গীতসংহিতা 104
1 হে আমার প্রাণ, সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করো। হে আমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু, তুমি কত মহান; তুমি প্রভা আর পরাক্রমে ভূষিত।
My soule, prayse thou the Lord: O Lord my God, thou art exceeding great, thou art clothed with glorie and honour.
2 তিনি আলোর পোশাকে সজ্জিত; তিনি আকাশমণ্ডল তাঁবুর মতো প্রসারিত করেন
Which couereth himselfe with light as with a garment, and spreadeth the heauens like a curtaine.
3 আর তিনি জলধিতে তাঁর উচ্চকক্ষের কড়িকাঠ স্থাপন করেন। তিনি মেঘরাশিকে তাঁর রথ করেন আর বায়ুর ডানায় চড়ে ভেসে চলেন।
Which layeth the beames of his chambers in the waters, and maketh the cloudes his chariot, and walketh vpon the wings of the winde.
4 তিনি বায়ুপ্রবাহকে তাঁর দূত করেন, আগুনের শিখাকে নিজের দাস করেন।
Which maketh his spirits his messengers, and a flaming fire his ministers.
5 তিনি এই জগতকে ভিত্তিমূলের উপর স্থাপন করেন; তা কোনোদিন বিচলিত হবে না।
He set the earth vpon her foundations, so that it shall neuer moue.
6 আচ্ছাদনের মতো অতল জলধি দিয়ে তুমি এই জগৎ আবৃত করেছ; জলপ্রবাহ পর্বতগুলির উপর দাঁড়াল।
Thou coueredst it with the deepe as with a garment: the waters woulde stand aboue the mountaines.
7 কিন্তু তোমার তিরস্কারে জলধি পালিয়ে গেল, তোমার গর্জনের শব্দে তা দ্রুত প্রস্থান করল;
But at thy rebuke they flee: at the voyce of thy thunder they haste away.
8 জলধি পর্বতগুলির উপর দিয়ে প্রবাহিত হল, তা উপত্যকায় নেমে গেল, এবং তার নির্ধারিত স্থান পর্যন্ত পৌঁছাল।
And the mountaines ascend, and the valleis descend to the place which thou hast established for them.
9 তুমি জলধির সীমা স্থির করেছ যা তারা অতিক্রম করতে পারে না; আবার কখনও জলধি জগৎকে আচ্ছন্ন করবে না।
But thou hast set them a bounde, which they shall not passe: they shall not returne to couer the earth.
10 তুমি গিরিখাতে ঝরনাকে জল ঢালতে দিয়েছ; পর্বতগুলির মধ্য দিয়ে তা প্রবাহিত হয়।
He sendeth the springs into the valleis, which runne betweene the mountaines.
11 তারা মাঠের সব বন্যপশুকে জল দেয়; বুনো গাধারা নিজেদের তৃষ্ণা মেটায়।
They shall giue drinke to all the beasts of the fielde, and the wilde asses shall quench their thirst.
12 আকাশের পাখিরা জলপ্রবাহের ধারে বাসা বানায়; তারা ডালপালার মধ্যে গান করে।
By these springs shall the foules of the heauen dwell, and sing among the branches.
13 তাঁর উচ্চকক্ষ থেকে তিনি পর্বতগুলিকে জল দেন; তাঁর কাজের ফলাফলে দেশ তৃপ্ত হয়।
He watereth the mountaines from his chambers, and the earth is filled with the fruite of thy workes.
14 তিনি গবাদি পশুদের জন্য ঘাস, আর মানুষের চাষের জন্য চারাগাছ বৃদ্ধি করেন— জমি থেকে খাদ্যদ্রব্য উৎপন্ন করেন:
He causeth grasse to growe for the cattell, and herbe for the vse of man, that he may bring forth bread out of the earth,
15 সুরা যা মানুষের হৃদয়কে উৎফুল্ল করে, তেল যা তাদের মুখমণ্ডল উজ্জ্বল করে, এবং খাবার যা মানুষের জীবন বাঁচিয়ে রাখে।
And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oyle to make the face to shine, and bread that strengtheneth mans heart.
16 সদাপ্রভুর সব গাছপালা পর্যাপ্ত যত্নে আছে, লেবাননের দেবদারুবন যা তিনি লাগিয়েছিলেন।
The high trees are satisfied, euen the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted,
17 সেখানে পাখিরা তাদের বাসা বানিয়েছে; সারস পাখি চিরসবুজ গাছে বসবাস করছে।
That ye birdes may make their nestes there: the storke dwelleth in the firre trees.
18 উঁচু পর্বতগুলি বুনো ছাগলের; দুর্গম পাহাড় খরগোশের আশ্রয়।
The high mountaines are for the goates: the rockes are a refuge for the conies.
19 তিনি ঋতুর জন্য চাঁদ নির্মাণ করেছেন, আর সূর্য জানে কখন অস্ত যেতে হয়।
He appoynted the moone for certaine seasons: the sunne knoweth his going downe.
20 তুমি অন্ধকার নিয়ে আস, আর রাত্রি হয়, আর জঙ্গলের বন্যজন্তুরা গর্জন করে।
Thou makest darkenesse, and it is night, wherein all the beastes of the forest creepe forth.
21 সিংহরা তাদের শিকারের জন্য গর্জন করে আর ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে তাদের খাবার খোঁজে।
The lions roare after their praye, and seeke their meate at God.
22 সূর্য ওঠে, আর তারা লুকিয়ে পড়ে; তারা ফিরে আসে এবং নিজের গুহাতে শুয়ে পড়ে।
When the sunne riseth, they retire, and couche in their dennes.
23 তারপর মানুষ তাদের কাজের জন্য বাইরে যায় সেখানে সন্ধ্যা পর্যন্ত পরিশ্রমে রত থাকে।
Then goeth man forth to his worke, and to his labour vntill the euening.
24 হে সদাপ্রভু, তোমার কাজ কত বিচিত্র! প্রজ্ঞায় তুমি তাদের সব তৈরি করেছ; জগৎ তোমার জীবজন্তুতে পূর্ণ।
O Lord, howe manifolde are thy workes! in wisdome hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
25 ওই দেখো সুবিশাল, বিস্তীর্ণ জলধি, অগণিত কত প্রাণীতে পরিপূর্ণ— ছোটো ও বড়ো বহু জীব।
So is this sea great and wide: for therein are things creeping innumerable, both small beastes and great.
26 তার উপর দিয়ে জাহাজ যাতায়াত করে, আর সেখানে খেলার জন্য তুমি লিবিয়াথনদের সৃষ্টি করেছ।
There goe the shippes, yea, that Liuiathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.
27 উপযুক্ত সময়ে তাদের খাবার পাওয়ার জন্য সব জীবজন্তু তোমার দিকে চেয়ে থাকে।
All these waite vpon thee, that thou maiest giue them foode in due season.
28 যখন তুমি তাদের খাবার দাও তারা তা সংগ্রহ করে; যখন তুমি তোমার হাত খুলে দাও, তারা উত্তম দ্রব্যে পরিতৃপ্ত হয়।
Thou giuest it to them, and they gather it: thou openest thine hand, and they are filled with good things.
29 যখন তুমি তোমার মুখ ঢেকে দাও, তারা আতঙ্কিত হয়; যখন তুমি তাদের শ্বাস নিয়ে নাও, তাদের মৃত্যু হয় আর তারা ধুলোতে ফিরে যায়।
But if thou hide thy face, they are troubled: if thou take away their breath, they dye and returne to their dust.
30 যখন তুমি তোমার আত্মা পাঠাও, তারা সৃষ্ট হয়, আর তুমি জগতের মুখমণ্ডল নতুন করে তোলো।
Againe if thou send forth thy spirit, they are created, and thou renuest the face of the earth.
31 সদাপ্রভুর গৌরব চিরকাল স্থায়ী হোক; সদাপ্রভু তাঁর সৃষ্টির কাজে আনন্দিত হোন—
Glory be to the Lord for euer: let the Lord reioyce in his workes.
32 তাঁর দৃষ্টিতে জগৎ কেঁপে ওঠে, তাঁর স্পর্শে পর্বতগুলি থেকে ধোঁয়া বের হয়।
He looketh on the earth and it trembleth: he toucheth the mountaines, and they smoke.
33 আমার সারা জীবন আমি সদাপ্রভুর জয়গান করব; আমার শেষ নিঃশ্বাস পর্যন্ত আমি আমার ঈশ্বরের প্রশংসা করব।
I will sing vnto the Lord all my life: I will prayse my God, while I liue.
34 আমার ধ্যান তাঁর কাছে যেন সুমধুর হয়, কেননা আমি সদাপ্রভুতে উল্লাস করি।
Let my wordes be acceptable vnto him: I will reioyce in the Lord.
35 পাপীরা সবাই পৃথিবী থেকে বিলুপ্ত হোক আর দুষ্ট চিরকালের জন্য উধাও হোক। হে আমার প্রাণ, সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করো। সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করো।
Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and the wicked till there be no more: O my soule, prayse thou the Lord. Prayse ye the Lord.
