গীতসংহিতা 64
1 সংগীত পরিচালকের জন্য। দাউদের গীত। আমার কথা শোনো, হে আমার ঈশ্বর, আমার অভিযোগ শোনো; শত্রুর হুমকি থেকে আমার জীবন রক্ষা করো।
“To the chief musician, a psalm of David.” Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint: preserve my life from the dread of the enemy.
2 দুষ্টদের ষড়যন্ত্র থেকে আর অনিষ্টকারীদের চক্রান্ত থেকে, আমার জীবনকে লুকিয়ে রাখো।
Hide me from the secret counsel of evil-doers, from the tumultuous assault of the workers of wickedness;
3 তারা তরোয়ালের মতো নিজেদের জিভে ধার দিয়েছে আর বিষাক্ত তিরের মতো নির্মম বাক্য দিয়ে তাদের লক্ষ্যস্থির করেছে।
Who whet their tongue like a sword, who aim with their arrow, the bitter word:
4 তারা আড়াল থেকে নির্দোষ মানুষের উপর তির ছোঁড়ে; হঠাৎ তির ছোঁড়ে, ভয় করে না।
To shoot in secret at the innocent; suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
5 তারা একে অপরকে কুটিল মন্ত্রণায় প্ররোচিত করে, এবং কীভাবে গোপনে ফাঁদ পাতা যায় তার সংকল্প করে; তারা বলে, “কে এটি দেখবে?”
They encourage themselves in an evil plan; they tell secretly of laying snares: they say, Who will see them?
6 তারা অন্যায় ষড়যন্ত্র করে আর বলে, “আমরা এক নিখুঁত পরিকল্পনা করেছি!” নিশ্চয়, মানুষের মন ও হৃদয় ধূর্ত!
They search out iniquities; “We are ready with the carefully searched out device:” and the inward thought and heart of each is deeply [hidden].
7 কিন্তু ঈশ্বর তাঁর তির তাদের দিকে নিক্ষেপ করবেন, হঠাৎ আঘাতে তারা ভূপতিত হবে।
But God shooteth at them suddenly [his] arrow; —[thence] are come their wounds.
8 তিনি তাদের জিভ তাদের বিরুদ্ধেই চালনা করবেন এবং তাদের ধ্বংস করবেন; তাদের এই দশা দেখে সকলে উপহাসে মাথা নাড়াবে।
And their own tongues will stumble over themselves: all that look on them will shake their head.
9 সব মানুষ ভীত হবে; তারা ঈশ্বরের ক্রিয়াকলাপ ঘোষণা করবে এবং তাঁর কর্মসকলে মনোনিবেশ করবে।
All men shall fear, and shall declare the deeds of God, and understand his works.
10 ধার্মিক সদাপ্রভুতে আনন্দ করবে ও তাঁতে শরণ নেবে; যারা হৃদয়ে ন্যায়পরায়ণ তারা তাঁর জয়গান করবে।
The righteous shall rejoice in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glorify themselves.
