1 সংগীত পরিচালকের জন্য। দাউদের গীত। আমি ধৈর্যসহ সদাপ্রভুর প্রতীক্ষায় ছিলাম; তিনি আমার প্রতি মনোযোগ দিলেন আর আমার প্রার্থনা শুনলেন।
I waited patiently for Adonai. He turned to me, and sh'ma ·heard obeyed· my cry.
2 তিনি হতাশার গহ্বর থেকে আমাকে টেনে তুললেন, কাদা এবং পাঁক থেকে; তিনি এক শৈলের উপর আমার পা স্থাপন করলেন এবং আমাকে দাঁড়াবার জন্য এক সুদৃঢ় স্থান দিলেন।
He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay. He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand.
3 তিনি আমার মুখে এক নতুন গান দিলেন, আমাদের ঈশ্বরের জন্য এক প্রশংসার গীত দিলেন। অনেকে এসব দেখবে আর সদাপ্রভুকে সম্ভ্রম করবে আর তাঁর উপর আস্থা স্থাপন করবে।
He has put a new song in my mouth, even tehilah ·praise song· to our God. Many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in Adonai.
4 ধন্য সেই ব্যক্তি যে সদাপ্রভুর উপর আস্থা রাখে, যে দাম্ভিকের উপর নির্ভর করে না, বা ভুয়ো দেবতার আরাধনাকারীদের উপর নির্ভর করে না।
Blessed is the man who makes Adonai his trust, and does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
5 হে সদাপ্রভু, আমার ঈশ্বর, প্রচুর তোমার অলৌকিক কাজ, প্রচুর তোমার পরিকল্পনা আমাদের জন্য। তোমার মতো কেউ নেই; যদি আমি তোমার সব কাজ বলতে শুরু করি, কিন্তু সে সব কোনোভাবেই গোনা যাবে না।
Many, Adonai, my God, are the wonderful works which you have done, and your thoughts which are toward us. They can’t be declared back to you. If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be counted.
6 তুমি বলিদানে ও নৈবেদ্যে প্রীত নও, কিন্তু তুমি আমার কান খুলে দিয়েছ, আর আমি বুঝতে পেরেছি— হোমবলি বা পাপার্থক বলি তুমি চাওনি।
Sacrifices and offerings you don’t want; burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin ·missing the goal· you have not required. Instead, you have opened my ears.
7 তখন আমি বললাম, “এই দেখো, আমি এসেছি, শাস্ত্রে আমার বিষয়ে লেখা আছে।
So then I said, “Behold, I have come! In the scroll of a book it is written about me.
8 আমি তোমার ইচ্ছা পালন করতে চাই, হে ঈশ্বর; তোমার বিধিনিয়ম আমার হৃদয়ে আছে।”
I delight to do your will, my God. Yes, your Torah ·Teaching· is within my heart.”
9 তোমার সব লোককে আমি তোমার ন্যায়বিচারের কথা বলেছি, আমি আমার মুখ বন্ধ করিনি, হে সদাপ্রভু, এসব তুমি জানো।
I have proclaimed glad news of righteousness in the great assembly. Behold, I will not seal my lips, Adonai, you know.
10 তোমার ধর্মশীলতার কথা আমি হৃদয়ে লুকিয়ে রাখিনি; আমি তোমার বিশ্বস্ততা ও পরিত্রাণ ঘোষণা করেছি। তোমার প্রেম ও বিশ্বস্ততা মহাসমাবেশ থেকে আমি লুকিয়ে রাখিনি।
I have not hidden your righteousness within my heart. I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation. I have not concealed your chesed ·loving-kindness· and your truth from the great assembly.
11 হে সদাপ্রভু, তোমার করুণা থেকে আমাকে বঞ্চিত কোরো না, তোমার প্রেম ও বিশ্বস্ততা আমাকে সর্বদা সুরক্ষিত করুক।
Don’t withhold your tender rachamim ·merciful loves· from me, Adonai. Let your chesed ·loving-kindness· and your truth continually preserve me.
12 দেখো, অগণিত অশান্তি আমাকে চারিদিকে ঘিরে রেখেছে; আমার সব অপরাধ আমাকে ধরেছে, আমি কোনো পথ দেখতে পাই না, সেগুলি আমার মাথার চুলের থেকেও বেশি, এবং আমি সমস্ত সাহস হারিয়েছি।
For innumerable evils have surrounded me. My depravities (moral evils) have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up. They are more than the hairs of my head. My heart has failed me.
13 প্রসন্ন হও, হে সদাপ্রভু, আর আমাকে উদ্ধার করো; তাড়াতাড়ি এসো, হে সদাপ্রভু, আর আমাকে সাহায্য করো।
Be pleased, Adonai, to deliver me. Hurry to help me, Adonai.
14 যারা আমার প্রাণনাশের চেষ্টা করে তারা যেন লজ্জিত ও অপমানিত হয়; যারা আমার ধ্বংস কামনা করে, তারা যেন লাঞ্ছনায় পিছু ফিরে যায়।
Let them be disappointed and confounded together who seek after my soul to destroy it. Let them be turned backward and brought to dishonor who delight in my hurt.
15 যারা আমাকে বলে, “হা! হা!” তারা যেন নিজেদের লজ্জাতে হতভম্ব হয়।
Let them be desolate by reason of their shame that tell me, “Aha! Aha!”
16 কিন্তু যারা তোমার অন্বেষণ করে তারা তোমাতে আনন্দ করুক ও খুশি হোক; যারা তোমার পরিত্রাণ ভালোবাসে, তারা সর্বদা বলুক, “সদাপ্রভু মহান!”
Let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you. Let all who 'ahav ·affectionately love· your salvation say continually, “Let Adonai be exalted and magnified!”
17 কিন্তু দেখো, আমি দরিদ্র ও অভাবী; প্রভু আমার কথা চিন্তা করুক; তুমি আমার সহায় ও আমার রক্ষাকর্তা; তুমি আমার ঈশ্বর, দেরি কোরো না।
But I am poor and needy. May 'Adonay [Lord] think about me. You are my help and my deliverer. Don’t delay, my God.
