গীতসংহিতা 95
1 এসো, আমরা সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে আনন্দগান করি; আমাদের পরিত্রাণের শৈলের উদ্দেশে উচ্চস্বরে গান গাই।
Come, let us make a joyful noise to Yahweh, Let us shout in triumph, to the rock of our salvation!
2 আমরা ধন্যবাদের সঙ্গে তাঁর সামনে যাই সংগীত ও গান দিয়ে তাঁর উচ্চপ্রশংসা করি।
O let us come before his face with thanksgiving, With the sounds of strings, let us shout aloud to him.
3 কারণ সদাপ্রভু মহান ঈশ্বর, সব দেবতার উপর মহান রাজা।
For, a great GOD, is Yahweh, And a great king, above all gods.
4 পৃথিবীর গভীরস্থান তাঁর হস্তগত, এবং পর্বতগুলির চূড়া তাঁরই অধীন।
In whose hand, are the hidden recesses of the earth, And, the peaks of the mountains, are his;
5 সমুদ্র তাঁরই কেননা তিনি তা তৈরি করেছেন, আর তাঁর হাত শুষ্ক জমি নির্মাণ করেছে।
Whose, is the sea, for, he, made it, And, the dry land, his hands, did form.
6 এসো, আরাধনায় আমরা তাঁর সামনে নত হই, সদাপ্রভু আমাদের সৃষ্টিকর্তার সামনে আমরা হাঁটু পেতে বসি;
Enter! let us bow down, and bend low, Let us kneel, before Yahweh our maker;
7 কারণ তিনি আমাদের ঈশ্বর আর আমরা তাঁর চারণভূমির প্রজা, ও মেষ যাদের তিনি যত্ন করেন। আজই, যদি তোমরা তাঁর কণ্ঠস্বর শুনতে পাও,
For, he, is our God, And, we, are the people of his pasture, and the flock of his hand? To-day, if, to his voice, ye will hearken,
8 “যেমন মরীবায় করেছিলে, তেমন নিজেদের হৃদয় কঠিন কোরো না, মরুপ্রান্তরে মঃসার দিনে যেমন করেছিলে,
Do not harden your heart as at Meribah, As on the day of Massah, in the desert;
9 যেখানে তোমার পূর্বপুরুষেরা আমার পরীক্ষা করেছিল; আমাকে যাচাই করেছিল, যদিও আমি যা করেছিলাম তারা সব দেখেছিল।
When your fathers, tested me, They proved me, yea they also saw what I could do.
10 চল্লিশ বছর পর্যন্ত সেই প্রজন্মের প্রতি আমি ক্রুদ্ধ হয়েছিলাম; এবং আমি বলেছিলাম, ‘তারা এমন ধরনের লোক যাদের হৃদয় বিপথগামী হয়, আর তারা আমার পথগুলি জানে না।’
Forty years, loathed I that generation, So I said—A people going astray in heart, they are, Even they, have not known my ways!
11 তাই আমার ক্রোধে আমি এক শপথ নিয়েছিলাম, ‘আমার বিশ্রামে তারা আর কোনোদিন প্রবেশ করবে না।’”
And I sware in mine anger, —Verily they shall not enter into my rest.
