হিতোপদেশ 6
1 হে আমার বাছা, তুমি যদি তোমার প্রতিবেশীর জামিনদার হয়েছ, যদি অপরিচিত কোনও লোকের ঋণ শোধ করার দায়িত্ব নিয়েছ,
O son my if you have stood surety for fellow-citizen your you have struck for the stranger palms your.
2 তবে তুমি তোমার বলা কথার জালেই ধরা পড়েছ, তোমার মুখের কথাই তোমাকে ফাঁদে ফেলেছে।
You have been ensnared by [the] words of mouth your you have been caught by [the] words of mouth your.
3 তাই হে আমার বাছা, নিজেকে মুক্ত করার জন্য তুমি এরকম করো, যেহেতু তুমি তোমার প্রতিবেশীর হাতে গিয়ে পড়েছ: যাও—অবসন্ন হয়ে না পড়া পর্যন্ত— ও তোমার প্রতিবেশীকে বিশ্রাম নিতে দিয়ো না!
Do this then - O son my and deliver yourself for you have come in [the] palm of neighbor your go humble yourself and importune neighbor your.
4 তোমার চোখে ঘুম নেমে আসতে দিয়ো না, তোমার চোখের পাতাকে তন্দ্রাচ্ছন্ন হতে দিয়ো না।
May not you give sleep to eyes your and slumber to eyelids your.
5 শিকারির হাত থেকে মুক্তি পাওয়া গজলা হরিণের মতো, পাখি-শিকারির ফাঁদ থেকে মুক্ত পাখির মতো তুমি নিজেকে মুক্ত করো।
Deliver yourself like a gazelle from a hand and like a bird from [the] hand of a fowler.
6 হে অলস, তুমি পিঁপড়েদের কাছে যাও; তাদের চালচলন বিবেচনা করো ও জ্ঞানবান হও!
Go to an ant O sluggard consider ways its and become wise.
7 তাদের কোনও সেনাপতি নেই, কোনও তত্ত্বাবধায়ক বা শাসনকর্তাও নেই,
Which not [belongs] to it [is] commander of icer and ruler.
8 তবুও তারা গ্রীষ্মকালে রসদ মজুত করে রাখে, ও ফসল কাটার মরশুমে খাদ্য সংগ্রহ করে রাখে।
It prepares in the summer food its it gathers at the harvest food its.
9 হে অলস, আর কতক্ষণ তুমি সেখানে শুয়ে থাকবে? কখন তুমি ঘুম থেকে উঠবে?
Until when? O sluggard - will you lie down when? will you rise from sleep your.
10 আর একটু ঘুম, আর একটু তন্দ্রা, হাত পা গুটিয়ে আরও কিছুক্ষণ বিশ্রাম নেওয়া—
A little of sleep a little of slumber a little of - folding of hands to rest.
11 ও দারিদ্র এক চোরের মতো ও অভাব এক সশস্ত্র সৈনিকের মতো তোমার উপরে এসে পড়বে।
And it will come like a traveler poverty your and lack your like a man of shield.
12 এক উত্তেজনা সৃষ্টিকারী ব্যক্তি ও এক দুর্জন, যারা অশুদ্ধ ভাষা মুখে নিয়ে ঘুরে বেড়ায়,
A person of worthlessness a person of wickedness [is] walking crookedness of mouth.
13 যারা তাদের চোখ দিয়ে বিদ্বেষপূর্ণভাবে ইশারা করে, পা দিয়ে সংকেত দেয় ও আঙুল দিয়ে ইশারা করে,
[he is] winking (With eyes his *Q(K)*) [he is] scraping (with feet his *Q(K)*) [he is] pointing with fingers his.
14 যারা হৃদয়ে প্রতারণা পুষে রেখে কুচক্রান্ত করে— তারা সর্বক্ষণ মতবিরোধ উৎপন্ন করে।
Perverse things - [are] in heart his [he is] devising evil at every time (contentions *Q(K)*) he sends out.
15 তাই এক পলকেই তাদের জীবনে বিপর্যয় নেমে আসবে; আচমকাই তারা ধ্বংস হয়ে যাবে—এর কোনও বিহিত হবে না।
There-fore suddenly it will come disaster his an instant he will be broken and there not [will be] healing.
16 ছটি জিনিস সদাপ্রভু ঘৃণা করেন, সাতটি জিনিস তাঁর কাছে ঘৃণিত;
Six [things] those he hates Yahweh and [are] seven ([the] disgusting thing of *Q(K)*) self his.
17 উদ্ধত দৃষ্টি, মিথ্যাবাদী জিভ, নির্দোষের রক্তপাতকারী হাত,
Eyes haughty a tongue of falsehood and hands [which] shed blood innocent.
18 দুষ্ট ফন্দি আঁটা হৃদয়, অনিষ্টের দিকে বেগে ধাবমান পা,
A heart [which] devises plans of wickedness feet [which] hurry to run to evil.
19 মিথ্যা কথা উগরে দেওয়া মিথ্যাসাক্ষী ও এমন এক লোক যে সমাজে মতবিরোধ উৎপন্ন করে।
[who] he breathes out Lies a witness of falsehood and [one who] spreads contentions between brothers.
20 হে আমার বাছা, তোমার বাবার আদেশ পালন করো ও তোমার মায়ের শিক্ষা পরিত্যাগ কোরো না।
Keep O son my [the] commandment of father your and may not you forsake [the] instruction of mother your.
21 সেগুলি সর্বক্ষণ তোমার হৃদয়ে গেঁথে রেখো; তোমার গলার চারপাশে বেঁধে রেখো।
Bind them on heart your continually tie them on necks your.
22 তুমি যখন চলাফেরা করবে, তখন সেগুলি তোমাকে পথ দেখাবে; তুমি যখন ঘুমাবে, তখন সেগুলি তোমাকে পাহারা দেবে; তুমি যখন জেগে উঠবে, তখন সেগুলি তোমার সাথে কথা বলবে।
When walking about you - it will guide you when lying down you it will watch over you and you will awake it it will speak to you.
23 কারণ এই আদেশটি এক প্রদীপ, এই শিক্ষাটি এক আলো, এবং সংশোধন ও উপদেশ— এগুলি হল জীবনের পথ,
For [is] a lamp [the] commandment and [the] instruction [is] a light and [are] a way of life rebukes of discipline.
24 যা তোমাকে প্রতিবেশীর স্ত্রী থেকে, স্বৈরিণী স্ত্রীর স্নিগ্ধ কথাবার্তা থেকে দূরে সরিয়ে রাখবে।
To keep you from a woman of evil from smoothness of tongue a foreign [woman].
25 তার সৌন্দর্য দেখে তুমি অন্তরে কামভাব জাগিয়ে তুলো না বা সে যেন তার চোখের মায়ায় তোমাকে বন্দি না করে ফেলে।
May not you desire beauty her in heart your and may not she capture you with eyelids her.
26 কারণ এক টুকরো রুটির বিনিময়ে বেশ্যাকে পাওয়া যায়, কিন্তু পরস্ত্রী তোমার প্রাণটিই শিকার করে বসবে।
For [the] price a woman a prostitute to a round loaf of bread and [the] wife of a man a life precious she hunts.
27 একজন মানুষ কোলে আগুন রাখবে আর তার পোশাক পুড়বে না, এও কি সম্ভব?
¿ Will he snatch up a man fire in bosom his and garments his not will they be burned?
28 একজন মানুষ জ্বলন্ত কয়লার উপর দিয়ে হাঁটবে আর তার পা ঝলসাবে না, এও কি সম্ভব?
Or? will he walk? a man on burning coals and feet his not will they be scorched.
29 যে পরস্ত্রীর সাথে শোয় তার দশাও এরকমই হয়; যে সেই স্ত্রীকে স্পর্শ করে তাকে শাস্তি না দিয়ে ছেড়ে দেওয়া হয় না।
[is] thus The [one who] goes into [the] wife of neighbor his not he will go unpunished every [one who] touches her.
30 যে চোর খিদের জ্বালায় ভুগে খিদে মেটানোর জন্য চুরি করে তাকে লোকেরা ঘৃণা করে না।
Not people despise the thief if he will steal to fill appetite his for he will be hungry.
31 অথচ সে যদি ধরা পড়ে, তাকেও সাতগুণ ফিরিয়ে দিতে হবে, এর জন্য যদিও বা তার বাড়ির সব ধনসম্পদ হারাতে হয়, তাও তাকে তা দিতেই হবে।
And he will be found out he will make restitution sevenfold all [the] wealth of house his he will give.
32 কিন্তু যে ব্যভিচার করে তার কোনও বোধবুদ্ধি নেই; যে কেউ এরকম করে সে নিজেকেই ধ্বংস করে ফেলে।
[one who] commits adultery A woman [is] lacking of heart [one who] destroys own self his he he will do it.
33 আঘাত ও অপমানই তার প্রাপ্য, ও তার লজ্জা কখনোই ঘুচবে না।
A wound and shame he will find and reproach his not it will be wiped away.
34 কারণ ঈর্ষা একজন স্বামীর ক্ষিপ্ততা জাগিয়ে তোলে, ও প্রতিশোধ নেওয়ার সময় সে কোনও দয়া দেখাবে না।
For jealousy [is the] rage of a man and not he will have compassion on a day of vengeance.
35 সে কোনও ক্ষতিপূরণ গ্রহণ করবে না; সে ঘুস প্রত্যাখ্যান করবে, পরিমাণে তা যতই বেশি হোক না কেন।
Not he will lift up [the] face of any ransom and not he will be willing for you will make great a bribe.
