গীতসংহিতা 139
1 সংগীত পরিচালকের জন্য। দাউদের গীত। হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমি আমার অনুসন্ধান করেছ, আর তুমি আমাকে জানো।
To him that excelleth. A Psalme of David. O Lord, thou hast tried me and knowen me.
2 তুমি জানো আমি কখন বসি আর কখন উঠি; দূর থেকেও তুমি আমার মনের ভাবনা বুঝতে পারো।
Thou knowest my sitting and my rising: thou vnderstandest my thought afarre off.
3 তুমি জানো আমি কোথায় যাই আর আমি কোথায় শয়ন করি; আমার চলার সব পথ তোমার পরিচিত।
Thou compassest my pathes, and my lying downe, and art accustomed to all my wayes.
4 আমার জিভে কোনও কথা উচ্চারিত হবার আগেই তুমি, হে সদাপ্রভু, তা সম্পূর্ণভাবে জানো।
For there is not a word in my tongue, but loe, thou knowest it wholy, O Lord.
5 তুমি আমাকে সামনে ও পিছনে ঘিরে রেখেছ, এবং আমার উপর তোমার হাত রেখেছ।
Thou holdest mee straite behinde and before, and layest thine hand vpon me.
6 এই জ্ঞান আমার কাছে খুব আশ্চর্যজনক, এত উঁচু যে তা আমার বোধের অগম্য।
Thy knowledge is too wonderfull for mee: it is so high that I cannot attaine vnto it.
7 আমি তোমার আত্মাকে এড়িয়ে কোথায় যাব? আমি তোমার সামনে থেকে কোথায় পালাব?
Whither shall I goe from thy Spirite? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8 যদি আমি আকাশমণ্ডলে উঠে যাই, সেখানে তুমি আছ; যদি আমি পাতালে বিছানা পাতি, সেখানেও তুমি রয়েছ। (Sheol h7585)
If I ascende into heauen, thou art there: if I lye downe in hell, thou art there. (Sheol h7585)
9 যদি আমি প্রত্যুষের ডানায় ভর করে উড়ে যাই, যদি আমি সমুদ্রের সুদূর সীমায় বসতি স্থাপন করি,
Let mee take the winges of the morning, and dwell in the vttermost parts of the sea:
10 এমনকি সেখানেও তোমার হাত আমাকে পথ দেখাবে, তোমার ডান হাত আমাকে ধরে রাখবে।
Yet thither shall thine hand leade me, and thy right hand holde me.
11 যদি আমি বলি, “নিশ্চয় অন্ধকার আমাকে আচ্ছন্ন করবে আর আলো আমার চারিদিকে অন্ধকারে পরিণত হবে,”
If I say, Yet the darkenes shall hide me, euen the night shalbe light about me.
12 এমনকি, আঁধারও তোমার কাছে অন্ধকার নয়; রাত্রিও দিনের আলোর মতো উজ্জ্বল, কারণ অন্ধকার তোমার কাছে আলোর সমান।
Yea, the darkenes hideth not from thee: but the night shineth as the day: the darkenes and light are both alike.
13 কারণ তুমি আমার অন্তরের সত্তা নির্মাণ করেছ; এবং মাতৃগর্ভে তুমি আমার দেহকে বুনেছ,
For thou hast possessed my reines: thou hast couered me in my mothers wombe.
14 আমি তোমার স্তব করি, কারণ আমি ভয়াবহরূপে ও আশ্চর্যরূপে নির্মিত; তোমার সব কাজকর্ম বিস্ময়কর তা আমি যথার্থভাবে জানি।
I will praise thee, for I am fearefully and wonderously made: marueilous are thy workes, and my soule knoweth it well.
15 আমার পরিকাঠামো তোমার কাছে লুকানো ছিল না, যখন আমি গোপন স্থানে নির্মিত হয়েছিলাম, যখন পৃথিবীর অধঃস্থানে আমাকে একসাথে বোনা হয়েছিল।
My bones are not hid from thee, though I was made in a secret place, and facioned beneath in the earth.
16 তোমার চোখ আমার অগঠিত দেহটি দেখেছিল; আমার জীবনের নির্ধারিত দিনগুলি তোমার বইতে লেখা ছিল জীবনে একদিন অতিবাহিত হওয়ার আগেই।
Thine eyes did see me, when I was without forme: for in thy booke were all things written, which in continuance were facioned, when there was none of them before.
17 হে ঈশ্বর, তোমার ভাবনাগুলি আমার কাছে কত মূল্যবান! সেগুলির সমষ্টি কী বিপুল!
Howe deare therefore are thy thoughtes vnto me, O God! how great is ye summe of them!
18 যদি আমি সেগুলি গুনতে যেতাম, তবে সেগুলি বালুকণার চেয়েও সংখ্যায় বেশি হত, যখন আমি জেগে উঠি, তখনও তুমি আমার সঙ্গে আছ।
If I should count them, they are moe then the sand: when I wake, I am still with thee.
19 হে ঈশ্বর, যদি তুমি দুষ্টদের ধ্বংস করতে! আমার কাছ থেকে দূর হও, তোমরা যারা রক্তপিপাসু!
Oh that thou wouldest slay, O God, the wicked and bloody men, to whom I say, Depart ye from mee:
20 তোমার সম্বন্ধে তারা মন্দ উদ্দেশ্য নিয়ে কথা বলে, তোমার বিপক্ষরা তোমার নামের অপব্যবহার করে।
Which speake wickedly of thee, and being thine enemies are lifted vp in vaine.
21 হে সদাপ্রভু, আমি কি তাদের ঘৃণা করি না যারা তোমাকে ঘৃণা করে? এবং তাদের কি অবজ্ঞা করি না যারা তোমার বিপক্ষে বিদ্রোহ করে?
Doe not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and doe not I earnestly contend with those that rise vp against thee?
22 তাদের জন্য কেবল আমার ঘৃণাই রয়েছে; আমি তাদের আমার শত্রু বলেই গণ্য করি।
I hate them with an vnfained hatred, as they were mine vtter enemies.
23 হে ঈশ্বর, তুমি আমার অনুসন্ধান করো আর আমার হৃদয়ের কথা জানো; আমাকে পরীক্ষা করো আর জানো আমার উদ্বেগের ভাবনা।
Try mee, O God, and knowe mine heart: prooue me and know my thoughtes,
24 দেখো, আমার মধ্যে দুষ্টতার পথ পাওয়া যায় কি না, আর আমাকে অনন্ত জীবনের পথে চালাও।
And consider if there be any way of wickednes in me, and leade me in the way for euer.
