গীতসংহিতা 107
1 সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে ধন্যবাদ করো, কারণ তিনি মঙ্গলময়; তাঁর দয়া অনন্তকালস্থায়ী।
O give thanks to Yahweh—For he is good, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.
2 যারা সদাপ্রভু দ্বারা মুক্ত হয়েছে তারা একথা বলুক— যাদের তিনি শত্রুদের হাত থেকে মুক্ত করেছেন,
Let the redeemed of Yahweh say, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary;
3 পূর্ব ও পশ্চিম থেকে, উত্তর ও দক্ষিণ থেকে, যাদের তিনি অন্যান্য দেশ থেকে সংগ্রহ করেছেন।
And, out of the lands, hath gathered them—From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.
4 তারা বসবাস করার জন্য নগরের সন্ধান না পেয়ে মরুপ্রান্তরের নির্জন পথে ঘুরে বেড়ালো।
They wandered about in the desert—in a waste, Way to a city to dwell in, found they none;
5 তারা ক্ষুধিত আর তৃষ্ণার্ত হল, আর তাদের জীবন প্রায় শেষ হয়েছিল।
Hungry—yea thirsty, their soul, within them, fainted:
6 তখন তাদের কষ্টে তারা সদাপ্রভুর কাছে কেঁদে উঠল, এবং তিনি তাদের দুর্দশা থেকে উদ্ধার করলেন।
Then made they outcry to Yahweh, in their peril, Out of their distresses, he rescued them;
7 সোজা পথে তিনি তাদের এক নগরীর দিকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে গেলেন যেখানে তারা বসবাস করতে পারে।
And led them by a straight road, That they might journey to a city to dwell in.
8 তাঁর অবিচল প্রেম এবং মানুষের প্রতি তাঁর আশ্চর্য কাজকর্মের জন্য, তারা সদাপ্রভুকে ধন্যবাদ দিক।
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men;
9 কেননা তিনি তৃষ্ণার্তকে তৃপ্ত করেন এবং ক্ষুধার্তকে উত্তম দ্রব্য দিয়ে পূর্ণ করেন।
For he hath satisfied the longing soul, and, the famished soul, hath he filled with good.
10 লোকেরা অন্ধকারে আর মৃত্যুছায়ায় বসেছিল, দুর্দশার লোহার শিকলে বন্দি ছিল,
The dwellers in darkness and death-shade, bound with oppression and iron;
11 কারণ তারা ঈশ্বরের আদেশের বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্রোহ করেছিল আর পরাৎপরের পরিকল্পনা অবমাননা করেছিল।
Because they had rebelled against the sayings of GOD, —and, the counsel of the Most High, they had spurned;
12 তাই তিনি তাদের তিক্ত পরিশ্রমের অধীন করেছিলেন; তাদের পতন হল, আর তাদের সাহায্য করার কেউ ছিল না।
And he bowed down, with labour, their heart, They staggered, with no one to help,
13 তখন তাদের কষ্টে তারা সদাপ্রভুর কাছে কেঁদে উঠল, এবং তিনি তাদের দুর্দশা থেকে রক্ষা করলেন।
Then made they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, Out of their distresses, he saved them;
14 তিনি অন্ধকার ও মৃত্যুছায়া থেকে তাদের বের করলেন, এবং তাদের শিকল ভেঙে দিলেন।
He brought them forth out of darkness and death-shade, and, their fetters, he tare off.
15 তাঁর অবিচল প্রেম এবং মানুষের প্রতি তাঁর আশ্চর্য কাজকর্মের জন্য, তারা সদাপ্রভুকে ধন্যবাদ দিক,
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
16 কারণ তিনি পিতলের দরজা ভেঙে দেন এবং লোহার খিল দু-ভাগ করেন।
For he brake in pieces the doors of bronze, And, the bars of iron, he hewed asunder.
17 কেউ কেউ তাদের বিদ্রোহী ব্যবহারে মূর্খ হয়ে উঠল আর তাদের অপরাধের কারণে কষ্টভোগ করল।
The perverse, by reason of their transgression, and on account of their iniquities, are afflicted;
18 তারা খাদ্যদ্রব্য ঘৃণা করল আর মৃত্যুর দরজা পর্যন্ত পৌঁছাল।
All manner of food, their soul abhorreth, and so they draw near unto the gates of death,
19 তখন তাদের কষ্টে তারা সদাপ্রভুর কাছে কেঁদে উঠল, এবং তিনি তাদের দুর্দশা থেকে রক্ষা করলেন।
Then make they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, and, out of their distresses, he saveth them.
20 তিনি তাঁর বাক্য পাঠিয়ে তাদের সুস্থ করলেন; তিনি মৃত্যুর কবল থেকে তাদের উদ্ধার করলেন।
He sendeth his word, and healeth them, and delivereth them from their graves.
21 তাঁর অবিচল প্রেম এবং মানুষের প্রতি তাঁর আশ্চর্য কাজকর্মের জন্য, তারা সদাপ্রভুকে ধন্যবাদ দিক।
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
22 তারা ধন্যবাদের নৈবেদ্য উৎসর্গ করুক এবং আনন্দের গানে তাঁর ক্রিয়াকলাপ বলুক।
Yea let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and recount his works with a shout.
23 কেউ কেউ জাহাজে করে সমুদ্রযাত্রা করল; তারা মহা জলধিতে ব্যবসা করল।
Men who go down to the sea, in ships, doing business through mighty waters;
24 তারা সদাপ্রভুর কাজগুলি দেখল, গভীর জলরাশিতে তাঁর আশ্চর্য কাজগুলি দেখল।
They, see the works of Yahweh, and his wonders in the deep;
25 তিনি কথা বললেন আর প্রচণ্ড ঝড় উঠল যা ঢেউ জাগিয়ে তুলল।
And he speaketh, and there ariseth a tempestuous wind, which lifteth on high its rolling waves;
26 যা আকাশমণ্ডল পর্যন্ত উঠল আর অতল পর্যন্ত নেমে এল; বিপদে তাদের সাহস ক্ষয় হল।
They mount the heavens, they descend the roaring deeps, their soul, by trouble, dissolveth;
27 মাতালের মতো তারা ঘুরপাক খেলো আর টলতে থাকল; তাদের বুদ্ধি বিলুপ্ত হল।
They reel and stagger, like a drunken man, and, all their wisdom, is engulfed,
28 তখন তাদের কষ্টে তারা সদাপ্রভুর কাছে কেঁদে উঠল, এবং তিনি তাদের দুর্দশা থেকে রক্ষা করলেন।
Then make they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, and, out of their distresses, he bringeth them forth,
29 তাঁর আদেশে ঝড় শান্ত হল; সমুদ্রের ঢেউ নিস্তব্ধ হল।
He calmeth the storm to a whisper, and silent are their rolling waves:
30 যখন তা শান্ত হল তখন তারা আনন্দ করল, এবং তিনি তাদের আশ্রয়স্থল পর্যন্ত পথ দেখালেন।
Then are they glad, because they are hushed, And he guideth them unto their desired haven.
31 তাঁর অবিচল প্রেম এবং মানুষের প্রতি তাঁর আশ্চর্য কাজকর্মের জন্য, তারা সদাপ্রভুকে ধন্যবাদ দিক।
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
32 তারা লোকেদের সমাবেশে তাঁকে গৌরবান্বিত করুক এবং প্রবীণদের পরিষদে তাঁর প্রশংসা করুক।
Yea let them extol him in the convocation of the people, and, in the seated company of elders, let them praise him.
33 তিনি নদীকে মরুভূমিতে, প্রবাহমান নদীকে শুষ্ক-ভূমিতে পরিণত করেন,
He turneth Rivers into a desert, and, Springs of Water, into thirsty ground,
34 আর ফলবান দেশকে লবণ প্রান্তর করেন, সেখানকার নিবাসীদের দুষ্টতার কারণে।
A Land of Fruit, into a waste of salt, For the wickedness of them who dwell therein.
35 মরুভূমিকে তিনি জলাশয়ে আর শুকনো জমিকে জলপ্রবাহে পরিণত করেন;
He turneth A Desert, into a pool of water, and, A Parched Land into springs of water;
36 সেখানে তিনি ক্ষুধার্তদের বসবাস করার জন্য নিয়ে এলেন, এবং তারা এক নগর স্থাপন করল আর সেখানে তারা বসবাস করল।
And hath caused the famished to dwell there, And they have built them a city to dwell in;
37 তারা মাঠে বীজবপন করল আর দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেত্র রোপণ করল যা প্রচুর ফসল উৎপন্ন করল;
And have sown fields, and planted vineyards, and made them fruits of increase:
38 তিনি তাদের আশীর্বাদ করলেন আর তাদের সংখ্যা প্রচুর বৃদ্ধি পেল, আর তিনি তাদের পশুপাল কমতে দিলেন না।
Thus hath he blessed them, and they have multiplied greatly, And, their cattle, he maketh not few.
39 তারপর তাদের সংখ্যা হ্রাস পেল এবং নির্যাতন, বিপদ এবং দুঃখে তারা অবনত হল;
So have they become few and been brought low, By oppression, misfortune, and sorrow;
40 যিনি বিশিষ্টদের উপরে অবজ্ঞা ঢেলে দেন তিনি তাদের দিশাহীন প্রান্তরে ভ্রমণ করালেন।
He poureth contempt upon nobles, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste;
41 কিন্তু তিনি অভাবীদের কষ্ট থেকে বের করলেন আর তাদের পরিবারগুলিকে মেষপালের মতো বৃদ্ধি করলেন।
But he hath set the needy on high from affliction, and made families, like a flock: —
42 যারা ন্যায়পরায়ণ তারা দেখে আর আনন্দ করে, কিন্তু দুষ্টেরা সবাই তাদের মুখ বন্ধ করে।
The upright seeth and is glad, And, all perverseness, hath closed her mouth.
43 যে জ্ঞানী সে এই সবে মনোযোগ দিক আর সদাপ্রভুর প্রেমময় কাজ বিবেচনা করুক।
Who is wise? then let him observe these things! and diligently consider the lovingkindness of Yahweh.
