1 সংগীত পরিচালকের জন্য। তারযন্ত্র সহযোগে। আসফের গীত। একটি সংগীত। ঈশ্বর যিহূদাতে সুপরিচিত; ইস্রায়েলে তাঁর নাম মহান।
For the Leader; with string-music. A Psalm of Asaph, a Song. In Judah is God known; His name is great in Israel.
2 তাঁর তাঁবু শালেম নগরীতে আছে, তাঁর বাসস্থান সিয়োনে।
In Salem also is set His tabernacle, and His dwelling-place in Zion.
3 সেখানে তিনি শত্রুর জ্বলন্ত তির, ঢাল, তরোয়াল, ও যুদ্ধের অস্ত্রশস্ত্র চূর্ণ করেছেন।
There He broke the fiery shafts of the bow; the shield, and the sword, and the battle. (Selah)
4 চিরস্থায়ী পর্বতমালা থেকে তুমি উজ্জ্বল এবং অতি মহিমান্বিত।
Glorious art Thou and excellent, coming down from the mountains of prey.
5 সাহসী শত্রুরা লুন্ঠিত হয়েছে তারা আমাদের সামনে মৃত্যুর ঘুমে আচ্ছন্ন। কোনো যোদ্ধা আমাদের বিরুদ্ধে হাত তুলতে পারেনি।
The stout-hearted are bereft of sense, they sleep their sleep; and none of the men of might have found their hands.
6 হে যাকোবের ঈশ্বর, তোমার তিরস্কারে ঘোড়া ও রথ, সবই অনড় হয়ে পড়ে আছে।
At Thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, they are cast into a dead sleep, the riders also and the horses.
7 শুধু তুমিই এর যোগ্য যে সকলে তোমাকে সম্ভ্রম করবে। তুমি ক্রুদ্ধ হলে কে তোমার সামনে দাঁড়াতে পারে?
Thou, even Thou, art terrible; and who may stand in Thy sight when once Thou art angry?
8 স্বর্গ থেকে তুমি রায় ঘোষণা করেছ, পৃথিবী কেঁপে উঠল আর নিঃশব্দে তোমার সামনে দাঁড়াল—
Thou didst cause sentence to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
9 যখন তুমি হে ঈশ্বর, অন্যায়কারীদের বিচার ও জগতের নিপীড়িতদের উদ্ধার করার জন্য উঠে দাঁড়িয়েছ।
When God arose to judgment, to save all the humble of the earth. (Selah)
10 নিশ্চয় মানুষের অবাধ্যতা তোমার মহিমা বৃদ্ধি করে কেননা তুমি তা অস্ত্র হিসেবে ব্যবহার করো।
Surely the wrath of man shall praise Thee; the residue of wrath shalt Thou gird upon Thee.
11 তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর কাছে শপথ করো ও তা পূর্ণ করো; প্রতিবেশী দেশবাসীরা তাঁর কাছে উপহার নিয়ে আসুক যিনি সকলের কাছে ভয়াবহ।
Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God; let all that are round about Him bring presents unto Him that is to be feared;
12 তিনি শাসকদের আত্মা চূর্ণ করেন; এবং পৃথিবীর রাজারা তাঁকে সম্ভ্রম করে।
He minisheth the spirit of princes; He is terrible to the kings of the earth.
