নহিমিয়ের বই 3

1 মহাযাজক ইলীয়াশীব ও তাঁর সঙ্গী যাজকেরা গিয়ে মেষদ্বার গাঁথলেন। তারা সেটি সমর্পণ করে তাঁর দরজা লাগালেন, তারপর তারা হম্মোয়া দুর্গ থেকে হননেলের দুর্গ পর্যন্ত গেঁথে প্রাচীরের সেই দুটি অংশ সমর্পণ করলেন।

Then rose up Elyashib the high priest with his brethren the priests, and they built the sheep-gate; they sanctified it, and set up its doors: even as far as the tower of Meah did they sanctify it, as far as the tower of Chananel.

2 এর পরের অংশটি যিরীহোর লোকেরা গাঁথল এবং তাঁর পরের অংশটি গাঁথল ইম্রির ছেলে সক্কূর।

And by his side built the men of Jericho. And by his [other] side built Zaccur the son of Imri.

3 হস্‌সনায়ার ছেলেরা মৎস্যদ্বার গাঁথল। তারা তাঁর কড়িকাঠগুলি এবং তাঁর দরজা, খিল আর হুড়কাগুলি লাগাল।

But the fish-gate did the sons of Hassenaah build: they also laid its beams, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.

4 তাঁর পরের অংশটি মেরামত করল ঊরিয়ের ছেলে মরেমোৎ, ঊরিয় ছিল হক্কোষের ছেলে। তাঁর পরের অংশটি বেরিখিয়ের ছেলে মশুল্লম, মেরামত করল, বেরিখিয়ের ছিল মশেষবেলের ছেলে এবং তাঁর পরের অংশটি বানার ছেলে সাদোক মেরামত করল।

And alongside of them repaired Meremoth the son of Uriyah, the son of Kakkoz. And alongside of them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechyah, the son of Meshezabel. And alongside of them repaired Zadok the son of Ba'ana.

5 তাঁর পরের অংশটি মেরামত করল তকোয়ীয়েরা, কিন্তু তাদের প্রধানেরা তাদের তদারককারীদের অধীনে পরিচর্যায় রাজি হল না।

And alongside of them repaired the Teko'ites; but their principal men put not their necks to the work of their Lord.

6 পাসেহের ছেলে যিহোয়াদা ও বসোদিয়ার ছেলে মশুল্লম যিশানা দ্বারটি মেরামত করল। তারা তাঁর কড়িকাঠগুলি এবং তাঁর দরজা, খিল আর হুড়কাগুলি লাগাল।

Moreover the old gate repaired Yoyada' the son of Passeach, and Meshullam the son of Bessodeyah: they laid its beams, and set up its doors, and its locks, and its bars.

7 এর পরের অংশটি গিবিয়োনীয় মলটিয় ও মেরোণোথীয় যাদোন মেরামত করল। এরা ছিল সেই গিবিয়োন ও মিস্‌পার অধিবাসী যা ইউফ্রেটিস নদীর ওপারের শাসনকর্তাদের সিংহাসনের অধীন ছিল।

And alongside of them repaired Melatyah the Gib'onite, and Jadon the Meronothite, men of Gib'on and of Mizpah, unto the seat of the governor on this side of the river.

8 এর পরের অংশটি মেরামত করল হর্হয়ের ছেলে উষীয়েল। উষীয়েল ছিল একজন স্বর্ণকার। তাঁর পরের অংশটি মেরামত করল হনানিয় নামে একজন সুগন্ধি প্রস্তুতকারক। এইভাবে তারা চওড়া প্রাচীর পর্যন্ত জেরুশালেমের প্রাচীর আগের অবস্থায় ফিরিয়ে আনল।

Alongside of him repaired 'Uzziel the son of Charhayah, of the goldsmiths. And alongside of him repaired Chananyah the son of one of the apothecaries, and they fortified Jerusalem as far as the broad wall.

9 জেরুশালেম প্রদেশের অর্ধেক অংশের শাসনকর্তা, হূরের ছেলে রফায় তাঁর পরের অংশটি মেরামত করল।

And alongside of them repaired Rephayah the son of Chur, the chief of the half of the district of Jerusalem.

10 তার পরের অংশটি মেরামত করল হরূমফের ছেলে যিদায়। এই অংশটি তাঁর বাড়ির সামনে ছিল, এবং তাঁর পরের অংশটি হশব্‌নিয়ের ছেলে হটূশ মেরামত করল।

And alongside of them repaired Jedayah the son of Charumaph, and this opposite to his house. And alongside of him repaired Chattush the son of Chashabneyah.

11 হারীমের ছেলে মল্কিয় ও পহৎ-মোয়াবের ছেলে হশূব অন্য এক ভাগ ও তুন্দুর দুর্গটি মেরামত করল।

Another division did Malkiyah the son of Charim, and Chashub the son of Pachathmoab, repair, as also the tower of the ovens.

12 জেরুশালেম প্রদেশের অর্ধেক অংশের শাসনকর্তা হলোহেশের ছেলে শল্লুম ও তার মেয়েরা তার পরের অংশটি মেরামত করল।

And alongside of him repaired Shallum the son of Hallochesh, the chief of the other half of the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.

13 হানূন এবং সানোহ নিবাসীরা উপত্যকার দ্বার মেরামত করল। তারা তার দরজা, খিল আর হুড়কাগুলি লাগাল। তারা সার-দ্বার পর্যন্ত 1,000 হাত প্রাচীরও মেরামত করল।

The gate of the valley repaired Chanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoach: they built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and a thousand cubits of the wall as far as the dung-gate.

14 বেথ-হক্কেরম প্রদেশের শাসনকর্তা রেখবের ছেলে মল্কিয় সার-দ্বার মেরামত করলেন। তিনি তার দরজা, খিল আর হুড়কাগুলি লাগালেন।

And the dung-gate repaired Malkiyah the son of Rechah, the chief of the district of Beth-hakkerem: he built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.

15 মিস্‌পা প্রদেশের শাসনকর্তা কল্‌হোষির ছেলে শল্লুম উনুইদ্বার মেরামত করলেন। তিনি তার উপর ছাদ দিলেন এবং তার দরজা, খিল ও হুড়কাগুলি লাগালেন। রাজার বাগানের পাশে শীলোহের পুকুরের প্রাচীর থেকে আরম্ভ করে দাউদ-নগরের থেকে যে সিঁড়ি নেমে গেছে সেই পর্যন্ত তিনি মেরামত করলেন।

And the gate of the fountain repaired Shallum the son of Col-chozeh, the chief of the district of Mizpah: he built it and covered it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and the wall of the pool of Shelach by the king's garden, and as far as the stairs that lead down from the city of David.

16 বেত-সূর প্রদেশের অর্ধেক অংশের শাসনকর্তা অস্‌বুকের ছেলে নহিমিয় প্রাচীরের পরের অংশটি দাউদ বংশের কবরের কাছ থেকে কাটা পুকুর ও বীরদের বাড়ি পর্যন্ত মেরামত করলেন।

Next to him repaired Nehemiah the son of 'Azbuk, the chief of the half district of Beth-zur, as far as the place opposite to the sepulchres of David, and as far as the pool that was [newly] made, and as far as the house of the mighty men.

17 তার পরের অংশটি বানির ছেলে রহূমের অধীনে লেবীয়েরা মেরামত করল। তার পরের অংশটি কিয়ীলা প্রদেশের অর্ধেক অংশের শাসনকর্তা হশবিয় তার এলাকার হয়ে মেরামত করলেন।

Next to him repaired the Levites: Rechum the son of Bani. Alongside of him repaired Chashabyah, the chief of the half district of Ke'ilah, for his district.

18 তার পরের অংশটি তাদের সঙ্গের লেবীয়েরা, কিয়ীলা প্রদেশের বাকি অংশের শাসনকর্তা হেনাদদের ছেলে ববয়ের অধীনে থেকে মেরামত করল।

Next to him repaired their brethren: Bavai the son of Chenadad, the chief of the [other] half district of Ke'ilah.

19 তাদের পরের অংশটি, মিস্‌পার শাসনকর্তা যেশূয়ের ছেলে এষর অস্ত্রশস্ত্র রাখবার ঘরে উঠবার পথের সামনের জায়গা থেকে প্রাচীরের বাঁক পর্যন্ত মেরামত করে।

And there repaired alongside of him 'Ezer the son of Joshua, the chief of Mizpah, another division, opposite to the ascent to the armory at the angle.

20 তারপরে সব্বয়ের ছেলে বারূক প্রাচীরের বাঁক থেকে মহাযাজক ইলীয়াশীবের বাড়ির দ্বার পর্যন্ত আগ্রহের সঙ্গে মেরামত করল।

Next to him did Baruch the son of Zaccai' earnestly repair another division, from the angle as far as the door of the house of Elyashib the high priest.

21 তার পরের অংশটি ঊরিয়ের ছেলে মরেমোৎ ইলীয়াশীবের বাড়ির দ্বার থেকে শুরু করে বাড়ির শেষ পর্যন্ত মেরামত করল। ঊরিয় ছিল হক্কোষের ছেলে।

Next to him repaired Meremoth the son of Uriyah the son of Hakkoz another division, from the door of the house of Elyashib even as far as the end of the house of Elyashib.

22 পার্শ্ববর্তী অঞ্চলের নিবাসী যাজকেরা তার পরের অংশটি মেরামত করলেন।

And next to him repaired the priests, the men of the plain [of Jordan].

23 বিন্যামীন ও হশূব তার পরের অংশটি মেরামত করল যেটি ছিল তাদের বাড়ির সামনে। তার পরের অংশটি মাসেয়ের ছেলে অসরিয় মেরামত করল যেটি ছিল তাদের বাড়ির পাশের অংশ। মাসেয় ছিল অননিয়ের ছেলে।

Next to him repaired Benjamin and Chashub opposite to their house. Next to him repaired 'Azaryah the son of Ma'aseyah the son of 'Ananyah alongside of his house.

24 তার পাশে হেনাদদের ছেলে বিন্নূয়ী অসরিয়ের বাড়ি থেকে শুরু করে বাঁক ও কোনা পর্যন্ত আর একটি অংশ মেরামত করল।

Next to him repaired Binnui the son of Chenadad another division, from the house of 'Azaryah as far as the angle, and as far as the corner.

25 উষয়ের ছেলে পালল বাকের অন্য দিকটি পাহারাদারদের উঠানের কাছে রাজবাড়ি থেকে বেরিয়ে আসা উঁচু দুর্গটার সামনের অংশটি মেরামত করল। তারপরে পরোশের ছেলে পদায়

Palal the son of Uzai [repaired] from opposite to the angle, and the tower which standeth out from the king's upper house, that was by the court of the prison. Next to him Pedayah the son of Par'osh.

26 এবং মন্দিরের দাসেরা যারা ওফলের পাহাড়ে বাস করত তারা পূর্বদিকে জল-দ্বার এবং বেরিয়ে আসা দুর্গ পর্যন্ত মেরামত করল।

And the temple-servants dwelt on the hill fort, [and they built] as far as opposite to the water-gate toward the east, and the tower that standeth out.

27 তাদের পাশে তকোয়ের লোকেরা সেই বেরিয়ে আসা বিরাট দুর্গ থেকে ওফলের প্রাচীর পর্যন্ত আর একটি অংশ মেরামত করল।

Next to them repaired the Teko'ites another division from opposite the great tower that standeth out, and as far as the wall of the hill fort.

28 যাজকেরা অশ্বদ্বারের উপর দিকে, প্রত্যেকজন নিজ নিজ বাড়ির সামনে মেরামত করল।

From above the horse-gate repaired the priests, every one opposite to his house.

29 তার পরের অংশটি ইম্মেরের ছেলে সাদোক তার বাড়ির সামনের দিকে মেরামত করল। তার পরের অংশটি পূব-দ্বারের রক্ষক শখনিয়ের ছেলে শময়িয় মেরামত করল।

Next to this repaired Zadok the son of Immer opposite to his house. And next to him repaired Shema'yah the son of Schechanyah, the keeper of the east gate.

30 তার পাশে শেলিমিয়ের ছেলে হনানিয় ও সালফের ষষ্ঠ ছেলে হানূন আর একটি অংশ মেরামত করল। তার পাশের অংশটি বেরিখিয়ের ছেলে মশুল্লম তার ঘরের সামনে মেরামত করল।

Next to him repaired Chananyah the son of Shelemyah, and Chanun the sixth son of Zalaph another division. Next to him repaired Meshullam the son of Berechyah opposite to his chamber.

31 তার পরের অংশটি মল্কিয় নামে একজন স্বর্ণকার মেরামত করল, এটি ছিল সমাবেশ-দ্বারের সামনে উপাসনা গৃহের সেবাকারীদের ও ব্যবসায়ীদের বাড়ি পর্যন্ত এবং প্রাচীরের কোণের উপরের ঘর পর্যন্ত;

Next to him repaired Malkiyah the goldsmith's son as far as the house of the temple-servants, and of the merchants, opposite to the mustering-gate, and to the upper chamber of the corner.

32 এবং স্বর্ণকার ও ব্যবসায়ীরা প্রাচীরের কোণের উপরকার ঘর আর মেষদ্বারের মাঝখানের জায়গাটি মেরামত করল।

And between the upper chamber of the corner and the sheep-gate repaired the goldsmiths and the merchants.
