গীতসংহিতা 5
1 সংগীত পরিচালকের জন্য। বাঁশি সহযোগে দাউদের গীত। হে সদাপ্রভু, আমার কথা শোনো, আমার বিলাপে কর্ণপাত করো।
Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my (meditation)
2 আমার সাহায্যের আর্তনাদ শোনো, হে আমার রাজা আমার ঈশ্বর, তোমার কাছেই আমি প্রার্থনা করি।
Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto you will I pray.
3 সকালে, হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমি আমার কণ্ঠস্বর শোনো; সকালে আমার প্রার্থনা আমি তোমার সামনে রাখি এবং আগ্রহভরে অপেক্ষা করি।
My voice shall you hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto you, and will look up.
4 কারণ তুমি এমন ঈশ্বর নও যিনি দুষ্টতায় সন্তুষ্ট হন; কারণ তুমি দুষ্টদের পাপ সহ্য করতে পারো না।
For you are not a God that has pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with you.
5 দাম্ভিকেরা তোমার সামনে দাঁড়াতে পারে না। যারা অধর্ম করে তাদের তুমি ঘৃণা করো;
The foolish shall not stand in your sight: you hate all workers of iniquity.
6 মিথ্যাবাদীদের তুমি ধ্বংস করো। যারা রক্তপিপাসু ও ছলনাকারী তুমি, হে সদাপ্রভু, তাদের ঘৃণা করো।
You shall destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will detest the bloody and deceitful man.
7 কিন্তু আমি, তোমার মহান প্রেমের গুণে, তোমার ভবনে প্রবেশ করতে পারি; তোমার পবিত্র মন্দিরের সামনে শ্রদ্ধায় আমি নত হই।
But as for me, I will come into your house in the multitude of your mercy: and in your fear will I worship toward your holy temple.
8 হে সদাপ্রভু, তোমার ধার্মিকতায় আমাকে চালনা করো, নতুবা আমার শত্রুগণ আমার উপরে জয়লাভ করবে। তোমার পথ আমার সামনে সরল করো যেন অনুসরণ করতে পারি।
Lead me, O LORD, in your righteousness because of mine enemies; make your way straight before my face.
9 তাদের মুখের কোনও কথাই বিশ্বাসযোগ্য নয়; হিংসায় ওদের অন্তর পূর্ণ। তাদের কণ্ঠ অনাবৃত সমাধির মতো, তারা জিভ দিয়ে মিথ্যা কথা বলে।
For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open tomb; they flatter with their tongue.
10 হে ঈশ্বর, তুমি ওদের অপরাধী ঘোষণা করো! ওদের চক্রান্ত ওদের পতন ডেকে আনুক। ওদের পাপের জন্য ওদের বিতাড়িত করো, কারণ ওরা তোমার বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্রোহ করেছে।
Destroy you them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against you.
11 কিন্তু যারা তোমাতে আশ্রয় নেয় তারা আনন্দ করুক; তারা চিরকাল আনন্দগান করুক। তোমার সুরক্ষা তাদের উপর বিছিয়ে দাও, যেন যারা তোমার নাম ভালোবাসে, তারা তোমাতে উল্লাস করে।
But let all those that put their trust in you rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because you defend them: let them also that love your name be joyful in you.
12 নিশ্চয়, হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমি ধার্মিকদের আশীর্বাদ করো; সুরক্ষা ঢালের মতো তোমার অনুগ্রহ দিয়ে তাদের ঘিরে রাখো।
For you, LORD, will bless the righteous; with favour will you compass him as with a shield.
