গীতসংহিতা 112

1 সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করো। ধন্য সেই ব্যক্তি, যে সদাপ্রভুকে সম্ভ্রম করে, যে তাঁর আজ্ঞা পালনে মহা আনন্দ পায়।

Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man, that feareth the Lord, and deliteth greatly in his commandements.

2 তাদের সন্তানসন্ততিরা এ জগতে শক্তিশালী হবে, ন্যায়পরায়ণদের প্রজন্ম ধন্য হবে।

His seede shall be mightie vpon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.

3 ধনসম্পদ ও ঐশ্বর্য তার গৃহে আছে, এবং তার ধার্মিকতা চিরস্থায়ী হয়।

Riches and treasures shalbe in his house, and his righteousnesse endureth for euer.

4 ন্যায়পরায়ণের জন্য অন্ধকারের মাঝে আলো উদয় হয়, সে কৃপাময়, স্নেহশীল ও ধার্মিক।

Vnto the righteous ariseth light in darkenes: he is merciful and full of copassion and righteous.

5 যে উদার ও মুক্তহস্তে দান করে, তার মঙ্গল হবে, সে নিজের বিষয়গুলি ন্যায়ের সঙ্গে নিষ্পত্তি করে।

A good man is mercifull and lendeth, and will measure his affaires by iudgement.

6 নিশ্চয় সে কখনও বিচলিত হবে না; কিন্তু ধার্মিককে চিরকাল মনে রাখা হবে।

Surely he shall neuer be moued: but the righteous shalbe had in euerlasting remembrance.

7 অশুভ সংবাদে সে ভয় করবে না; তার হৃদয় অবিচল, তা সদাপ্রভুতে আস্থা রাখে।

He will not be afraide of euill tidings: for his heart is fixed, and beleeueth in the Lord.

8 তার হৃদয় সুস্থির, সে ভয় করবে না; অবশেষে সে বিজয়ীর মতো তার শত্রুদের দিকে তাকাবে।

His heart is stablished: therefore he will not feare, vntill he see his desire vpon his enemies.

9 সে অবাধে দরিদ্রদের মাঝে দান বিতরণ করেছে, তার ধার্মিকতা চিরস্থায়ী; তার শিং গৌরবে উন্নত হবে।

He hath distributed and giuen to ye poore: his righteousnesse remaineth for euer: his horne shalbe exalted with glory.

10 দুষ্টলোক এসব দেখবে আর উত্ত্যক্ত হবে, সে ক্রোধে দন্তঘর্ষণ করবে আর নিঃশেষ হবে; দুষ্টদের আকাঙ্ক্ষা বিনষ্ট হবে।

The wicked shall see it and be angrie: he shall gnash with his teeth, and consume away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
