সখরিয় ভাববাদীর বই 8
1 পরে সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভুর এই বাক্য আমার কাছে উপস্থিত হল।
And the word of the Lord of hosts came, saying,
2 সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন. “সিয়োনের জন্য আমার খুব ঈর্ষা আছে; আমি তার জন্য ঈর্ষায় জ্বলছি।”
Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, I am jealous for Zion with a great jealousy, and with great fury am I jealous for her.
3 সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “আমি সিয়োনে ফিরে যাব এবং জেরুশালেমে বাস করব। তখন জেরুশালেমকে বিশ্বস্ততার নগর বলা হবে, এবং সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভুর পাহাড়কে বলা হবে পবিত্র পাহাড়।”
Thus hath said the Lord, I return unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called, The city of truth; and the mount of the Lord of hosts, The holy mount.
4 সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “পূর্ণবয়স্ক পুরুষ ও স্ত্রীলোকেরা আবার জেরুশালেমের খোলা জায়গায় বসবে আর বেশি বয়সের দরুন তাদের প্রত্যেকের হাতে লাঠি থাকবে।
Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, Again shall there sit old men and old women in the streets of Jerusalem, and every one with his staff in his hand because of their multitude of years.
5 নগরের খোলা জায়গা পূর্ণ করে বালক ও বালিকারা খেলা করবে।”
And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in her streets.
6 সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “এসব যে ঘটবে তা এই জাতির বেঁচে থাকা লোকদের কাছে অসম্ভব বলে মনে হতে পারে, কিন্তু আমার কাছে কি তা অসম্ভব বলে মনে হবে?” সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভু এই কথা ঘোষণা করেন।
Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, If it should be marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvelous in my eyes? saith the Lord of hosts.
7 সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “আমি পূর্বদেশ এবং পশ্চিম দেশ থেকে আমার লোকদের উদ্ধার করব।
Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, Behold, I will save my people from the east country and from the country of the setting of the sun;
8 জেরুশালেমে বাস করার জন্য আমি তাদের ফিরিয়ে আনব; তারা আমার লোক হবে, এবং আমি তাদের প্রতি বিশ্বস্ত ও ন্যায়পরায়ণ থেকে তাদের ঈশ্বর হব।”
And I will bring them [back], that they may dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be unto me for a people, and I will be unto them for a God, in truth and in righteousness.
9 সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভুর গৃহের ভিত্তি স্থাপনের সময় ভাববাদীদের মুখের কথা এখন যে তোমরা শুনতে পাচ্ছ, তোমাদের হাত সবল হোক যেন মন্দির নির্মাণ করা হয়।
Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words out of the mouth of the prophets, who [spoke] on the day that the foundation of the house of the Lord of hosts was laid, when the temple was to be built.
10 সেই কাজ আরম্ভ করার আগে কোনও মানুষের বেতন কিংবা পশুর ভাড়া ছিল না। শত্রুর দরুন কেউ নিরাপদে নিজের কাজ করার জন্য চলাফেরা করতে পারত না, কারণ আমি প্রত্যেকজনকে নিজের নিজের প্রতিবেশীর বিরোধী করে তুলেছিলাম।
For before those days there was no reward for man, nor any reward for beast; and for him that went out or came in there was no peace, because of the oppressor: and I let loose all men, every one against his neighbor.
11 কিন্তু এখন আমি এই জাতির বেঁচে থাকা লোকদের সঙ্গে আগেকার মতো ব্যবহার করব না,” সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভু এই কথা ঘোষণা করেন।
But now I am no more as in the former days unto the residue of this people, saith the Lord of hosts.
12 “বীজ থেকে গাছ ভালোভাবে বেড়ে উঠবে, দ্রাক্ষালতায় ফল ধরবে, মাটিতে ফসল ফলবে, আর আকাশ থেকে শিশির পড়বে। এই জাতির বেঁচে থাকা লোকেদের আমি এসবের উত্তরাধিকারী করব।
For the seed shall be undisturbed; the vine shall give its fruit, and the ground shall give her production, and the heavens shall give their dew: and I will bestow on the remnant of this people all these things.
13 হে যিহূদা ও ইস্রায়েল, জাতিগণের মধ্যে তোমরা যেমন অভিশাপস্বরূপ ছিলে, কিন্তু এখন আমি তোমাদের উদ্ধার করব, আর তোমরা আশীর্বাদস্বরূপ হবে। ভয় কোরো না, বরং শক্তিশালী হও।”
And it shall come to pass, that, in the same degree as ye have been a curse among the nations, O house of Judah, and house of Israel, so will I save you and ye shall be a blessing: fear not; let your hands be strong.
14 সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “আমি যেমন তোমার বিরুদ্ধে বিপর্যয় আনতে দৃঢ় প্রতিজ্ঞা করেছিলাম এবং তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষেরা আমাকে ক্রুদ্ধ করাতে আমি তাদের প্রতি কোনও করুণা দেখাইনি,” এই কথা সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভু বলেন,
For thus hath said the Lord of hosts, As I had purposed to do you evil, when your fathers incensed me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I bethought myself not:
15 “সুতরাং এখন আমি আবার যিহূদা ও জেরুশালেমের প্রতি মঙ্গল করার জন্য দৃঢ়প্রতিজ্ঞ। ভয় কোরো না।
So do I again purpose in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah; fear ye not.
16 এসব কাজ তোমাদের করতে হবে: একে অন্যের কাছে সত্যিকথা বলবে এবং তোমাদের আদালতে সত্য ও ন্যায়বিচার করবে;
These are the things that ye shall do, Speak ye the truth every man to his neighbor; [with] truth and the judgment of peace judge ye in your gates;
17 তোমাদের প্রতিবেশীর বিরুদ্ধে অনিষ্ট পরিকল্পনা করবে না, এবং মিথ্যা শপথ ভালোবেসো না। আমি এগুলি ঘৃণা করি,” সদাপ্রভু এই কথা ঘোষণা করেন।
And let none of you think evil in your hearts against his neighbor; and love not a false oath, for all these are what I hate, saith the Lord.
18 সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য আবার আমার কাছে উপস্থিত হল।
And the word of the Lord of hosts came unto me, saying,
19 সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “চতুর্থ, পঞ্চম, সপ্তম ও দশম মাসের উপবাস যিহূদার জন্য আনন্দের, খুশির ও মঙ্গলের উৎসব হয়ে উঠবে। অতএব তোমরা সত্য ও শান্তি ভালোবেসো।”
Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, The fast of the fourth, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth [month], shall become to the house of Judah gladness and joy, and merry festivals: only love ye the truth and peace.
20 সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “অনেক মানুষ এবং অনেক নগরের বাসিন্দারা জেরুশালেমে আসবে,
Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, [A time] shall yet be! when there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities;
21 আর এক নগরের বাসিন্দা অন্য নগরে গিয়ে বলবে, ‘চলো, আমরা সদাপ্রভুর কাছে বিনতি করতে ও সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভুর অন্বেষণ করতে এখনই যাই। আমিও যাব।’
And the inhabitants of one [city] shall go to another, saying, Let us only go to pray before the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts: I too will likewise go.
22 আর অনেক জাতির লোক ও শক্তিশালী জাতিরা সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভুর কাছে বিনতি করতে জেরুশালেমে আসবে।”
And many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord.
23 সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “সেই সময় বিভিন্ন ভাষা ও জাতির দশজন লোক একজন ইহুদির পোশাকের আঁচল ধরে বলবে, ‘চলো, আমরা তোমার সঙ্গে যাই, কারণ আমরা শুনেছি যে, ঈশ্বর তোমাদেরই সঙ্গে আছেন।’”
Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, In those days [it shall happen], that ten men out of all the languages of the nations shall take hold—yea, they shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, Let us go with you; for we have heard that God is with you.
