গীতসংহিতা 33
1 হে ধার্মিকেরা, সদাপ্রভুর আনন্দধ্বনি করো; তাঁর প্রশংসা করা ন্যায়পরায়ণদের উপযুক্ত।
Rejoice in Adonai, you upright! Tehilah ·Praise song· is fitting for the upright.
2 তোমরা বীণাতে সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করো; দশতন্ত্রী সুরবাহারে তাঁর উদ্দেশে সংগীত করো।
Yadah ·Extend hands in thankful praise· to Adonai with the lyre. Sing zahmar ·musical praise· to him with the harp of ten strings.
3 তাঁর উদ্দেশে নতুন গান গাও; নিপুণ হাতে বাজাও ও আনন্দধ্বনি করো।
Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a shout of joy!
4 সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য সঠিক ও সত্য; তিনি যা কিছু করেন সবকিছুতেই বিশ্বস্ত।
For Adonai’s word is right. All his work is done in faithfulness.
5 সদাপ্রভু ন্যায়বিচার ও ধার্মিকতা ভালোবাসেন; পৃথিবী তাঁর অবিচল প্রেমে পূর্ণ।
He 'ahav ·affectionately loves· righteousness and mishpat ·justice·. The earth is full of the chesed ·loving-kindness· of Adonai.
6 সদাপ্রভুর বাক্যে আকাশমণ্ডল সৃষ্টি হয়েছিল, তাঁর মুখের নিঃশ্বাসে তারকারাশি তৈরি হয়েছিল।
By Adonai’s word, the heavens were made; all their army by the breath of his mouth.
7 তিনি সমুদ্রের সীমানা নির্দিষ্ট করেন এবং মহাসমুদ্রের জলরাশি জলাধারে সঞ্চিত করেন।
He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He lays up the deeps in storehouses.
8 সমস্ত পৃথিবী সদাপ্রভুকে সম্ভ্রম করুক; জগতের সব লোক তাঁর সমাদর করুক।
Let all the earth fear Adonai. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
9 কারণ তিনি কথা বললেন, আর সৃষ্টি হল; তিনি আদেশ দিলেন আর স্থিতি হল।
For he spoke, and it was done. He enjoined, and it stood firm.
10 জাতিদের পরিকল্পনা সদাপ্রভু ব্যর্থ করেন; মানুষের সব সংকল্প তিনি বিফল করেন।
Adonai brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.
11 কিন্তু সদাপ্রভুর পরিকল্পনা চিরস্থায়ী হয়, তাঁর হৃদয়ের উদ্দেশ্য বংশের পর বংশ স্থায়ী হয়।
The counsel of Adonai stands fast forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
12 ধন্য সেই জাতি, যার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু, সেই সমাজ যাকে তিনি তাঁর অধিকারের জন্য মনোনীত করেছেন।
Blessed is the nation whose God is Adonai, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
13 স্বর্গ থেকে সদাপ্রভু দৃষ্টিপাত করেন এবং সমগ্র মানবজাতিকে দেখেন;
Adonai looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men.
14 যারা পৃথিবীতে বসবাস করে তাদের তিনি নিজের বাসস্থান থেকে লক্ষ্য করেন।
From the place of his habitation he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth,
15 তিনি তাদের হৃদয় তৈরি করেছেন, তাই তারা যা কিছু করে তিনি সব বুঝতে পারেন।
he who fashions all of their hearts; and he considers all of their works.
16 কোনো রাজা তার সৈন্যদলের আকারে রক্ষা পায় না; কোনো যোদ্ধা নিজের শক্তিবলে পালাতে পারে না।
There is no king saved by the multitude of an army. A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
17 জয়লাভের জন্য নিজের ঘোড়ার উপর নির্ভর কোরো না, বিপুল সামর্থ্য থাকা সত্ত্বেও তা তোমাকে রক্ষা করতে পারে না।
A horse is a vain thing for safety, neither does he deliver any by his great power.
18 কিন্তু সদাপ্রভুর দৃষ্টি তাদের প্রতি আবদ্ধ যারা তাঁকে সম্ভ্রম করে আর যারা তাঁর অবিচল প্রেমে আস্থা রাখে,
Behold, Adonai’s eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his loving kindness;
19 তিনি মৃত্যু থেকে তাদের উদ্ধার করেন, এবং দুর্ভিক্ষের সময় তাদের প্রাণরক্ষা করেন।
to deliver their soul from death, to keep them alive in famine.
20 আমরা সদাপ্রভুর প্রতীক্ষায় আছি; তিনি আমাদের সহায় ও আমাদের ঢাল।
Our soul has waited for Adonai. He is our help and our shield.
21 আমাদের হৃদয় সদাপ্রভুতে আনন্দ করে, কারণ আমরা তাঁর পবিত্র নামে আস্থা রাখি।
For our heart rejoices in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
22 হে সদাপ্রভু, তোমার অবিচল প্রেম আমাদের উপর বিরাজ করুক, কারণ তোমার উপরেই আমরা আশা করি।
Let your loving kindness be on us, Adonai, since we have hoped in you.
