< 1 Yohana 3 >

See what marvellous love the Father has bestowed upon us--that we should be called God's children: and that is what we are. For this reason the world does not recognize us--because it has not known Him.
2 Kpukpamu ki mri Irji zizan ba riheiu gran yada ki hei ki toh inde yesu a ye kita me ki hei ki toh inde yesu a ye kita me ki hei na wawu hei ki toh naki yada a hei.
Dear friends, we are now God's children, but what we are to be in the future has not yet been fully revealed. We know that if Christ reappears we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.
3 Indi wa a si yo shishi ni ua ka gla kpama na wa wu hei.
And every man who has this hope fixed on Him, purifies himself so as to be as pure as He is.
4 Indi wa a si lahtre a si ti kpe wa a na didima na don lahtre hi kpe meme.
Every one who is guilty of sin is also guilty of violating Law; for sin is the violation of Law.
5 Bi toh ba shile kristi rju du ye ban lahtre mbu rhu ni ta wu naki ni u' kena lahtre na heina.
And you know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin.
6 Ba ndi wa ani hei ni 'u' da si ta lahtre. Ba ndi wa sita latre da tre me di wawu to'o ko a yemen ni wu.
No one who continues in union with Him lives in sin: no one who lives in sin has seen Him or knows Him.
7 Imir na yeim du dio grue yi na ndi wa a si ti kpe didima a hi ndi didi na wa kristy a didi ma.
Dear children, let no one lead you astray. The man who acts righteously is righteous, just as He is righteous.
8 Indi wa a si ti latre a rji ni brji, don ibrji latre rji ni mumla, Na ki u' ba shile vre Irji rhu du ye kpa du brji ti meme.
He who is habitually guilty of sin is a child of the Devil, because the Devil has been a sinner from the very beginning. The Son of God appeared for the purpose of undoing the work of the Devil.
9 Indi wa ba grji rji ni Irji ana si ti lahtre na, domin ibin u' Irji a hei ni u' ana la lah tre na, don ahe gjri u rji.
No one who is a child of God is habitually guilty of sin. A God-given germ of life remains in him, and he cannot habitually sin--because he is a child of God.
10 Na ki mri Irji baba mri ibrji ba shile ba, indi wa ana tikpe didima na ana rji ni Irji na du ni indi wa ani kran vayi ma.
By this we can distinguish God's children and the Devil's children: no one who fails to act righteously is a child of God, nor he who does not love his brother man.
11 I wa hi imbe wa bi woh ni mumla ki yemen kpa mbu.
For this is the Message you have heard from the beginning--that we are to love one another.
12 Kina ti na kayinu na wa a rji ni brji da wu vayi ma ani tu gye awu? don idu ma ana u'brji u vayi ma ka didima.
We are not to resemble Cain, who was a child of the Evil one and killed his own brother. And why did he kill him? Because his own actions were wicked and his brother's actions righteous.
13 Mri vayi na ti “mamaki” na, inde gbugbulu ni kran yi.
Do not be surprised, brethren, if the world hates you.
14 Ki toh ki rju ni mi ique idi ri na rai don ki san mri vayi.
As for us, we know that we have already passed out of death into Life--because we love our brother men. He who is destitute of love continues dead.
15 Indi wa ana son vayi ma na, a hi u wu ndi bi toh bi wu ndi ba na hei ni re u tutrun ni wu na. (aiōnios g166)
Every one who hates his brother man is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has the Life of the Ages continuing in him. (aiōnios g166)
16 Na ki ki toh son wa kristi ka tu ma no ba wu don kita. Kita me ki ka tumbu no domin mri vayi.
We know what love is--through Christ's having laid down His life on our behalf; and in the same way we ought to lay down our lives for our brother men.
17 Du ndi wa ahei ni kpi bi gbugbulu yi, da toh vayi ma ni mi yah da na zo u na, yaya itre Irji ni he ni u?
But if any one has this world's wealth and sees that his brother man is in need, and yet hardens his heart against him--how can such a one continue to love God?
18 Mri mu ki na ta tre ki yemen mir vayi ni yun kuklu na ki ti ni mi suron jaji.
Dear children, let us not love in words only nor with the lips, but in deed and in truth.
19 Na ki ki toh di ki rji ni jaji, naki ki kpayemen ni suron mbu ni u.
And in this way we shall come to know that we are loyal to the truth, and shall satisfy our consciences in His presence
20 Inde suron mbu kashe ta, Irji zan suron mbu da toh kpi ba wawu.
in whatever matters our hearts condemn us--because God is greater than our hearts and knows everything.
21 Kaunatatu, inde suron mbu na kashe ta na, ki ka hei ni gbengbenlen ni Irji.
Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have perfect confidence towards God;
22 Du ikpe wa ki mie ki kpa ni u' don ki zi itre ma di ni ti kpe wa ani nu kikla suron
and whatever we ask for we obtain from Him, because we obey His commands and do the things which are pleasing in His sight.
23 I wa yi hi tre ma ki ka kpayemen ni vre ma yesu kristi di son kpa mbu na wa no ta tre ma.
And this is His command--that we are to believe in His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as He has commanded us to do.
24 Indi wa azi tre Irji a hei ni Irji u Irji hei ni ndia. Naki ki toh di a hei ni ta ni mi Ruhu tsatsarka da a nota.
The man who obeys His commands continues in union with God, and God continues in union with him; and through His Spirit whom He has given us we can know that He continues in union with us.
