গীতসংহিতা 63
1 দাউদের গীত। যখন তিনি যিহূদার মরুভূমিতে ছিলেন। হে ঈশ্বর, তুমিই আমার ঈশ্বর, আমি সম্পূর্ণ অন্তর দিয়ে তোমার অন্বেষণ করি, কেউ যেমন শুষ্ক ও দগ্ধ ভূমিতে জলের জন্য ব্যাকুল হয়, সেইরকম আমার প্রাণ তোমার জন্য তৃষ্ণার্ত, আমার সম্পূর্ণ সত্তা তোমার জন্য ব্যাকুল।
A Psalme of David. When he was in the wildernesse of Judah. O God, thou art my God, earely will I seeke thee: my soule thirsteth for thee: my flesh longeth greatly after thee in a barren and drye land without water.
2 তোমার পবিত্রস্থানে আমি তোমাকে দেখেছি এবং তোমার পরাক্রম ও মহিমা আমি দেখেছি।
Thus I beholde thee as in the Sanctuarie, when I beholde thy power and thy glorie.
3 আমার মুখ তোমার মহিমা করবে, কারণ তোমার প্রেম জীবনের থেকে উত্তম।
For thy louing kindnesse is better then life: therefore my lippes shall prayse thee.
4 যতদিন বাঁচব ততদিন আমি তোমার নামের প্রশংসা করব, এবং তোমার প্রতি প্রার্থনায় আমি দু-হাত তুলব।
Thus will I magnifie thee all my life, and lift vp mine hands in thy name.
5 সুস্বাদু খাবার খেয়ে আমি পরিতৃপ্ত হব, আনন্দধ্বনি গেয়ে আমি তোমার স্তব করব।
My soule shalbe satisfied, as with marowe and fatnesse, and my mouth shall praise thee with ioyfull lippes,
6 বিছানায় শুয়ে আমি তোমাকে স্মরণ করি; রাত্রির প্রহরে আমি তোমার কথা চিন্তা করি।
When I remember thee on my bedde, and when I thinke vpon thee in the night watches.
7 তোমার ডানার ছায়ায় আমি গান করি কারণ তুমিই আমার সহায়।
Because thou hast bene mine helper, therefore vnder the shadow of thy wings wil I reioyce.
8 আমি তোমাকে আঁকড়ে ধরে থাকি তোমার শক্তিশালী ডান হাত আমাকে ধারণ করে।
My soule cleaueth vnto thee: for thy right hand vpholdeth me.
9 যারা আমাকে হত্যা করতে চায় তাদের সর্বনাশ হবে, তারা পৃথিবীর গভীরস্থানে নেমে যাবে।
Therefore they that seeke my soule to destroy it, they shall goe into the lowest partes of the earth.
10 তরোয়ালের কোপে তাদের মৃত্যু হবে, এবং শিয়ালের খাবারে পরিণত হবে।
They shall cast him downe with the edge of the sword, and they shall be a portion for foxes.
11 কিন্তু রাজা, ঈশ্বরে আনন্দ করবেন; যারা সবাই ঈশ্বরে আস্থা রাখে তারা তাঁর স্তব করবে, সেই সময় মিথ্যাবাদীদের কণ্ঠ রুদ্ধ করা হবে।
But the King shall reioyce in God, and all that sweare by him shall reioyce in him: for the mouth of them that speake lyes, shall be stopped.
