JAMES, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are dispersed, greeting.
2 Ti eshuwotso! k'osh k'osh naari fadewo itats b́bodor geenúshit keewwotsi it daatstsok'o woshde'er taawwere.
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into various trials;
3 It imnetiyo b́fadewo k'amo itsh daatsituwo b́wottsok'owo dandek'etute.
knowing that the proof of your faith produceth patience.
4 K'amonowere it kup'o ik jago itsh b́shaprawo s'eenonat itn bodtswotsi woshituwo wotowe.
But let patience have its work perfected, that ye may be perfect and complete, deficient in nothing.
5 Ititse dani teleefo bísh b́shapts asho fa'e wotiyal Ik'o k'onuwe, Ik'onwere bísh imetwe, bí jametsosh shiitso bí aa'awo tewudi doon imetwo Izar Izeweriye.
But if any man of you be deficient in wisdom, let him ask it of God, who giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not and it shall be given him.
6 Ernmó asho eegonor gito b́gímberawo amande'er k'onuwe, git gimbiru asho jongon gifniyeyat giwwtsts aatsk'aroniye bíariye.
But let him ask in faith, harbouring no doubt: for he who is doubtful is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind, and in constant agitation.
7 Mannaari asho doonzoke ik jago b́daatsituwok'o bísh ark'aye.
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing from the Lord.
8 Han b́wotituwere git níbo detst b́weerindatse hake baka bíetiruwoshe.
A double-minded man is unsteady in all his ways.
9 B́ beewon dashan wotts eshuwo Ik'o damban bín b́ detsetwosh geneúwowe,
Let the brother low in station rejoice in his elevation:
10 Ash gaalo bodi fuundok'o b́ ooshetuowotse b́ beewon dambaan wotts eshuwo Ik'o b́bewo dashan b́woshiyalor gene'úwowe,
but the rich, in his abasement: for as the flower of grass he shall pass away.
11 Aawo b́ k'ees'onton b́keshor bodo shuuk'iniye b́k'riti, b́ fúndonuwere ooyniye b́wutsiti, bíazisheengonwere t'afniye b́wutsiti, mank'owere gaalets asho b́fiinon b́jaakfere t'afniye b́wutsiti.
For the sun arose with fervour, and burnt up the grass, and the flower of it fell off, and the beauty of its appearance was lost: just so the rich man in his course of life shall wither away.
12 Doonzo b́ taartsok'on bín shuntswotssh b́ imet kashi akililiyo b́ dek'etuwosh fadeyo k'amar kúp'it asho deereke.
Blessed is the man who patiently supports temptation: for when he is proved, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to those who love him.
13 Ik'o gond keewon noon b́ fadrawotse mank'o bíwere konnoru b́ fadrawotse asho b́ fadeyor «Ik'o taan fadre» etk'aye.
Let no man under temptation say, I am tempted of God: for God is incapable of temptation from evils, and he tempteth no man:
14 Ernmó asho ik ikon b́ fadeyir b́ took tewnon geetseyar bí ant'elcewore.
but every person is tempted, when by his own peculiar passion he is born away, and ensnared.
15 Haniyhakon tewunu bmaac'or morro shuwitwaniye. Morronu s'eenon bi eeniyakon k'iro shuwituwane.
Then passion impregnated, bringeth forth sin, and sin reaching its consummation, bringeth forth death.
16 Shuneets eshuwwotso! it ant'elcherawok'owa!
Be not deceived, my beloved brethren.
17 Sheengts imonat s'een wotts deer jamo Ik'okne, han b́weetuwe c'ishok'o wona wonewo deshaw shááni niho Ik'okne.
Every good gift, and every perfect gift, is from above, descending from the father of illuminations, with whom there is no variableness, nor shadow of change.
18 Ik'o bí azts jam shintswotsitse gawdek't ari aap'on noon shuure.
Of his own choice he produced us by the word of truth, that we might be a sort of first fruit of his creatures.―
19 Shuneets eshuwotso! han batk'ayere, ash jamo k'ebosh káártso, noonkeewonat fayosh mango wotowe.
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
20 Ash fayo Ik'i kááwo daatsiratse.
For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
21 Hansha kiimonat weerigondi ayonowere ok k'aúbayr Ik'o it nibots b́ toktsonat it kasho kashiyo falitu aap'man it tooko dashan detson de'ere.
Wherefore laying aside all vicious pollution, and the abundance of iniquity, receive with meekness the ingrafted word, which hath power to save your souls.
22 Ik'i aap'tso finats jiitswere bako it tooko dashfetsr shish mec'ro shishfwotsi wotk'ayere.
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves by false reasoning.
23 Ik' aap'ts aap'o finats jiitsraw asho bín bíazeets shiitso mastayiton bek'iru ashok'oyiye,
For if any man be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man that looks at his natural face in a glass;
24 Ashaan b́shiitso mastyiton b́s'iliyakon ametuwe, awuk'o b́wottsok'owo manoor batni b́k'riti.
for he beheld himself, and went away, and immediately forgot what sort of person he was.
25 Wotowa eree nas' kishit b́ nemo sheengshr s'iilr bín kup'ituwo bínowere shiir baterawo, finats jitsitu asho b́ finon deereke b́ wotiti.
But he that looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and perseveres, this man not being a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, he shall be blessed in his practice.
26 Bí albero korde'aniyere Ik'o Ik'irwe eteet asho b́ tookoniye b́ dashiri, b́ ik'iyonwere k'awuntso deshatse.
If any man thinks he is a religious character among you, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
27 Ik'o niho shinatse s'ayinonat kimaw hayimanotiyo, nihonat indo k'irts nanaúwotssh, aaninu bokenih k'irts máátsuwotssh bo kic'or boon tep'o, b́ tookonowere datsanatsi kimatse kordek'oniye.
Pure religion and undefiled with God even the Father is this, To pay diligent attention to the orphans and widows in their affliction, and to preserve himself spotless from the world.
