গীতসংহিতা 20

1 প্রধান সংগীত পরিচালকের জন্য। দাউদের গীত। সদাপ্রভু সংকটের দিনে তোমাকে উত্তর দেবেন; যাকোবের ঈশ্বরের নাম তোমাকে রক্ষা করবেন।

“For the leader of the music. A psalm of David.” May Jehovah hear thee in the day of trouble; May the name of the God of Jacob defend thee!

2 তিনি পবিত্রস্থান থেকে তোমাকে সাহায্য করবেন, আর সিয়োন থেকে তোমাকে শক্তি জোগাবেন।

May he send thee help from his sanctuary, And strengthen thee out of Zion!

3 তিনি তোমার সমস্ত বলি স্মরণে রাখবেন ও তোমার হোমবলি গ্রহণ করবেন।

May he have regard to all thine offerings, And accept thy burnt sacrifice! (Pause)

4 তিনি তোমার হৃদয়ের সমস্ত অভিলাষ পূর্ণ করবেন, এবং তোমার সকল পরিকল্পনা সার্থক করবেন।

May he grant thee thy heart's desire, And fulfill all thy purposes!

5 তোমার জয়ে আমরা আনন্দগান করব আর আমাদের ঈশ্বরের নামে আমরা বিজয় পতাকা উড়াব। সদাপ্রভু তোমার সমস্ত নিবেদন মঞ্জুর করুন।

We will rejoice in thy protection, And in the name of our God will we set up our banners, When Jehovah hath fulfilled all thy petitions.

6 এখন আমি জানি: যে, সদাপ্রভু তাঁর অভিষিক্ত ব্যক্তিকে বিজয় প্রদান করেন। তিনি নিজের ডান হাতের বিজয়ী শক্তিতে স্বর্গীয় পবিত্রস্থান থেকে তাকে উত্তর দেন।

Now I know that Jehovah helpeth his anointed; That he heareth him from his holy heaven, And aideth him with the saving strength of his right hand.

7 কেউ রথে এবং কেউ ঘোড়ায় আস্থা রাখে, কিন্তু আমরা আমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর নামে আস্থা রাখি।

Some glory in chariots, and some in horses, But we in the name of Jehovah our God.

8 তাদের নতজানু করা হবে ও পতন ঘটবে; কিন্তু আমরা উঠে দাঁড়াব ও দৃঢ়ভাবে দাঁড়াব।

They stumble and fall, But we stand and are erect.

9 হে সদাপ্রভু, রাজাকে বিজয় প্রদান করো! যখন আমরা সাহায্যের জন্য আর্তনাদ করি, আমাদের উত্তর দিয়ো!

The LORD save the king! May he hear us when we call!
