1 একটি আরোহণ সংগীত। দাউদের গীত। আমি আনন্দিত হলাম, যখন লোকে আমাকে বলল, “চলো, আমরা সদাপ্রভুর গৃহে যাই।”

“A psalm of the steps, or the goings up. By David.” I was glad when they said to me, Let us go up to the house of the LORD!

2 এখন, হে জেরুশালেম নগরী, তোমার প্রবেশদ্বারের ভিতরে আমরা দাঁড়িয়ে রয়েছি।

Our feet are standing Within thy gates, O Jerusalem!

3 জেরুশালেম সেই নগরীর মতো নির্মিত যা সংগঠিতরূপে তৈরি হয়েছে।

Jerusalem, the rebuilt city! The city that is joined together!

4 ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত গোষ্ঠীগুলি— সদাপ্রভুর লোকসকল—এখানে আরাধনা করতে আসে, ইস্রায়েলের বিধিনিয়ম অনুযায়ী তারা সদাপ্রভুর নামের ধন্যবাদ করতে আসে।

Thither the tribes go up, The tribes of the LORD, according to the law of Israel, To praise the name of the LORD.

5 এই স্থানেই স্থাপিত হয়েছে বিচারের সিংহাসন, এখানেই দাউদ কুলের সব সিংহাসন স্থাপিত।

There stand the thrones of judgment, The thrones of the house of David.

6 তোমরা জেরুশালেমের শান্তির জন্য প্রার্থনা করো, “যারা তোমাকে ভালোবাসে, তারা সুরক্ষিত থাকুক।

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! May they prosper who love thee!

7 তোমার প্রাচীরের মধ্যে শান্তি বিরাজ করুক, আর তোমার দুর্গগুলির মধ্যে সুরক্ষা থাকুক।”

Peace be within thy walls, And prosperity within thy palaces!

8 আমার পরিবার ও বন্ধুদের জন্য, আমি বলব “তোমার মধ্যে শান্তি বিরাজ করুক।”

For my brethren and companions' sake will I say, Peace be within thee!

9 সদাপ্রভু আমাদের ঈশ্বরের গৃহের কারণে হে জেরুশালেম, আমি তোমার সমৃদ্ধি কামনা করব।

For the sake of the house of the LORD, our God, Will I seek thy good!
