হিতোপদেশ 13
1 জ্ঞানবান ছেলে বাবার নির্দেশ মানে, কিন্তু বিদ্রুপকারী ভর্ৎসনায় কান দেয় না।
A son wise [the] discipline of a father and a mocker not he listens to a rebuke.
2 মানুষ তাদের মুখের ফল দ্বারাই মঙ্গল উপভোগ করে, কিন্তু বিশ্বাসঘাতক হিংস্রতার প্রবৃত্তি রাখে।
From [the] fruit of [the] mouth of a person he eats good thing[s] and [the] appetite of treacherous [people] [is] violence.
3 যারা ঠোঁট নিয়ন্ত্রণে রাখে তারা তাদের প্রাণরক্ষা করে, কিন্তু যারা বেপরোয়াভাবে কথাবার্তা বলে তাদের সর্বনাশ হয়।
[one who] guards Mouth his [is] protecting life his [one who] opens lips his ruin [belongs] to him.
4 অলসের খিদে কখনও মেটে না, কিন্তু পরিশ্রমীদের বাসনাগুলি পুরোপুরি চরিতার্থ হয়।
[is] coveting And nothing appetite his a sluggard and [the] appetite of diligent [people] it will be made fat.
5 ধার্মিকেরা মিথ্যাচারিতা ঘৃণা করে, কিন্তু দুষ্টেরা নিজেদের এক দুর্গন্ধে পরিণত করে ও নিজেদের উপরে লজ্জা ডেকে আনে।
A word of falsehood he hates a righteous [person] and a wicked [person] he acts odiously and he may act shamefully.
6 ধার্মিকতা ন্যায়পরায়ণ মানুষদের রক্ষা করে, কিন্তু দুষ্টতা পাপীদের উৎখাত করে।
Righteousness it preserves integrity of way and wickedness it subverts sin.
7 কেউ ধনী হওয়ার ভান করে, অথচ তার কাছে কিছুই নেই; অন্যজন দরিদ্র হওয়ার ভান করে, অথচ তার কাছে মহাধন আছে।
There [is one who] enriches himself and there not [is] anything [one who] impoverishes himself and wealth great.
8 মানুষের ধন হয়তো তাদের প্রাণের প্রায়শ্চিত্ত করতে পারে, কিন্তু দরিদ্রকে ভয় দেখানো যায় না।
[the] ransom of [the] life of A person [is] wealth his and a poor [person] not he hears a threat.
9 ধার্মিকদের আলো উজ্জ্বলভাবে জ্বলজ্বল করে, কিন্তু দুষ্টদের প্রদীপ নিভে যায়।
[the] light of Righteous [people] it rejoices and [the] lamp of wicked [people] it is extinguished.
10 যেখানে বিবাদ থাকে, সেখানে অহংকারও থাকে, কিন্তু যারা পরামর্শ নেয় তাদের অন্তরে প্রজ্ঞা পাওয়া যায়।
Only with pride it gives contention and [is] with [those who] receive advice wisdom.
11 অসাধু উপায়ে অর্জিত অর্থ কমে যায়, কিন্তু যে অল্প অল্প করে অর্থ সংগ্রহ করে, তার অর্থ বাড়তে থাকে।
Wealth from vanity it will become small and [one who] gathers on hand he will increase.
12 বিলম্বিত আশা হৃদয়কে অসুস্থ করে তোলে, কিন্তু পূর্ণ আকাঙ্ক্ষা এক জীবনবৃক্ষ।
Hope deferred [is] making sick [the] heart and [is] a tree of life a desire [which] comes.
13 যে নির্দেশ অবজ্ঞা করে তাকে এর মূল্য চোকাতে হয়, কিন্তু যে আজ্ঞাকে সম্মান করে সে পুরস্কৃত হয়।
[one who] despises A word he will be pledged to it and [one] fearing a commandment he he will be rewarded.
14 জ্ঞানবানের শিক্ষা জীবনের উৎস, তা মানুষকে মৃত্যুর ফাঁদ থেকে ফিরিয়ে আনে।
[the] instruction of A wise [person] [is] a fountain of life to turn aside from [the] snares of death.
15 সুবিবেচনা অনুগ্রহজনক হয়, কিন্তু বিশ্বাসঘাতকদের পথ তাদের বিনাশের দিকে নিয়ে যায়।
Insight good it gives favor and [the] way of treacherous [people] [is] enduring.
16 যারা বিচক্ষণ তারা সবাই জ্ঞানপূর্বক কাজ করে, কিন্তু মূর্খেরা তাদের মূর্খতাই প্রকাশ করে ফেলে।
Every sensible [person] he acts with knowledge and a fool he spreads out foolishness.
17 দুষ্ট দূত অসুবিধায় পড়ে, কিন্তু বিশ্বস্ত দূত আরোগ্য দান করে।
A messenger wicked he falls in trouble and an envoy of faithfulness [is] healing.
18 যে শাসন উপেক্ষা করে তাকে দারিদ্র ও লজ্জা ভোগ করতে হয়, কিন্তু যে সংশোধনে মনোযোগ দেয় সে সম্মানিত হয়।
Poverty and shame [one who] ignores discipline and [one who] keeps correction he is honored.
19 পূর্ণ আকাঙ্ক্ষা প্রাণের পক্ষে তৃপ্তিদায়ক, কিন্তু মূর্খেরা মন্দ পথ থেকে ফিরতে চায় না।
A desire done (is pleasing *LAH(b)*) to a person and [is] an abomination of fools to turn aside from evil.
20 জ্ঞানবানদের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে চলো ও জ্ঞানবান হও, কারণ মূর্খদের সহচর ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়।
([one who] walks *Q(K)*) With wise [people] (he will become wise *Q(K)*) and [one who] associates with fools he will be harmed.
21 বিপত্তি পাপীর পশ্চাদ্ধাবন করে, কিন্তু ধার্মিককে মঙ্গল দিয়ে পুরস্কৃত করা হয়।
Sinners it pursues calamity and righteous [people] it rewards good.
22 সৎলোক তাদের নাতি-নাতনিদের জন্য উত্তরাধিকার ছেড়ে যায়, কিন্তু পাপীর ধন ধার্মিকদের জন্য মজুত হয়।
A good [person] he leaves an inheritance to children of children and [is] stored up for the righteous [the] wealth of a sinner.
23 অকর্ষিত জমি দরিদ্রদের জন্য খাদ্য উৎপাদন করে, কিন্তু অবিচার তা নিশ্চিহ্ন করে দেয়।
Abundance of food [the] unplowed ground of poor [people] and there [is what] is swept away in not justice.
24 যারা লাঠির ব্যবহার করে না, তারা তাদের সন্তানদের ঘৃণা করে, কিন্তু যারা তাদের সন্তানদের ভালোবাসে, তারা সযত্নে তাদের শাসনও করে।
[one who] restrains Rod his [is] hating son his and [one who] loves him he seeks early him discipline.
25 ধার্মিকেরা তাদের প্রাণের তৃপ্তি পর্যন্ত খাবার খায়, কিন্তু দুষ্টেরা ক্ষুধার্ত পেটেই থেকে যায়।
A righteous [person] [is] eating to [the] satiety of appetite his and [the] belly of wicked [people] it is lacking.
