka suron mbi yo ni Irji. A hla ni tawu ndi chachu bi rhi mre mbu bi, ndi bi son bi toh ta nawa kita ngame ki yo shi si ya nkon u toh yi.
But, when, just now, Timothy came unto us, from you, and brought us good tidings of your faith and love, —and that ye have good remembrance of us, continually, longing to see, us, —even as, we also, to see you,
7 Nitu kii, mri vayi, biyi mba bi kpa suron mbu si nitu wa bi nji Irji gbamgba me, ni mi-ya wa kisi tie.
For this cause, were we consoled, brethren, over you, in all our necessity and tribulation, through your faith;
8 Ni zizan ki kuson, toh bi kri gbamgba ni Irji.
Because, now, we live, —if only, ye, stand fast in the Lord.
9 Ahi nge ni he ngiri mbu nitu mbi, u wawu si-suron mbu ni shishi Irji wa ki he niwu nitu mbi'a?
For what thanksgiving can we render back, unto God, concerning you, on occasion of all the joy wherewith we rejoice, for your sakes, before our God?—
10 Ni-chu mba ni-rji ki vuh bre gbamgba me ndu ki toh shishi mbi ndi zo yi ni wirji wa bi kunyre ni nkoh Irji.
Night and day, making very abundant entreaties, that we may see your face, and fit in the things which are lacking in your faith?
11 Ki bre ndi Irji ni Titi mbu ni Lima, mba Bachi mbu Yesu dun tsro ta nkon ye ni yi.
Now may, our God and Father himself and our Lord Jesus, make straight our way unto you:
12 Ki bre dun Irji du no yi gbemgble ni suron u son kpa mbi ndi son wawu ndji, na wa kita ngame ki tie ni yi.
And, you, may the Lord cause to abound and excel in your love one toward another, and toward all, —even as, we, do toward you:
13 Ibre mbu hi dun Irji no suron mbi gbemgble u tie ndindi nda hama ni lla tre ni shishi Irji, Iti mbu, ni ye u Bachi mbu Yesu ni biwa ba huu bi.
To the end he may confirms your hearts, faultless in holiness, before our God and Father, in the Presence of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.
