গীতসংহিতা 132
1 একটি আরোহণ সংগীত। হে সদাপ্রভু, দাউদকে আর তার সব আত্মত্যাগ মনে রেখো।
A Song of the going up. Lord, give thought to David, and to all his troubles;
2 তিনি সদাপ্রভুর কাছে এক শপথ করেছিলেন, তিনি যাকোবের পরাক্রমী ব্যক্তির কাছে মানত করেছিলেন:
How he made an oath to the Lord, and gave his word to the great God of Jacob, saying,
3 “আমি নিজের গৃহে প্রবেশ করব না অথবা নিজের বিছানায় শয়ন করব না,
Truly, I will not come into my house, or go to my bed,
4 আমি নিজের চোখে ঘুম আসতে দেব না অথবা চোখের পাতায় তন্দ্রা আসতে দেব না,
I will not give sleep to my eyes, or rest to my eyeballs,
5 যতদিন না পর্যন্ত আমি সদাপ্রভুর জন্য এক স্থান, যাকোবের পরাক্রমী ব্যক্তির জন্য এক আবাস খুঁজে পাই।”
Till I have got a place for the Lord, a resting-place for the great God of Jacob.
6 দেখো, আমরা ইফ্রাথায় তাঁর সংবাদ শুনেছিলাম জায়ারের ক্ষেতে তাঁর সন্ধান পেয়েছিলাম:
We had news of it at Ephrathah: we came to it in the fields of the wood.
7 “চলো, আমরা তাঁর আবাসে যাই, তাঁর পাদপীঠে এই বলে আমরা তাঁর আরাধনা করি,
Let us go into his tent; let us give worship at his feet.
8 ‘হে সদাপ্রভু, ওঠো, আর তোমার বিশ্রামস্থানে এসো, তুমি ও তোমার পরাক্রমের সিন্দুক।
Come back, O Lord, to your resting-place; you and the ark of your strength.
9 তোমার পুরোহিতবৃন্দ যেন তোমার ধার্মিকতায় বিভূষিত হয়, তোমার বিশ্বস্ত লোকেরা তোমার আনন্দগান করুক।’”
Let your priests be clothed with righteousness; and let your saints give cries of joy.
10 তোমার দাস দাউদের কারণে তোমার অভিষিক্ত ব্যক্তিকে পরিত্যাগ কোরো না।
Because of your servant David, do not give up your king.
11 সদাপ্রভু দাউদের কাছে এক শপথ, এক সুনিশ্চিত শপথ করেছিলেন, যা তিনি ভাঙবেন না: “তোমার বংশে জাত এক সন্তানকে আমি তোমার সিংহাসনে বসাব।
The Lord gave a true oath to David, which he will not take back, saying, I will give your kingdom to the fruit of your body.
12 যদি তোমার সন্তানেরা আমার নিয়ম এবং বিধিবিধান মান্য করে যা আমি তাদের শিক্ষা দিয়েছি, তবে তাদের সন্তানেরা চিরকাল ধরে তোমার সিংহাসনে বসবে।”
If your children keep my word, and the teachings which I will give them, their children will be rulers of your kingdom for ever.
13 সদাপ্রভু জেরুশালেমকে মনোনীত করেছেন, তিনি তাঁর নিবাসের জন্য তা এই বলে বাসনা করেছেন যে,
For the Lord's heart is on Zion, desiring it for his resting-place.
14 “এই আমার চিরকালের বিশ্রামস্থান; আমি এই স্থানেই অধিষ্ঠিত রইব, কারণ আমি এই বাসনা করেছি।
This is my rest for ever: here will I ever be; for this is my desire.
15 আমি এই স্থানকে আশীর্বাদ করব আর সমৃদ্ধশালী করব; তার দরিদ্রদের আমি খাবার দিয়ে পরিতৃপ্ত করব।
My blessing will be on her food; and her poor will be full of bread.
16 আমি তার যাজকদের পরিত্রাণ দিয়ে আবৃত করব, আর তার বিশ্বস্ত দাসেরা আনন্দগান গাইবে।
Her priests will be clothed with salvation; and her saints will give cries of joy.
17 “আমি এখানে দাউদের জন্য এক শিং উত্থাপন করব এবং আমার অভিষিক্ত ব্যক্তির জন্য একটি প্রদীপ জ্বেলে দেবো।
There I will make the horn of David fertile: I have made ready a light for my king.
18 আমি তাঁর শত্রুদের লজ্জায় আবৃত করব, কিন্তু তাঁর মাথা উজ্জ্বল মুকুটে সুশোভিত হবে।”
His haters will be clothed with shame; but I will make his crown shining.
