1 যীশু খ্রীষ্টের প্রকাশিত বাক্য। ঈশ্বর তাঁকে তা দান করেছেন, যেন খুব শীঘ্রই যা ঘটতে চলেছে তা তিনি তাঁর দাসদের দেখিয়ে দেন। তিনি তাঁর দাস যোহনের কাছে নিজের দূত পাঠিয়ে একথা জানালেন;
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to shew unto his servants, [even] the things which must shortly come to pass: and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John;
2 সেই যোহন যা কিছু দেখেছিলেন, অর্থাৎ ঈশ্বরের বাক্য ও যীশু খ্রীষ্টের সাক্ষ্য সম্পর্কে সবকিছু সবিস্তারে সাক্ষ্য দিলেন।
who bare witness of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, [even] of all things that he saw.
3 ধন্য সেই ব্যক্তি, যে এই ভাববাণীর বাক্যগুলি পাঠ করে এবং ধন্য তারাও, যারা তা শোনে ও তার মধ্যে যা লেখা আছে, সেগুলি পালন করে, কারণ সময় আসন্ন।
Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
4 আমি যোহন, এশিয়া প্রদেশে অবস্থিত সাতটি মণ্ডলীর উদ্দেশে লিখছি, অনুগ্রহ ও শান্তি তোমাদের সহবর্তী হোক, যিনি আছেন, যিনি ছিলেন ও যিনি আসছেন, তাঁর কাছ থেকে এবং তাঁর সিংহাসনের সম্মুখবর্তী সপ্ত-আত্মা থেকে
John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from him which is and which was and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
5 এবং সেই যীশু খ্রীষ্ট থেকে যিনি বিশ্বস্ত সাক্ষী, মৃতলোক থেকে প্রথমজাত ও পৃথিবীর রাজাদের শাসক। যিনি আমাদের প্রেম করেন এবং যিনি তাঁর রক্তে আমাদের পাপসমূহ থেকে আমাদের মুক্ত করেছেন,
and from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loveth us, and loosed us from our sins by his blood;
6 এবং তাঁর ঈশ্বর ও পিতার সেবা করার জন্য আমাদের এক রাজ্যস্বরূপ ও যাজকসমাজ করেছেন—তাঁরই মহিমা ও পরাক্রম যুগে যুগে চিরকাল হোক! আমেন। (aiōn g165)
and he made us [to be] a kingdom, [to be] priests unto his God and Father; to him [be] the glory and the dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
7 দেখো, তিনি মেঘবাহনে আসছেন, এবং প্রত্যেক চোখ তাঁকে দেখতে পাবে, এমনকি, যারা তাঁকে বিদ্ধ করেছিল, তারাও দেখবে; আর পৃথিবীর সমস্ত জাতি তাঁর জন্য বিলাপ করবে।
Behold, he cometh with the clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they which pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth shall mourn over him. Even so, Amen.
8 প্রভু ঈশ্বর বলেন, “আমি আলফা ও ওমেগা, আদি ও অন্ত, যিনি আছেন ও যিনি ছিলেন ও যিনি আসছেন, সেই সর্বশক্তিমান।”
I am the Alpha and the Omega, saith the Lord God, which is and which was and which is to come, the Almighty.
9 আমি যোহন, তোমাদের ভাই; কষ্টভোগ, ঈশ্বরের রাজ্য ও ধৈর্যশীল সহিষ্ণুতা—যীশুতে যা কিছু আমাদের সেসব কিছুতে তোমাদের সহভাগী। আমি ঈশ্বরের বাক্য প্রচার ও যীশুর হয়ে সাক্ষ্য দেওয়ার অপরাধে পাটম দ্বীপে নির্বাসিত ছিলাম।
I John, your brother and partaker with you in the tribulation and kingdom and patience [which are] in Jesus, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.
10 প্রভুর দিনে আমি পবিত্র আত্মায় আবিষ্ট ছিলাম, আর তখন আমার পিছনে তূরীধ্বনির মতো এক উচ্চ কণ্ঠস্বর শুনতে পেলাম;
I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet
11 তা ঘোষণা করল: “তুমি যা কিছু দেখছ তা একটি পুঁথিতে লিপিবদ্ধ করো এবং ইফিষ, স্মূর্ণা, পর্গাম, থুয়াতীরা, সার্দি, ফিলাদেলফিয়া ও লায়োদেকিয়া, এই সাতটি মণ্ডলীর কাছে পাঠিয়ে দাও।”
saying, What thou seest, write in a book, and send [it] to the seven churches; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamum, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
12 যে কণ্ঠস্বর আমার সঙ্গে কথা বলছিলেন, তাঁকে দেখার জন্য আমি পিছন দিকে ফিরে তাকালাম। আর আমি দেখলাম, সাতটি সোনার দীপাধার,
And I turned to see the voice which spake with me. And having turned I saw seven golden candlesticks;
13 ও দীপাধারগুলির মধ্যে “মনুষ্যপুত্রের মতো এক ব্যক্তি”; তাঁর দু-পা লম্বা আলখাল্লায় আবৃত ও তাঁর বুকে জড়ানো সোনার এক বন্ধনী।
and in the midst of the candlesticks one like unto a son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about at the breasts with a golden girdle.
14 তাঁর মাথা ও চুল ছিল শুকনো পশমের মতো, এমনকি, তুষারের মতো ধবধবে সাদা এবং তাঁর চোখদুটি ছিল জ্বলন্ত আগুনের শিখার মতো।
And his head and his hair were white as white wool, [white] as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15 তাঁর দু-পা ছিল চুল্লিতে পরিষ্কৃত পিতলের মতো ঝকঝকে ও তাঁর কণ্ঠস্বর ছিল প্রবহমান মহা জলস্রোতের মতো।
and his feet like unto burnished brass, as if it had been refined in a furnace; and his voice as the voice of many waters.
16 তাঁর ডান হাতে তিনি সাতটি তারা ধরে আছেন ও তাঁর মুখ দিয়ে বার হয়ে আসছে দুদিকে ধারবিশিষ্ট এক তরোয়াল। তাঁর মুখমণ্ডল পূর্ণ দীপ্তিতে উদ্ভাসিত সূর্যের মতো।
And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth proceeded a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
17 তাঁকে দেখামাত্র আমি মৃত মানুষের মতো তাঁর চরণে পতিত হলাম। তখন তিনি তাঁর ডান হাত আমার উপরে রেখে বললেন, “ভয় পেয়ো না, আমিই আদি ও অন্ত।
And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as one dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying, Fear not; I am the first and the last,
19 “অতএব, তুমি যা কিছু দেখলে, এখন যা কিছু ঘটছে ও পরে যেসব ঘটনা ঘটবে, তা লিখে ফেলো।
Write therefore the things which thou sawest, and the things which are, and the things which shall come to pass hereafter;
20 আমার ডান হাতে যে সাতটি তারা ও যে সাতটি সোনার দীপাধার তুমি দেখলে, তার গুপ্তরহস্য এই: ওই সাতটি তারা সেই সাতটি মণ্ডলীর দূত এবং সাতটি দীপাধার হল সেই সাতটি মণ্ডলী।
the mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks are seven churches.
