1 সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে বললেন,
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
2 “তুমি হারোণের সঙ্গে আলাপ করে তাকে বলো, ‘তুমি যখন সপ্ত-প্রদীপ প্রতিষ্ঠা করবে, তখন সেগুলি যেন দীপাধারের সামনের দিকে আলো দেয়।’”
“Speak to Aaron [Light-bringer], and tell him, ‘When you light the menorah ·lamp· candles, the seven menorah ·lamp· candles shall give light in front of the menorah ·lamp·.’”
3 হারোণ সেইমতো করলেন; তিনি প্রদীপগুলি স্থাপন করে, সেগুলির মুখ দীপাধারের সামনের দিকে রাখলেন, যে রকম সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে আদেশ দিয়েছিলেন।
Aaron [Light-bringer] did so. He lit its menorah ·lamp· candles to light the area in front of the menorah ·lamp·, as Adonai enjoined Moses [Drawn out].
4 দীপাধার এইভাবে নির্মিত হয়েছিল; এর নিচ থেকে ফুল পর্যন্ত, সমস্ত অংশই সোনা পিটিয়ে তৈরি করা হয়েছিল। সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে যেমন নমুনা দেখিয়েছিলেন, দীপাধার ঠিক সেইরকম নির্মিত হয়েছিল।
This was the workmanship of the menorah ·lamp·, beaten work of gold. From its base to its flowers, it was beaten work: according to the pattern which Adonai had shown Moses [Drawn out], so he made the menorah ·lamp·.
5 সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে বললেন,
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
6 “অন্য ইস্রায়েলীদের মধ্য থেকে লেবীয়দের নিয়ে, তাদের আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে শুদ্ধ করো।
“Take the Levites [Descendants of United with] from among the children of Israel [God prevails], and cleanse them.
7 তাদের শুদ্ধকরণের জন্য এই কাজ করো, তাদের উপর শুদ্ধকরণের জল সেচন করো; তারা সমস্ত শরীরের লোম ক্ষৌরি করে, জলে তাদের পোশাক ধুয়ে ফেলুক ও এইভাবে নিজেদের শুচি করুক।
You shall do this to them, to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of habitual sin ·missing the mark· cleansing on them, let them shave their whole bodies with a razor, and let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves.
8 শস্য-নৈবেদ্যস্বরূপ জলপাই তেলমিশ্রিত মিহি ময়দা সমেত তারা একটি এঁড়ে বাছুর নেবে; তারপর পাপার্থক বলির জন্য তুমি দ্বিতীয় একটি এঁড়ে বাছুর নেবে।
Then let them take a young bull, and its meal offering, fine flour mixed with oil; and another young bull you shall take for a habitual sin ·miss the mark· offering.
9 লেবীয়দের সমাগম তাঁবুর সামনের দিকে আনবে এবং সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলী সমাজকে একত্র করবে।
You shall present the Levites [Descendants of United with] before the Tent of Meeting. You shall assemble the whole congregation of the children of Israel [God prevails].
10 তুমি লেবীয়দের সদাপ্রভুর সামনে নিয়ে আসবে এবং ইস্রায়েলীরা তাদের উপরে হাত রাখবে।
You shall present the Levites [Descendants of United with] before Adonai. The children of Israel [God prevails] shall lay their hands on the Levites [Descendants of United with],
11 হারোণ ইস্রায়েলীদের দোলনীয়-নৈবেদ্যরূপে লেবীয়দের সদাপ্রভুর সামনে নিবেদন করবে, যেন তারা সদাপ্রভুর কাজ করার জন্য প্রস্তুত হয়।
and Aaron [Light-bringer] shall offer the Levites [Descendants of United with] before Adonai for a wave offering, on the behalf of the children of Israel [God prevails], that it may be theirs to do the service of Adonai.
12 “লেবীয়েরা ওই এঁড়ে বাছুরের উপর হাত রাখার পর, সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে তাদের একটি পাপার্থক বলিরূপে, অন্যটি হোমবলিরূপে উৎসর্গ করবে, যেন লেবীয়দের জন্য প্রায়শ্চিত্ত সাধিত হয়।
“The Levites [Descendants of United with] shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, and you shall offer the one for a habitual sin ·miss the mark· offering, and the other for a burnt offering to Adonai, to make atonement for the Levites [Descendants of United with].
13 হারোণ ও তার ছেলেদের সামনে লেবীয়েরা দাঁড় করাবে। তারপর, সদাপ্রভুর অভিমুখে দোলনীয়-নৈবেদ্যরূপে তাদের নিবেদন করবে।
You shall set the Levites [Descendants of United with] before Aaron [Light-bringer], and before his sons, and offer them as a wave offering to Adonai.
14 এইভাবে, অন্য ইস্রায়েলীদের থেকে তুমি লেবীয়দের পৃথক করবে। লেবীয়দের সকলে আমারই হবে।
Thus you shall separate the Levites [Descendants of United with] from among the children of Israel [God prevails], and the Levites [Descendants of United with] shall be mine.
15 “লেবীয়দের শুদ্ধ করে, তুমি তাদের দোলনীয়-নৈবেদ্যরূপে নিবেদন করার পর, তারা সমাগম তাঁবুতে তাদের সেবাকাজ করতে আসবে।
“After that, the Levites [Descendants of United with] shall go in to do the service of the Tent of Meeting: and you shall cleanse them, and offer them as a wave offering.
16 ইস্রায়েলীদের মধ্যে শুধু তারাই সম্পূর্ণরূপে আমাকে দত্ত হবে। আমি প্রথমজাতদের, প্রত্যেক ইস্রায়েলী স্ত্রীর প্রথম পুরুষ-সন্তানের পরিবর্তে তাদের নিজস্ব স্বত্ব বলে গ্রহণ করেছি।
For they are wholly given to me from among the children of Israel [God prevails]; instead of all who open the womb, even the firstborn of all the children of Israel [God prevails], I have taken them to me.
17 মানুষ অথবা পশু, ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত প্রথমজাত পুরুষ আমার। মিশরে যখন আমি সমস্ত প্রথমজাত প্রাণীকে নিধন করি, আমি তাদের নিজের জন্য স্বতন্ত্র করে রেখেছিলাম।
For all the firstborn among the children of Israel [God prevails] are mine, both man and animal. On the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], I sanctified them for myself.
18 তারপর আমি সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলী প্রথমজাত সন্তানের পরিবর্তে লেবীয়দের গ্রহণ করেছি।
I have taken the Levites [Descendants of United with] instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel [God prevails].
19 সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলীর মধ্য থেকে, আমি হারোণ ও তার ছেলেদের, লেবীয়দের দান করেছি, যেন তারা সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলীর পক্ষে সমাগম তাঁবুর কাজ করে, তাদের জন্য প্রায়শ্চিত্ত করে, যেন তারা যখন পবিত্রস্থানের অভিমুখী হয়, তখন কোনো মহামারি ইস্রায়েলীর আঘাত না করে।”
I have given the Levites [Descendants of United with] as a gift to Aaron [Light-bringer] and to his sons from among the children of Israel [God prevails], to do the service of the children of Israel [God prevails] in the Tent of Meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel [God prevails]; that there be no plague among the children of Israel [God prevails], when the children of Israel [God prevails] come near to the sanctuary.”
20 মোশি, হারোণ এবং সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল সম্প্রদায়, লেবীয় গোষ্ঠীকে নিয়ে সেরকম করলেন, যেমন সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে আদেশ দিয়েছিলেন।
Moses [Drawn out], and Aaron [Light-bringer], and all the congregation of the children of Israel [God prevails] did so to the Levites [Descendants of United with]. According to all that Adonai enjoined Moses [Drawn out] concerning the Levites [Descendants of United with], so the children of Israel [God prevails] did to them.
21 লেবীয়েরা নিজেদের শুদ্ধ করে তাদের পোশাক ধুয়ে ফেলল। তখন হারোণ সদাপ্রভুর সামনে দোলনীয়-নৈবেদ্যরূপে তাদের নিবেদন করলেন ও তাদের শুদ্ধ করার জন্য প্রায়শ্চিত্ত করলেন।
The Levites [Descendants of United with] cleansed sin ·err (the standard goal)· from themselves from sin, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron [Light-bringer] offered them for a wave offering before Adonai; and Aaron [Light-bringer] made atonement for them to cleanse them.
22 তারপর লেবীয়েরা, হারোণ ও তার ছেলেদের তত্ত্বাবধানে, সমাগম তাঁবুর কাজ করার জন্য উপস্থিত হল। তাঁরা লেবীয়দের নিয়ে সেরকম কাজ করলেন, যেমন সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে আদেশ দিয়েছিলেন।
After that, the Levites [Descendants of United with] went in to do their service in the Tent of Meeting before Aaron [Light-bringer], and before his sons: as Adonai had enjoined Moses [Drawn out] concerning the Levites [Descendants of United with], so they did to them.
23 সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে বললেন,
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
24 “এই কথা লেবীয়দের ক্ষেত্রে প্রযোজ্য, পঁচিশ বছর বা তারও বেশি বয়স্ক পুরুষেরা, সমাগম তাঁবুর কাজে অংশগ্রহণ করতে আসবে,
“This is that which belongs to the Levites [Descendants of United with]: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to wait on the service in the work of the Tent of Meeting;
25 কিন্তু পঞ্চাশ বছর বয়স হলে তারা সেবাকাজ থেকে অবসর নেবে ও আর কোনো কাজ করবে না।
and from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting on the work, and shall serve no more,
26 তারা সমাগম তাঁবুর কাজে, তাদের ভাইদের সহায়ক হবে, কিন্তু তারা নিজেরা কোনো কাজ করবে না। এইভাবে তুমি লেবীয়দের দায়িত্ব নিরূপণ করবে।”
but shall minister with their brothers in the Tent of Meeting, to perform the duty, and shall do no service. You shall do thus to the Levites [Descendants of United with] concerning their duties.”
