গীতসংহিতা 29

1 দাউদের গীত। হে ঈশ্বরের সন্তানেরা, সদাপ্রভুর কীর্তন করো, তাঁর মহিমা ও পরাক্রম কীর্তন করো।

A Psalm of David. Give unto Jehovah, ye sons of the mighty ones, give unto Jehovah glory and strength;

2 তাঁর নামের মহিমার কীর্তন করো, পবিত্র শোভায় সদাপ্রভুর আরাধনা করো।

Give unto Jehovah the glory of his name; worship Jehovah in holy splendour.

3 জলের উপর সদাপ্রভুর কণ্ঠস্বর শোনা যায়; মহিমার ঈশ্বর বজ্রধ্বনি করেন, মহাজলরাশির উপরে সদাপ্রভু বজ্রধ্বনি করেন।

The voice of Jehovah is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth, — Jehovah upon great waters.

4 সদাপ্রভুর কণ্ঠস্বর শক্তিশালী; সদাপ্রভুর কণ্ঠস্বর মহিমান্বিত।

The voice of Jehovah is powerful; the voice of Jehovah is full of majesty.

5 সদাপ্রভুর কণ্ঠস্বর দেবদারু গাছ ভেঙে দেয়; লেবাননের দেবদারুবন ছিন্নভিন্ন করেন।

The voice of Jehovah breaketh cedars; yea, Jehovah breaketh the cedars of Lebanon:

6 তিনি লেবাননের পর্বতমালাকে বাছুরের মতো নাচিয়ে তোলেন, বন্য ষাঁড়ের মতো সিরিয়োণকে করেন।

And he maketh them to skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young buffalo.

7 সদাপ্রভুর কণ্ঠস্বর বজ্রবিদ্যুতের ঝলকের সাথে আঘাত করে।

The voice of Jehovah cleaveth out flames of fire.

8 সদাপ্রভুর কণ্ঠস্বর মরুভূমি কাঁপিয়ে দেয়; সদাপ্রভু কাদেশের মরুভূমি কাঁপিয়ে তোলে।

The voice of Jehovah shaketh the wilderness; Jehovah shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 সদাপ্রভুর কণ্ঠস্বর ওক গাছ দুমড়ে-মুচড়ে দেয় এবং অরণ্য অনাবৃত করে। এবং তাঁর মন্দিরে সকলে বলে “মহিমা!”

The voice of Jehovah maketh the hinds to calve, and layeth bare the forests; and in his temple doth every one say, Glory!

10 সদাপ্রভু মহাপ্লাবনের উপর অধিষ্ঠিত; সদাপ্রভু চিরকালের জন্য অধিষ্ঠিত রাজা।

Jehovah sitteth upon the flood; yea, Jehovah sitteth as king for ever.

11 সদাপ্রভু তাঁর লোকদের শক্তি দেন; সদাপ্রভু তাঁর লোকদের শান্তি দিয়ে আশীর্বাদ করেন।

Jehovah will give strength unto his people; Jehovah will bless his people with peace.
