1 দাউদের গীত। এই জগৎ, তার মধ্যে থাকা সবকিছু, এই পৃথিবী, আর যা কিছু এতে আছে, সব সদাপ্রভুরই;
The earth and everything in it belongs to Yahweh; all the people in the world belong to him, too,
2 কারণ তিনি তা সমুদ্রের উপর স্থাপন করেছেন আর জলধির উপর তা নির্মাণ করেছেন।
because he caused the ground to be above the water, above the water that was deep below the surface of the earth.
3 কে সদাপ্রভুর পর্বতে আরোহণ করবে? কে তাঁর পুণ্যস্থানে দাঁড়াবে?
Who will be allowed to go up on Zion Hill [in Jerusalem], in order to stand [and worship] in Yahweh’s holy temple?
4 সে, যার হাত পরিষ্কার ও হৃদয় নির্মল, যে প্রতিমায় আস্থা রাখে না অথবা মিথ্যা দেবতার নামে শপথ করে না।
[Only] those whose actions [MTY] and thoughts are pure, who have not worshiped idols, and who do not tell lies when they have solemnly promised [to tell the truth].
5 তারা সদাপ্রভুর কাছ থেকে আশীর্বাদ লাভ করবে এবং তাদের ঈশ্বর উদ্ধারকর্তার কাছ থেকে সমর্থন পাবে।
(They will be blessed by Yahweh/Yahweh will bless them). When God [judges them], he, who has saved them, will say that they (have done nothing wrong/are without fault).
6 এই সেই প্রজন্ম, যারা তোমাকে অন্বেষণ করে, তারা তোমার মুখ অন্বেষণ করে, হে যাকোবের ঈশ্বর।
They are the ones who approach God, they are the ones who may worship God, the one [we] Israelis worship.
7 হে দ্বারসকল, মাথা তুলে দেখো; হে প্রাচীন দরজা, উত্থিত হও, যেন গৌরবের রাজা প্রবেশ করতে পারেন।
Open up [APO] the [temple] gates in order that our glorious king may enter!
8 কে এই গৌরবের রাজা? সদাপ্রভু শক্তিশালী ও বলবান, সদাপ্রভু যুদ্ধে বলবান।
[Do you know] who the glorious king is? He is Yahweh, the one who is very strong [DOU]; He is Yahweh, who conquers [all his enemies] in battles!
9 হে দ্বারসকল, মাথা তুলে দেখো; হে প্রাচীন দরজা, তাদের তুলে ধরো, যেন গৌরবের রাজা প্রবেশ করতে পারেন।
Open up the [temple] gates in order that our glorious king may enter!
10 কে এই গৌরবের রাজা? তিনি সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভু তিনি গৌরবের রাজা।
[Do you know] who the glorious king is? He is Yahweh almighty; he is our glorious king!
