গীতসংহিতা 101

1 দাউদের গীত। আমি তোমার প্রেম ও ন্যায়পরায়ণতার সম্পর্কে গাইব; তোমার উদ্দেশে, হে সদাপ্রভু, আমি স্তবগান করব।

A Psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and justice; unto Thee, O LORD, will I sing praises.

2 সতর্ক হয়ে আমি নির্দোষ জীবন কাটাব— কখন তুমি আমার কাছে আসবে? আমি নিজের গৃহে সততার সঙ্গে জীবন কাটাব।

I will give heed unto the way of integrity; Oh when wilt Thou come unto me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart.

3 যা কিছু জঘন্য ও কুরুচিপূর্ণ তা দেখতে আমি অস্বীকার করব। আমি ভ্রষ্টাচারীদের কাজকর্ম ঘৃণা করি; তাদের সঙ্গে আমি কোনও সম্বন্ধ রাখব না।

I will set no base thing before mine eyes; I hate the doing of things crooked; it shall not cleave unto me.

4 যে হৃদয়ে বিকৃত সে আমার কাছ থেকে দূরে থাকবে; আমি সব ধরনের মন্দ থেকে দূরে সরে থাকব।

A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil thing.

5 যে কেউ গোপনে প্রতিবেশীর অপবাদ করে, আমি তাকে উচ্ছেদ করব; যার দৃষ্টি উদ্ধত ও হৃদয় অহংকারী, আমি তাকে সহ্য করব না।

Whoso slandereth his neighbour in secret, him will I destroy; whoso is haughty of eye and proud of heart, him will I not suffer.

6 দেশের বিশ্বস্তদের প্রতি আমার দৃষ্টি থাকবে, যেন তারা আমার সঙ্গে বসবাস করতে পারে; যে সিদ্ধ পথে চলে সে আমার পরিচর্যা করবে।

Mine eyes are upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he that walketh in a way of integrity, he shall minister unto me.

7 যারা প্রতারক তারা কেউ আমার গৃহে বসবাস করবে না; যারা মিথ্যা কথা বলে তারা আমার সামনে দাঁড়াবে না।

He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house; he that speaketh falsehood shall not be established before mine eyes.

8 প্রতি সকালে, দেশের সব দুষ্টকে আমি নাশ করব; সদাপ্রভুর নগর থেকে আমি সব অনিষ্টকারীকে উচ্ছেদ করব।

Morning by morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land; to cut off all the workers of iniquity from the city of the LORD.
