1 যিদূথূন, সংগীত পরিচালকের জন্য। আসফের গীত। আমি ঈশ্বরের কাছে সাহায্যের প্রার্থনা করলাম; আমি ঈশ্বরের কাছে প্রার্থনা করলাম যেন তিনি কর্ণপাত করেন।
To the chief music-maker. After Jeduthun. Of Asaph. A Psalm. I was crying to God with my voice; even to God with my voice, and he gave ear to me.
2 যখন আমি দুর্দশায় ছিলাম, আমি প্রভুর খোঁজ করলাম; আমার হাত স্বর্গের দিকে তুলে আমি সারারাত প্রার্থনা করলাম, আর আমার প্রাণ স্বস্তি পেল না।
In the day of my trouble, my heart was turned to the Lord: my hand was stretched out in the night without resting; my soul would not be comforted.
3 আমি তোমাকে স্মরণ করলাম, হে ঈশ্বর, আর আমি আর্তনাদ করলাম; আমি ধ্যান করলাম আর আমার আত্মা ক্রমশ ক্ষীণ হল।
I will keep God in memory, with sounds of grief; my thoughts are troubled, and my spirit is overcome. (Selah)
4 তুমি আমার চোখ বন্ধ হতে দিলে না; আমি এত বেদনায় ছিলাম যে প্রার্থনা করতে পারলাম না।
You keep my eyes from sleep; I am so troubled that no words come.
5 আমি পূর্ববর্তী দিনের কথা চিন্তা করলাম, বহু বছর আগের কথা;
My thoughts go back to the days of the past, to the years which are gone.
6 রাতের বেলায় আমার গান আমার মনে এল। আমার হৃদয় ধ্যান করল আর আমার আত্মা প্রশ্ন করল:
The memory of my song comes back to me in the night; my thoughts are moving in my heart; my spirit is searching with care.
7 “প্রভু কি চিরকালের জন্য পরিত্যাগ করবেন? তিনি কি তাঁর অনুগ্রহ আর দেখাবেন না?
Will the Lord put me away for ever? will he be kind no longer?
8 তাঁর অবিচল প্রেম কি চিরকালের জন্য নিশ্চিহ্ন হয়েছে? সর্বকালের জন্য কি তাঁর প্রতিশ্রুতি ব্যর্থ হয়েছে?
Is his mercy quite gone for ever? has his word come to nothing?
9 ঈশ্বর কি দয়াশীল হতে ভুলে গেছেন? রাগে কি তিনি তাঁর করুণা দূরে সরিয়ে রেখেছেন?”
Has God put away the memory of his pity? are his mercies shut up by his wrath? (Selah)
10 তখন আমি ভাবলাম, “এই আমার পরিণতি; পরাৎপরের হাত আমার বিরুদ্ধে গিয়েছে।
And I said, It is a weight on my spirit; but I will keep in mind the years of the right hand of the Most High.
11 আমি সদাপ্রভুর কাজগুলি স্মরণ করব; হ্যাঁ! আমি তোমার পূর্বকালের আশ্চর্য কাজসকল মনে করব।
I will keep in mind the works of Jah: I will keep the memory of your wonders in the past.
12 আমি তোমার সমস্ত কাজ বিবেচনা করব আর তোমার পরাক্রমের সব কাজকর্মে ধ্যান করব।”
I will give thought to all your work, while my mind goes over your acts of power.
13 হে ঈশ্বর, তোমার সব পথ পবিত্র। আমাদের ঈশ্বরের মতো কোন দেবতা এত মহান?
Your way, O God, is holy: what god is so great as our God?
14 তুমি সেই ঈশ্বর যিনি আশ্চর্য কাজ করেন; লোকেদের মাঝে তুমি তোমার শক্তিপ্রদর্শন করে থাকো।
You are the God who does works of power: you have made your strength clear to the nations.
15 তোমার পরাক্রমী বাহু দিয়ে তুমি তোমার লোকেদের, যাকোব এবং যোষেফের বংশধরদের মুক্ত করেছ।
With your arm you have made your people free, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)
16 জলধি তোমাকে দেখল, হে ঈশ্বর, জলধি তোমাকে দেখল আর কুঁকড়ে গেল; মহা অতল কম্পিত হল।
The waters saw you, O God; the waters saw you, they were in fear: even the deep was troubled.
17 মেঘ বৃষ্টি নিয়ে এল, আকাশমণ্ডল বজ্রধ্বনি প্রতিধ্বনিত করল; তোমার বিদ্যুতের তির এদিক-ওদিক চমকে উঠল।
The clouds sent out water; the skies gave out a sound; truly, your arrows went far and wide.
18 ঘূর্ণিঝড়ের মধ্যে তোমার বজ্রধ্বনি শোনা গেল, তোমার বিদ্যুৎ পৃথিবী আলোকিত করল; জগৎ কম্পিত হল আর টলমল করে উঠল।
The voice of your thunder went rolling on; the world was flaming with the light of the storm; the earth was shaking.
19 সমুদ্রের মধ্যে তোমার পথ ছিল, মহাজলরাশির মধ্যে তোমার গতিপথ ছিল, যদিও তোমার পায়ের ছাপ দেখা গেল না।
Your way was in the sea, and your road in the great waters; there was no knowledge of your footsteps.
20 মোশি আর হারোণের হাত দ্বারা তুমি তোমার লোকেদের মেষপালের মতো পরিচালিত করেছ।
You were guiding your people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
