গীতসংহিতা 28
1 দাউদের গীত। তোমার প্রতি, হে সদাপ্রভু, আমি প্রার্থনা করি; তুমি আমার শৈল, তুমি আমার প্রতি বধির হোয়ো না। কারণ তুমি যদি নীরব থাকো, আমার দশা তাদের মতো হবে যারা গর্তে পতিত হয়েছে।
A Psalme of David. Unto thee, O Lord, doe I crie: O my strength, be not deafe toward mee, lest, if thou answere me not, I be like them that goe downe into the pit.
2 যখন আমি সাহায্যের আশায় তোমাকে ডাকি, যখন তোমার মহাপবিত্র আবাসের দিকে আমি হাত তুলি তুমি আমার বিনতি শ্রবণ করো।
Heare the voyce of my petitions, when I crie vnto thee, when I holde vp mine handes towarde thine holy Oracle.
3 দুষ্টদের ও অধর্মাচারীদের সঙ্গে, আমাকে টেনে নিয়ো না, ওরা প্রতিবেশীদের সঙ্গে বন্ধুর মতো কথা বলে অথচ অন্তরে তারা বিদ্বেষভাব পোষণ করে।
Drawe mee not away with the wicked, and with the woorkers of iniquitie: which speake friendly to their neighbours, when malice is in their hearts.
4 তুমি তাদের কাজের ফল দান করো তাদের দুষ্কর্মের প্রতিফল তাদের দাও; তাদের হাতের কাজের প্রতিদান তাদের দাও এবং তাদের যা প্রাপ্য সেইসব তাদের উপর নিয়ে এসো।
Reward them according to their deedes, and according to the wickednes of their inuentions: recompense them after the woorke of their handes: render them their reward.
5 সদাপ্রভুর সব কাজ আর তাঁর হাত যা সাধন করেছে সেইসব তারা সমাদর করে না, তাই তিনি তাদের ধ্বংস করবেন এবং কখনও আর তাদের গড়ে তুলবেন না।
For they regarde not the woorkes of the Lord, nor the operation of his handes: therefore breake them downe, and builde them not vp.
6 সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা হোক, কারণ তিনি আমার বিনতি শুনেছেন।
Praised be the Lord, for he hath heard the voyce of my petitions.
7 সদাপ্রভু আমার শক্তি ও আমার ঢাল; আমার হৃদয় তাঁর উপর আস্থা রাখে এবং তিনি আমাকে সাহায্য করেন। আমার হৃদয় আনন্দে উল্লসিত এবং গানের মাধ্যমে আমি তাঁর প্রশংসা করব।
The Lord is my strength and my shielde: mine heart trusted in him, and I was helped: therfore mine heart shall reioyce, and with my song will I praise him.
8 সদাপ্রভু তাঁর লোকদের শক্তি, তাঁর অভিষিক্ত-জনের মুক্তিদুর্গ।
The Lord is their strength, and he is the strength of the deliuerances of his anointed.
9 তোমার লোকদের রক্ষা করো ও তোমার অধিকারকে আশীর্বাদ করো; তুমি তাদের পালক হও এবং তাদের চিরকাল বহন করো।
Saue thy people, and blesse thine inheritance: feede them also, and exalt them for euer.
