গীতসংহিতা 26

1 দাউদের গীত। হে সদাপ্রভু, আমাকে নির্দোষ মান্য করো, কারণ আমি নির্দোষ জীবনযাপন করেছি; আমি সদাপ্রভুতে আস্থা রেখেছি এবং বিপথে যাইনি।

“A psalm of David.” Be thou my judge, O LORD! for I have walked in uprightness. I have put my trust in the LORD, therefore shall I not fall.

2 হে সদাপ্রভু, আমাকে পরখ করো ও যাচাই করো, আমার হৃদয় ও মন পরীক্ষা করো;

Examine me, O LORD! and prove me; Try my reins and my heart!

3 কেননা তোমার চিরস্থায়ী প্রেমে আমি সর্বদা মনযোগী এবং তোমার বিশ্বস্ততায় নির্ভর করে বেঁচে রয়েছি।

For thy kindness is ever before my eyes, And I walk in thy truth.

4 আমি প্রতারকদের সঙ্গে বসি না, ভণ্ডদের সঙ্গে আমি পথ চলি না।

I sit not with men of falsehood. And go not in company with dissemblers.

5 অনিষ্টকারীদের সমাবেশ আমি ঘৃণা করি এবং দুষ্টদের সাথে বসতে অস্বীকার করি।

I hate the assembly of evil-doers, And do not sit with the wicked.

6 আমি নির্দোষিতায় আমার হাত পরিষ্কার করি, এবং তোমার যজ্ঞবেদিতে আসি, হে সদাপ্রভু,

I wash my hands in innocence. And go around thine altar. O LORD!

7 উচ্চস্বরে তোমার প্রশংসা করি এবং তোমার অপূর্ব কীর্তিকাহিনি ঘোষণা করি।

To utter the voice of thanksgiving, And tell of all thy wondrous works.

8 হে সদাপ্রভু, আমি তোমার পবিত্রস্থান আর যেখানে তোমার মহিমা বিরাজ করে, সেই স্থানটি ভালোবাসি।

O LORD! I love the habitation of thy house, The place where thine honor dwelleth!

9 পাপীদের সাথে তুমি আমার প্রাণ নিয়ো না, হত্যাকারীদের সাথে আমার জীবন নিয়ো না,

Gather not my breath with sinners, Nor my life with men of blood,

10 তাদের হাতে আছে দুষ্কর্মের ফন্দি, তাদের ডান হাত ঘুসে পরিপূর্ণ।

In whose hands is mischief, And whose right hands are full of bribes!

11 আমি নির্দোষ জীবনযাপন করি; আমাকে রক্ষা করো ও আমার প্রতি দয়া করো।

But as for me, I walk in my integrity; Oh, redeem me, and be merciful to me!

12 আমার পা সমতল জমিতে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে, এবং মহাসমাবেশে আমি সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করব।

My feet tread in a straight path; In the congregation will I bless the LORD.
