< 1 Pita 4 >
1 Naki, nitu wa Yesu Aye tiya nimi kpa u nma ni yi, kakpa mbi ni imren ni nkoh ndindima. U ndji wa-atiya ni kpa yi ana he ni lla-tre na.
Therefore, because Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same intention. For whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.
2 Nitu ki, indji ki, ni-mbru son ma nimi kpa yi, ana la tie ndu soh suron ba ndji ngana, u ani tie son suron Irji.
As a result, such a person, for the rest of his time in the flesh, no longer lives for men's desires, but for God's will.
3 Inton babrah a kle ye wa ki soh si tie kpi wa ndji bi wa bana toh Irji na ba wa ba tie - tishishi, yo suron, iso-kpie, iso hi, meme ro ni hu-mba ntankpah me.
You have spent enough time doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passion, drunkenness, drunken celebrations, having wild parties, and committing disgusting acts of idolatry.
4 Ni mre-mba, ba ya ndi a kpe sá ma to bina huba ni tie memme ro'a, u ba kma si tre memme nitu mbi.
They think it is strange that you do not join with them in these floods of reckless behavior, so they speak evil about you.
5 Ko nha ni bla kpie biwa ba tie ni ndji wa'a soh si gben doh du vu bi lla-tre, biwa ba qu ni biwa ba rihen qu.
They will give an account to the one who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
6 Nitu ki ba hla tre Irji ni biwa ba qu ngame, ni tu wa ba bla tre bawu ni wa ba hei ni vri na ndi, ama ba sun ni Ruhu Irji ni ndu ma.
For this purpose the gospel was preached also to the dead, so that, although they have been judged in the flesh as humans, they may live in the spirit the way God does.
7 Ko nge si tie hwihre u kle ye. Vu suron ni sunti, ni mmre me nitu bre Irji.
The end of all things is coming near. Therefore be of sound mind, and be sober in your thinking for the sake of prayers.
8 Ko shishi ni ko nge, bika son kpa mbi, toh bi son kpa-mbi ani ka memme wa njo tie.
Above all things, have fervent love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins.
9 Vu kpa-mbi nji mgbamgba me ndi na tre memme na.
Be hospitable to one another without complaining.
10 wa ko nha mbi kpa nenne ma, tie ndu ni wu ndi zo kpa-mbi. Tie ndu Irji ni njanji ni koma biyi wa a no yi.
As each one of you has received a gift, use it to serve one another, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.
11 Toh ri mbi tre, dun tie na a ndji wa asi tie tre Irji. To njo si tie ndu, dun tie-u rji ni mgbemgblen wa Irji nji ye. Tie ba naki, dun Irji kpa gbire san ni nde Yesu Kristi. Dun nde Yesu Kristi kpa dokaka ni iko rji ni zizan hra-bada. Ami. (aiōn )
If anyone speaks, let it be with God's words. If anyone serves, let it be from the strength that God supplies. Do these things so that in all ways God would be glorified through Jesus Christ. May there be to Jesus Christ glory and power forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
12 Mmri vayi, na ya ndi a kpe sá ma na wa ba tsra yi ni llu, na kpe sá mba si tie yi.
Beloved, do not regard as strange the testing in the fire that has happened to you, as if something strange were happening to you.
13 Ko tö bi tie yá babran nitu nde Kristi, kpa-u ngiri, u naki bi la kpa ngiri niwa ba byu dokaka ma.
Instead, however much you experience the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, so that you may also rejoice and be glad at the revealing of his glory.
14 Tö ba mre yi nitu nde Kristi'a, bi kpa lulu, nitu Ruhu u dokaka ni Ruhu Irji wa-a kakru nimi mbi.
If you are insulted for Christ's name, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and the Spirit of God is resting on you.
15 Na dun njo-mbi dun tie ya na bi wu ndji, ndji-u yibi, ndji u tie memme, ko ndji wa'a ni ri-tre wa-ana uma na.
But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or a meddler.
16 To njo tie ya na-u Krista, dun na klu shan na; dun tie ndu ni nde ndindi'a nda nzuh nde Irji.
But if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; instead, let him glorify God with that name.
17 i nton u tie sheriya wa ba guchi tie ni koh Irji. To ba guchi tie ni ta, ahi nge ni he ni biwa bana kpa wõ tre Irji-a na.
For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God. If it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey God's gospel?
18 U, “tö ndji wa ani hu Irji-a ati-u ya dun kpa-u chuwo, u nihe ndji wa ana hu Irji na ni tie?”
And “If it is difficult for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”
19 Nitu wayi, biwa ba tie ya nitu Irji ba ka suron mba yo ni tu Irji wa a tie ta dun tie ndindi ni tawu.
Therefore let those who suffer because of God's will entrust their souls to the faithful Creator in well-doing.
