গীতসংহিতা 89
1 ইষ্রাহীয় এথনের মস্কীল। আমি চিরকাল সদাপ্রভুর মহান প্রেমের গান গাইব; আমার মুখ দিয়ে আমি তোমার বিশ্বস্ততার কথা সব বংশপরম্পরার কাছে প্রকাশ করব।
“A psalm of Ethan, the Ezrahite.” I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever; With my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations!
2 আমি ঘোষণা করব যে তোমার প্রেম চিরকাল সুদৃঢ়, তোমার বিশ্বস্ততা তুমি স্বর্গে প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছ।
For I know that thy mercy endureth for ever; Thou hast established thy truth like the heavens.
3 তুমি বলেছ, “আমি আমার মনোনীত ব্যক্তির সঙ্গে নিয়ম করেছি, আমার দাস দাউদের কাছে আমি শপথ করেছি,
“I have made a covenant with my chosen; I have sworn to David, my servant:
4 ‘আমি তোমার বংশ চিরতরে স্থাপন করব এবং বংশের পর বংশ তোমার সিংহাসন সুদৃঢ় করব।’”
Thy family I will establish for ever, And build up thy throne to all generations.” (Pause)
5 হে সদাপ্রভু, আকাশমণ্ডল তোমার আশ্চর্য কাজের প্রশংসা করে, পবিত্রজনদের সমাবেশে তোমার বিশ্বস্ততার প্রশংসা করে।
The heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD! And the assembly of the holy ones thy truth!
6 কারণ, হে সদাপ্রভু, আকাশের কার সঙ্গে তোমার তুলনা হয়? স্বর্গীয় সব সত্তার মধ্যে কে সদাপ্রভুর তুল্য?
Who in the heavens can be compared to Jehovah? Who is like Jehovah among the sons of God?
7 পবিত্রজনদের পরিষদে সব তাঁকে সম্ভ্রম করে; যারা তাঁকে চারিদিকে ঘিরে রেখেছে তিনি তাদের থেকেও ভয়াবহ।
A God greatly to be feared in the assembly of the holy ones, And to be had in reverence above all who are around him?
8 হে সদাপ্রভু, সর্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বর, কে তোমার মতো? তুমি, হে সদাপ্রভু, শক্তিশালী, তোমার বিশ্বস্ততা তোমাকে ঘিরে রেখেছে।
O Jehovah, God of hosts! Who is mighty like thee, O Jehovah? And thy faithfulness is round about thee.
9 তুমি উত্তাল সমুদ্রের উপর শাসন করো; যখন তার ঢেউ উঁচুতে ওঠে, তুমি তাদের শান্ত করে থাকো।
Thou rulest the raging of the sea; When the waves thereof rise, thou stillest them!
10 তুমি রহবকে চূর্ণ করে এক হত ব্যক্তির সমান করলে; তোমার শক্তিশালী বাহু দিয়ে তুমি তোমার শত্রুদের ছিন্নভিন্ন করলে।
Thou didst break Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; Thou didst scatter thine enemies with thy mighty arm.
11 আকাশমণ্ডল তোমার, এই জগৎও তোমার; পৃথিবী ও তার মধ্যে যা কিছু আছে সমস্ত তোমারই সৃষ্টি।
The heavens are thine; thine also is the earth; The world and all that is therein, thou didst found them.
12 তুমি উত্তর ও দক্ষিণ সৃষ্টি করেছ; তাবোর ও হর্মোণ তোমার নামে আনন্দগান করে।
The North and the South were created by thee; Tabor and Hermon rejoice in thy name.
13 তোমার বাহু পরাক্রমে পূর্ণ; তোমার হাত বলবান, তোমার ডান হাত মহিমান্বিত।
Thine is a mighty arm; Strong is thy hand, and high thy right hand.
14 ধার্মিকতা আর ন্যায় তোমার সিংহাসনের ভিত্তি; প্রেম আর বিশ্বস্ততা তোমার সম্মুখবর্তী হয়।
Justice and equity are the foundation of thy throne; Mercy and truth go before thy face.
15 ধন্য তারা যারা তোমার জয়ধ্বনি করতে শিখেছে, যারা তোমার সান্নিধ্যের আলোতে চলাফেরা করে, হে সদাপ্রভু।
Happy the people that know the trumpet's sound! They walk, O LORD! in the light of thy countenance;
16 সারাদিন তারা তোমার নামে আনন্দ করে; তোমার ধর্মশীলতায় উল্লাস করে।
In thy name they daily rejoice, And in thy righteousness they glory!
17 কারণ তুমি তাদের মহিমা আর শক্তি, আর তোমার অনুগ্রহে তুমি আমাদের শিং বলশালী করেছ।
For thou art the glory of their strength; Yea, through thy favor our horn exalteth itself!
18 প্রকৃতপক্ষে, আমাদের সুরক্ষা সদাপ্রভু থেকে আসে, এবং তিনি, ইস্রায়েলের পবিত্রতম, আমাদেরকে রাজা দিয়েছেন।
For from Jehovah is our shield, And from the Holy One of Israel is our king.
19 একবার তুমি দর্শনে কথা বলেছিলে, তোমার ভক্তজনদের প্রতি তুমি বলেছিলে: “আমি এক যোদ্ধাকে শক্তি দিয়েছি; মানুষের মধ্যে থেকে আমি এক যুবককে রাজা হিসেবে মনোনীত করেছি।
Once thou spakest in a vision to thy holy one, And saidst, —”I have laid help on one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen from the people;
20 আমার দাস দাউদকে আমি খুঁজে পেয়েছি; আমার পবিত্র তেল দিয়ে আমি তাকে অভিষিক্ত করেছি।
I have found David, my servant; With my holy oil have I anointed him.
21 আমার হাত তার প্রাণ বাঁচিয়ে রাখবে; নিশ্চয় আমার বাহু তাকে শক্তি দেবে।
With him shall my hand be established, And my arm shall strengthen him.
22 কোনো শত্রু তাকে পরাজিত করবে না; কোনো দুষ্ট তাকে নির্যাতন করবে না।
The enemy shall not have power over him, Nor shall the unrighteous man oppress him.
23 তার সামনে আমি তার বিপক্ষদের চূর্ণ করব আর তার প্রতিপক্ষদের আঘাত করব।
For I will beat down his foes before him, And overthrow them that hate him.
24 আমার বিশ্বস্ত প্রেম তার সঙ্গে রইবে, আর আমার নামের মধ্য দিয়ে তার শিং গৌরবান্বিত হবে।
My faithfulness and mercy shall be with him, And through my name shall his horn be exalted.
25 সমুদ্রের উপরে আমি তার শাসন প্রসারিত করব, তার আধিপত্য নদীর উপরে।
I will extend his hand to the sea, And his right hand to the rivers.
26 সে আমাকে ডেকে বলবে, ‘তুমি আমার পিতা, আমার ঈশ্বর, শৈল আমার উদ্ধারকর্তা।’
He shall say to me, 'Thou art my father, My God, and the rock of my salvation!'
27 এবং আমি তাকে প্রথমজাতরূপে মনোনীত করব, জগতের বুকে সবচেয়ে পরাক্রমী রাজা।
I will also make him my first-born, Highest of the kings of the earth.
28 আমি চিরদিন তাকে ভালোবাসবো আর তার প্রতি দয়া করব, এবং তার প্রতি আমার নিয়ম কোনোদিন ব্যর্থ হবে না।
My mercy I will continue to him for ever; My covenant with him shall be steadfast.
29 আমি তার বংশ চিরস্থায়ী করব, আকাশমণ্ডলের মতো তার সিংহাসন স্থায়ী করব।
I will make his family to endure for ever; And his throne shall be as lasting as the heavens.
30 “যদি তার সন্তানেরা আমার বিধিনিয়ম পরিত্যাগ করে আর আমার অনুশাসন পালন না করে,
Should his children forsake my law, And walk not in my statutes,
31 তারা যদি আমার আজ্ঞা লঙ্ঘন করে আর যদি আমার আদেশ পালনে ব্যর্থ হয়,
Should they break my commandments, And observe not my precepts,
32 আমি দণ্ড দিয়ে তাদের পাপের শাস্তি দেবো, তাদের অপরাধের জন্য চাবুক মারব;
I will punish their transgressions with a rod, And their iniquity with stripes.
33 কিন্তু আমার প্রেম আমি তার কাছ থেকে সরিয়ে নেব না, এবং আমি আমার বিশ্বস্ততা কখনও ভঙ্গ করব না।
But my kindness will I not withdraw from him, Nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
34 আমি আমার নিয়ম লঙ্ঘন করব না অথবা আমার মুখ যা উচ্চারণ করেছে তা পরিবর্তন করব না।
I will not break my covenant, Nor alter what hath gone from my lips.
35 আমার পবিত্রতায় আমি একবারই শপথ করেছি— আর আমি দাউদকে মিথ্যা বলব না—
Once have I sworn in my holiness, That I will not be false unto David.
36 যে তার বংশ চিরস্থায়ী হবে এবং তার সিংহাসন আমার সামনে সূর্যের মতো স্থির রইবে
His family shall endure for ever, And his throne as the sun before me.
37 আকাশে বিশ্বস্ত সাক্ষী চন্দ্রের মতো চিরকাল তা প্রতিষ্ঠিত হবে।”
It shall be established for ever like the moon; Like the faithful witness in the sky.”
38 কিন্তু তুমি তাকে পরিত্যাগ করেছ, তুমি তাকে দূর করেছ, তোমার অভিষিক্ত ব্যক্তির প্রতি তুমি অত্যন্ত ক্রুদ্ধ হয়েছ।
But now thou forsakest and abhorrest, And art angry with, thine anointed.
39 তোমার দাসের সঙ্গে স্থাপিত তোমার নিয়ম তুমি অস্বীকার করেছ এবং তার মুকুট তুমি ধুলোতে মিশিয়ে অপবিত্র করেছ।
Thou hast made void the covenant with thy servant; Thou hast cast his crown to the ground.
40 তার সুরক্ষার সব প্রাচীর তুমি ভেঙে দিয়েছ এবং দুর্গ ধ্বংসাবশেষে পরিণত করেছ।
Thou hast broken down all his hedges; Thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.
41 সব পথিকেরা তাকে লুট করেছে; সে তার প্রতিবেশীর অবজ্ঞার বস্তু হয়েছে।
All who pass by plunder him; He is a reproach to his neighbors.
42 তুমি তার বিপক্ষদের শক্তিশালী করেছ; তুমি তার সব শত্রুকে আনন্দিত করেছ।
Thou hast lifted up the right hand of his enemies; Thou hast made all his adversaries to rejoice.
43 বস্তুত, তুমি তার তরোয়ালের ধার নষ্ট করেছ আর যুদ্ধে তাকে সাহায্য করতে অস্বীকার করেছ।
Yea, thou hast turned the edge of his sword, And made him unable to stand in battle.
44 তুমি তার প্রভা শেষ করেছ এবং তার সিংহাসন মাটিতে নিক্ষেপ করেছ।
Thou hast brought his glory to an end, And hast cast down his throne to the ground.
45 তুমি তার যৌবনকাল সংক্ষিপ্ত করেছ; তুমি তাকে লজ্জার আচ্ছাদনে আবৃত করেছ।
Thou hast shortened the days of his youth; Thou hast covered him with shame.
46 হে সদাপ্রভু, কত কাল? তুমি কি চিরকাল নিজেকে লুকিয়ে রাখবে? কত কাল তোমার ক্রোধ আগুনের মতো জ্বলবে?
How long, O LORD! wilt thou hide thyself for ever? How long shall thine anger burn like fire?
47 মনে রেখো আমার জীবন কত স্বল্পস্থায়ী। কত শূন্য ও ব্যর্থ এই মানবজীবন!
Remember how short is my life, To what frailty thou hast created all men!
What man liveth, and seeth not death? Who can deliver himself from the underworld? (Sheol h7585)
49 হে প্রভু, তোমার পূর্বকালীন মহান প্রেম কোথায়? তুমি বিশ্বস্ততায় দাউদের প্রতি যে শপথ করেছিলে।
Where, Lord, is thy former loving-kindness Which thou didst swear to David in thy truth?
50 মনে রেখো, প্রভু, কীভাবে তোমার দাস অবজ্ঞার পাত্র হয়েছে, কীভাবে আমি সব জাতির উপহাস নিজের হৃদয়ে সহ্য করি,
Remember, O Lord! the reproach of thy servants, How I bear in my bosom the taunts of all the many nations,
51 হে সদাপ্রভু, যেসব উপহাস নিয়ে তোমার শত্রুরা আমাকে বিদ্রুপ করেছে, সেসব দিয়ে তারা তোমার অভিষিক্ত ব্যক্তির প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপকে বিদ্রুপ করেছে।
With which thine enemies have reproached me, O LORD! With which they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed!
52 চিরকাল সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা হোক!
[Praised be Jehovah for ever! Amen, yea, amen!]
