গীতসংহিতা 50
1 আসফের গীত। সদাপ্রভু, পরাক্রমী জন, তিনিই ঈশ্বর, তিনি কথা বলেন সূর্যের উদয় থেকে অস্ত যাওয়ার স্থান পর্যন্ত তিনি পৃথিবীর সব মানুষকে তলব করেন।
A Psalm of Asaph. The mighty God, [even] the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising to the setting of the sun.
2 সিয়োন থেকে, পরম সৌন্দর্যের স্থান থেকে, ঈশ্বর দীপ্তিমান রয়েছেন।
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.
3 আমাদের ঈশ্বর আসছেন আর তিনি নীরব রইবেন না; এক সর্বগ্রাসী আগুন তাঁর অগ্রবর্তী, এবং এক প্রচণ্ড ঝড় তাঁর চতুর্দিকে বইছে।
Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous around him.
4 তিনি আকাশমণ্ডলকে তলব করলেন, এবং পৃথিবীকেও, যেন তিনি তাঁর ভক্তজনের বিচার করেন:
He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
5 “আমার পবিত্র লোকেদের আমার কাছে একত্রিত করো, যারা বলিদানসহ আমার সঙ্গে এক নিয়ম স্থাপন করেছিল।”
Gather my saints together to me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
6 আকাশমণ্ডল তাঁর ধার্মিকতা প্রচার করে, কারণ ঈশ্বর স্বয়ং বিচারক।
And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God [is] judge himself. (Selah)
7 “শোনো, আমার ভক্তজন, আর আমি কথা বলব; ইস্রায়েল, আমি তোমার বিরুদ্ধে সাক্ষ্য দেব: আমি ঈশ্বর, তোমার ঈশ্বর।
Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I [am] God, [even] thy God.
8 তোমার নিবেদিত নৈবেদ্য সম্পর্কে আমি তোমার বিরুদ্ধে কোনো অভিযোগ আনব না অথবা তোমার হোমবলি সম্পর্কে, যা সর্বক্ষণ আমার সামনে আছে।
I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt-offerings, [to have been] continually before me.
9 তোমার গোশালা থেকে আমার বলদের প্রয়োজন নেই অথবা তোমার খোঁয়াড় থেকে ছাগলের প্রয়োজন নেই,
I will take no bullock out of thy house, [nor] he-goats out of thy folds.
10 কারণ অরণ্যের সব প্রাণী আমার, এবং হাজার পর্বতের উপর গবাদি পশুও আমার।
For every beast of the forest [is] mine, [and] the cattle upon a thousand hills.
11 পর্বতমালার সব পাখি আমার পরিচিত, আর প্রান্তরের সব কীটপতঙ্গ আমার।
I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field [are] mine.
12 যদি আমি ক্ষুধার্ত হই আমি তোমাকে কিছু বলব না, কারণ এই পৃথিবী আমার, আর যা কিছু এতে আছে, তাও আমার।
If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world [is] mine, and the fullness thereof.
13 আমি কি বলদের মাংস খাই বা ছাগলের রক্ত পান করি?
Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
14 “ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশে ধন্যবাদের নৈবেদ্য উৎসর্গ করো, পরাৎপরের কাছে তোমার শপথ পূর্ণ করো,
Offer to God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows to the Most High:
15 এবং সংকটের দিনে আমাকে ডেকো; আমি তোমাকে উদ্ধার করব, আর তুমি আমার গৌরব করবে।”
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
16 কিন্তু দুষ্ট ব্যক্তিকে ঈশ্বর বলেন: “আমার বিধি পাঠ করার বা আমার নিয়ম তোমার মুখে আনার অধিকার কি তোমার আছে?
But to the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or [that] thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?
17 তুমি আমার নির্দেশ ঘৃণা করো আর আমার সমস্ত আদেশ অগ্রাহ্য করো।
Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
18 যখন তুমি এক চোর দেখো, তুমি তার সঙ্গে যুক্ত হও; আর তুমি ব্যভিচারীদের সঙ্গে সময় কাটাও।
When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.
19 তুমি তোমার মুখ অসৎ কাজে ব্যবহার করো আর তোমার জিভ ছলনায় সাজিয়ে রাখো।
Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
20 তুমি বসে থাকো আর তোমার ভাইয়ের বিরুদ্ধে সাক্ষ্য দাও এবং তোমার নিজের মায়ের সন্তানের নিন্দা করো।
Thou sittest [and] speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thy own mother's son.
21 যখন তুমি এসব করেছিলে আর আমি নীরব ছিলাম, তুমি ভেবেছিলে যে আমি ঠিক তোমারই মতো। কিন্তু এখন আমি তোমাকে তিরস্কার করব এবং আমার সব অভিযোগ তোমার সামনে রাখব।
These [things] hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether [such an one] as thyself: [but] I will reprove thee, and set [them] in order before thine eyes.
22 “তোমরা যারা ঈশ্বরকে ভুলে যাও, এখন বিবেচনা করো, নতুবা আমি তোমাদের ছিন্নভিন্ন করব, কেউ তোমাদের রক্ষা করবে না:
Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear [you] in pieces, and [there be] none to deliver.
23 যারা ধন্যবাদের নৈবেদ্য নিবেদন করে, তারা আমাকে সম্মান করে, আর যে নির্দোষ তাকে আমি আমার পরিত্রাণ দেখাব।”
Whoever offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth [his] deportment [aright] will I show the salvation of God.
