গীতসংহিতা 43

1 হে ঈশ্বর, আমাকে নির্দোষ ঘোষণা করো, এক অবিশ্বস্ত জাতির বিরুদ্ধে, আমার পক্ষসমর্থন করো। যারা ছলনাকারী ও দুর্নীতিপরায়ণ তাদের হাত থেকে আমাকে উদ্ধার করো।

Judge me, O God, and defend my cause against the vnmercifull people: deliuer mee from the deceitfull and wicked man.

2 তুমিই আমার ঈশ্বর, আমার আশ্রয় দুর্গ, কেন তুমি আমাকে পরিত্যাগ করেছ? কেন আমি আমার শত্রুর অত্যাচারে বিষণ্ণ মনে এদিক-ওদিক ঘুরে বেড়াব?

For thou art the God of my strength: why hast thou put me away? why goe I so mourning, when the enemie oppresseth me?

3 তোমার জ্যোতি ও তোমার সত্য আমার কাছে পাঠাও, তারা আমাকে পথ দেখাক; তারা তোমার পবিত্র পর্বতে আমাকে নিয়ে যাক সেই স্থানে যেখানে তুমি বসবাস করো।

Sende thy light and thy trueth: let them leade mee: let them bring mee vnto thine holy Mountaine and to thy Tabernacles.

4 তখন আমি ঈশ্বরের বেদির কাছে যাব, ঈশ্বরের সান্নিধ্যে—যিনি আমার সব আনন্দের উৎস। হে ঈশ্বর, আমার ঈশ্বর সুরবাহারের ঝংকারে আমি তোমার স্তুতি করব।

Then wil I go vnto the altar of God, euen vnto the God of my ioy and gladnes: and vpon the harpe wil I giue thanks vnto thee, O God, my God.

5 হে আমার প্রাণ, কেন তুমি অবসন্ন? কেন তুমি অন্তরে এত হতাশ? ঈশ্বরে তুমি আশা রাখো, কারণ আমি আবার তাঁর প্রশংসা করব যিনি আমার পরিত্রাতা ও আমার ঈশ্বর।

Why art thou cast downe, my soule? and why art thou disquieted within mee? waite on God: for I will yet giue him thankes, he is my present helpe, and my God.
