1 পরিশেষে আমার ভাইবোনেরা, প্রভুতে আনন্দ করো। তোমাদের কাছে একই বিষয়ে বারবার লিখতে আমি বিরক্তি বোধ করি না এবং তা তোমাদের পক্ষে নিরাপদও বটে।
As to the rest, my brothers, rejoice in the LORD; indeed, [it] is not tiresome to me to write to you the same things, and for you [is] sure.
2 যারা দুষ্কর্ম করে, যারা অঙ্গচ্ছেদ ঘটায়, সেইসব কুকুর থেকে সাবধান থেকো। তাদের সম্বন্ধে সতর্ক হও।
Look out for the dogs! Look out for the evil-workers! Look out for the mutilation!
3 কারণ আমরা যারা ঈশ্বরের আত্মায় উপাসনা করি, যারা খ্রীষ্ট যীশুতে গৌরববোধ করি, শরীরের বিষয়ে যাদের কোনো আস্থা নেই, সেই আমরাই তো প্রকৃত সুন্নতপ্রাপ্ত—
For we are the circumcision, who are serving God by the Spirit, and glorying in Christ Jesus, and having no trust in flesh,
4 যদিও এরকম আস্থাশীল হওয়ার যথেষ্ট কারণ আমার নিজের উপরে আছে। অন্য কেউ যদি মনে করে যে, শারীরিক সংস্কারের ব্যাপারে সে নির্ভর করতে পারে, আমার আরও অনেক বিষয়ে নির্ভর করার আছে:
though I also have [cause of] trust in flesh. If any other one thinks to have trust in flesh, I more:
5 অষ্টম দিনে আমার সুন্নত হয়েছে, জাতিতে আমি ইস্রায়েলী, বিন্যামীন গোষ্ঠীভুক্ত, হিব্রু বংশজাত একজন হিব্রু, বিধানসংক্রান্ত বিষয়ে একজন ফরিশী;
circumcision on the eighth day! Of the race of Israel! Of the tribe of Benjamin! A Hebrew of Hebrews! According to law—a Pharisee!
6 উদ্যমের ব্যাপারে আমি মণ্ডলীর নির্যাতনকারী এবং বিধানগত ধার্মিকতায় আমি ছিলাম নির্দোষ।
According to zeal—persecuting the Assembly! According to righteousness that is in law—becoming blameless!
7 কিন্তু, যা ছিল আমার কাছে লাভজনক, খ্রীষ্টের জন্য আজ সেই সবকিছুকে আমি লোকসান বলে মনে করছি।
But what things were gains to me, these I have counted loss, because of the Christ;
8 তার চেয়েও বেশি, আমার প্রভু, খ্রীষ্ট যীশুকে জানার বহুগুণে শ্রেষ্ঠতর মহত্ত্বের তুলনায়, বাকি সবকিছুকে আমি লোকসান মনে করি, যাঁর জন্য আমি সবকিছু হারিয়েছি। খ্রীষ্টকে লাভ করার প্রচেষ্টায় আমি সে সমস্তকে আবর্জনাতুল্য মনে করি এবং
yes, indeed, and I count all things to be loss, because of the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, because of whom I suffered loss of all things, and count them to be refuse, that I may gain Christ, and be found in Him,
9 তাঁরই মধ্যে যেন আমাকে খুঁজে পাওয়া যায়। যে ধার্মিকতা বিধান থেকে পাওয়া যায় তা আজ আর আমার মধ্যে নেই; কিন্তু সেই ধার্মিকতা আছে যা খ্রীষ্টে বিশ্বাসের মাধ্যমে প্রাপ্য—যে ধার্মিকতা ঈশ্বর থেকে বিশ্বাসের মাধ্যমে আসে।
not having my righteousness, which [is] of law, but that which [is] through faith from Christ—the righteousness that is of God by faith,
10 আমি খ্রীষ্টকে এবং তাঁর পুনরুত্থানের পরাক্রমকে জানতে চাই; তাঁর কষ্টভোগের সহভাগীও হতে চাই; এভাবেই তাঁর মৃত্যুতে যেন তাঁরই মতো হই।
to know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
11 আর তাই, যেভাবেই হোক, যেন আমি মৃত্যু থেকে পুনরুত্থানের অভিজ্ঞতা লাভ করতে পারি।
if anyhow I may attain to the resurrection of the dead.
12 আমি যে ইতিমধ্যেই এসব পেয়েছি, বা সিদ্ধিলাভ করেছি, তা নয়, কিন্তু যে জন্য খ্রীষ্ট যীশুর দ্বারা আমি ধৃত হয়েছি, আমিও তা ধারণ করার জন্য প্রাণপণ ছুটে চলেছি।
Not that I already obtained, or have already been perfected, but I pursue, if I also may lay hold of that for which I was also laid hold of by Christ Jesus;
13 ভাইবোনেরা, আমি নিজে যে ধরে ফেলেছি, এমন কথা বলতে পারি না, কিন্তু একটি কাজ আমি করি: পিছনের সমস্ত কিছু ভুলে গিয়ে সামনে যা আছে, তারই দিকে আমি প্রাণপণ প্রয়াসে,
brothers, I do not reckon myself to have laid hold [of it], but one thing [I do]—indeed forgetting the things behind, and stretching forth to the things before—
14 লক্ষ্যের অভিমুখে দৌড়াই, যেন ঈশ্বর খ্রীষ্ট যীশুতে স্বর্গীয় যে আহ্বান দিয়েছেন, সেই পুরস্কার লাভ করতে পারি।
I pursue to the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 আমাদের মধ্যে যারা পরিপক্ব, তাদের সকলের দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি যেন এরকমই হয়। যদি কোনো ক্ষেত্রে তোমরা ভিন্নমত পোষণ করো, ঈশ্বর সে বিষয়ও তোমাদের কাছে সুস্পষ্ট করে তুলবেন।
As many, therefore, as [are] perfect—let us think this, and if [in] anything you think otherwise, this also will God reveal to you,
16 আমরা যা পেয়েছি, কেবলমাত্র সেই অনুযায়ী যেন জীবনযাপন করি।
but to what we have attained—walk by the same rule, think the same thing;
17 ভাইবোনেরা, তোমরা সবাই মিলে আমার আদর্শ অনুসরণ করো। যে আদর্শ আমরা স্থাপন করেছি, সেই অনুযায়ী যারা জীবনযাপন করে, তাদের লক্ষ্য করো।
together become my followers, brothers, and observe those thus walking, according as you have us—a pattern;
18 কারণ, আমি আগেই যেমন বারবার তোমাদের বলেছি, আর এখন আবার চোখের জলে বলছি, অনেকেই এমন জীবনযাপন করে, যেন তারা খ্রীষ্টের ক্রুশের শত্রু।
for many walk of whom I told you [about] many times—and now also weeping tell—[they are] the enemies of the Cross of the Christ,
19 ধ্বংসই তাদের শেষগতি, পেটপূজাই তাদের দেবতা, নিজ লজ্জাতেই তাদের গৌরব। জাগতিক বিষয়ই তারা ভাবে।
whose end [is] destruction, whose god [is] the belly, and whose glory [is] in their shame, who are minding the things on earth.
20 কিন্তু আমরা স্বর্গের নাগরিক। আমরা আগ্রহ সহকারে সেখান থেকে এক পরিত্রাতার প্রতীক্ষা করছি—অর্থাৎ, প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের, যিনি তাঁর যে ক্ষমতাবলে সবকিছু নিয়ন্ত্রণে রাখতে সমর্থ,
For our citizenship is in the heavens, from where we also await a Savior—the Lord Jesus Christ—
21 তারই দ্বারা আমাদের দীনতার দেহকে রূপান্তরিত করে, তাঁর গৌরবজ্জ্বল দেহের মতো করবেন।
who will transform the body of our humiliation to its becoming conformed to the body of His glory, according to the working of His power, even to subject all things to Himself.
