গীতসংহিতা 91
1 যে ব্যক্তি পরাৎপরের আশ্রয়ে বসবাস করে সে সর্বশক্তিমানের ছায়ায় বিশ্রাম পাবে।
Who so dwelleth in the secrete of the most High, shall abide in the shadowe of the Almightie.
2 আমি সদাপ্রভু সম্বন্ধে বলব, “তিনিই আমার আশ্রয় এবং আমার উচ্চদুর্গ, আমার ঈশ্বর, যার উপর আমি আস্থা রাখি।”
I will say vnto the Lord, O mine hope, and my fortresse: he is my God, in him will I trust.
3 নিশ্চয় তিনিই তোমাকে শিকারির ফাঁদ আর মারাত্মক মহামারি থেকে রক্ষা করবেন।
Surely he will deliuer thee from the snare of the hunter, and from the noysome pestilence.
4 তিনি নিজের পালকে তোমাকে আবৃত করবেন, এবং তাঁর ডানার তলায় তুমি আশ্রয় পাবে; তাঁর বিশ্বস্ত প্রতিশ্রুতি হবে তোমার ঢাল ও সুরক্ষা।
Hee will couer thee vnder his winges, and thou shalt be sure vnder his feathers: his trueth shall be thy shielde and buckler.
5 তুমি রাতের আতঙ্ক থেকে ভয় পাবে না, অথবা দিনে উড়ন্ত তির থেকে,
Thou shalt not be afraide of the feare of the night, nor of the arrowe that flyeth by day:
6 অথবা মহামারি থেকে যা অন্ধকারে আক্রমণ করে, অথবা সংক্রামক ব্যাধি থেকে যা দুপুরে ধ্বংস করে।
Nor of the pestilence that walketh in the darkenesse: nor of the plague that destroyeth at noone day.
7 তোমার পাশে হাজার জনের পতন হতে পারে, তোমার ডানপাশে দশ হাজার জনের, কিন্তু তা তোমার কাছে আসবে না।
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and tenne thousand at thy right hand, but it shall not come neere thee.
8 তুমি তোমার চোখ দিয়ে কেবল লক্ষ্য করবে আর দুষ্টদের শাস্তি পেতে দেখবে।
Doubtlesse with thine eyes shalt thou beholde and see the reward of the wicked.
9 যদি তুমি বলো, “সদাপ্রভু আমার আশ্রয়,” আর তুমি পরাৎপরকে নিজের বাসস্থান করো,
For thou hast said, The Lord is mine hope: thou hast set the most High for thy refuge.
10 তোমার কোনও অনিষ্ট হবে না, কোনও বিপর্যয় তোমার তাঁবুর কাছে আসবে না।
There shall none euill come vnto thee, neither shall any plague come neere thy tabernacle.
11 কারণ তিনি তাঁর দূতদের তোমার বিষয়ে তোমার চলার সব পথে তোমাকে রক্ষা করার আদেশ দেবেন;
For hee shall giue his Angels charge ouer thee to keepe thee in all thy wayes.
12 তাঁরা তোমাকে তাঁদের হাতে তুলে নেবেন, যেন তোমার পায়ে পাথরের আঘাত না লাগে।
They shall beare thee in their handes, that thou hurt not thy foote against a stone.
13 তুমি সিংহ ও কালসাপের উপর পা দিয়ে চলবে; তুমি হিংস্র সিংহ আর সাপকে পদদলিত করবে।
Thou shalt walke vpon the lyon and aspe: the yong lyon and the dragon shalt thou treade vnder feete.
14 “যেহেতু সে আমাকে ভালোবাসে,” সদাপ্রভু বলেন, “আমি তাকে উদ্ধার করব; আমি তাকে রক্ষা করব কারণ সে আমার নাম স্বীকার করে।
Because he hath loued me, therefore will I deliuer him: I will exalt him because hee hath knowen my Name.
15 সে আমার নামে ডাকবে, আর আমি তাকে উত্তর দেব; সংকটে আমি তার সঙ্গে রইব, আমি তাকে উদ্ধার করব আর সম্মানিত করব।
He shall call vpon me, and I wil heare him: I will be with him in trouble: I will deliuer him, and glorifie him.
16 দীর্ঘ জীবন দিয়ে আমি তাকে তৃপ্ত করব আর আমার পরিত্রাণ তাকে দেখাব।”
With long life wil I satisfie him, and shew him my saluation.
