গীতসংহিতা 21
1 প্রধান সংগীত পরিচালকের জন্য। দাউদের গীত। হে সদাপ্রভু, তোমার পরাক্রমে রাজা উল্লাস করেন, তিনি আনন্দে চিৎকার করেন কারণ তুমি তাঁকে বিজয়ী করেছ।
Unto the end. A psalm for David. In thy strength, O Lord, the king shall joy; and in thy salvation he shall rejoice exceedingly.
2 তুমি তাঁর মনোবাসনা পূর্ণ করেছ, এবং তাঁর মুখের অনুরোধ অগ্রাহ্য করোনি।
Thou hast given him his heart’s desire: and hast not withholden from him the will of his lips.
3 তুমি প্রচুর আশীর্বাদ দিয়ে তাঁকে স্বাগত জানিয়েছ এবং তাঁর মাথায় সোনার মুকুট পরিয়েছ।
For thou hast prevented him with blessings of sweetness: thou hast set on his head a crown of precious stones.
4 তিনি তোমার কাছে জীবন ভিক্ষা করেছেন, আর তুমি তাঁকে তাই দিয়েছ, তাঁকে অনন্তকালস্থায়ী পরমায়ু দিয়েছ।
He asked life of thee: and thou hast given him length of days for ever and ever.
5 তোমার দেওয়া বিজয়ে তাঁর গৌরব বিপুল; তুমি তাঁকে মহিমা ও প্রতিপত্তিতে আবৃত করেছ।
His glory is great in thy salvation: glory and great beauty shalt thou lay upon him.
6 নিশ্চয় তুমি তাঁকে চিরস্থায়ী আশীর্বাদ দিয়েছ তোমার সান্নিধ্যের আনন্দ তাঁকে উল্লসিত করেছে।
For thou shalt give him to be a blessing for ever and ever: thou shalt make him joyful in gladness with thy countenance.
7 কারণ রাজা সদাপ্রভুতে আস্থা রাখেন; পরাৎপরের অবিচল প্রেমের গুণে তিনি বিচলিত হবেন না।
For the king hopeth in the Lord: and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
8 তোমার হাত তোমার সব শত্রুকে বন্দি করবে; তোমার ডান হাত তোমার সব বিপক্ষকে দখল করবে।
Let thy hand be found by all thy enemies: let thy right hand find out all them that hate thee.
9 যখন যুদ্ধে তোমার আবির্ভাব হবে, তুমি জ্বলন্ত অগ্নিকুণ্ডের মতো তাদের পুড়িয়ে দেবে। ক্রোধে সদাপ্রভু তাদের গ্রাস করবেন, আর তাঁর আগুন তাদের দগ্ধ করবে।
Thou shalt make them as an oven of fire, in the time of thy anger: the Lord shall trouble them in his wrath, and fire shall devour them.
10 তুমি তাদের বংশধরদের পৃথিবী থেকে ও মানবসমাজ থেকে তাদের উত্তরপুরুষদের ধ্বংস করবে।
Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth: and their seed from among the children of men.
11 যদিও তারা তোমার বিরুদ্ধে দুষ্ট চক্রান্ত করে, এবং মন্দ পরিকল্পনা করে, তারা কখনোই সফল হবে না।
For they have intended evils against thee: they have devised counsels which they have not been able to establish.
12 যখন তারা দেখবে যে তোমার ধনুক তাদের দিকে লক্ষ্য করে আছে তখন তারা পিছনে ফিরবে ও পালাবে।
For thou shalt make them turn their back: in thy remnants thou shalt prepare their face.
13 হে সদাপ্রভু, নিজের পরাক্রমে মহিমান্বিত হও; আমরা তোমার শক্তির জয়গান ও প্রশংসা করব।
Be thou exalted, O Lord, in thy own strength: we will sing and praise thy power.
