গীতসংহিতা 61

1 সংগীত পরিচালকের জন্য। তারযন্ত্র সহযোগে দাউদের গীত। হে ঈশ্বর, আমার কান্না শোনো; আমার প্রার্থনায় কর্ণপাত করো।

To the chief Musician. On a stringed instrument. [A Psalm] of David. Hear, O God, my cry; attend unto my prayer.

2 পৃথিবীর সুদূর প্রান্ত থেকে আমি তোমাকে ডাকি, আমি তোমাকে ডাকি যখন আমার হৃদয় নিস্তেজ হয়; আমার থেকে সুরক্ষিত উচ্চ শৈলের উপরে আমাকে নিয়ে চলো।

From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: thou wilt lead me on to a rock which is too high for me.

3 কারণ তুমি আমার আশ্রয় হয়েছ, বিপক্ষের বিরুদ্ধে তুমি আমার সুদৃঢ় দুর্গ।

For thou hast been a refuge for me, a strong tower from before the enemy.

4 আমি চিরকাল তোমার তাঁবুতে বসবাস করার আকাঙ্ক্ষা করি এবং তোমার ডানার ছায়াতে আশ্রয় নিই।

I will sojourn in thy tent for ever; I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings. (Selah)

5 হে ঈশ্বর, তুমি আমার প্রতিটি শপথ শুনেছ; যারা তোমার নাম ভয় করে তাদের উত্তরাধিকার তুমি আমাকে দিয়েছ।

For thou, O God, hast heard my vows; thou hast given [me] the inheritance of those that fear thy name.

6 রাজার জীবনের দিনগুলি, বহু প্রজন্ম ধরে তাঁর আয়ু বৃদ্ধি করো।

Thou wilt add days to the days of the king: his years shall be as many generations.

7 তিনি চিরকাল ঈশ্বরের সামনে সিংহাসনে অধিষ্ঠিত থাকুন; তোমার দয়া ও বিশ্বস্ততা তাঁকে সুরক্ষিত রাখুক।

He shall abide before God for ever: bestow loving-kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.

8 তখন আমি চিরকাল তোমার নামের স্তুতিগান গাইব এবং দিনের পর দিন আমার শপথ পালন করব।

So will I sing forth thy name for ever, performing my vows from day to day.
