1 এই যাজকেরা ও লেবীয়েরা শল্টীয়েলের ছেলে সরুব্বাবিলের ও যেশূয়ের সঙ্গে এসেছিল: সরায়, যিরমিয়, ইষ্রা,

Now these are the priests and the Levites that went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra;

2 অমরিয়, মল্লূক, হটূশ

Amariah, Malluch, Hattush;

3 শখনিয়, রহূম, মরেমোৎ

Shecaniah, Rehum, Meremoth;

4 ইদ্দো, গিন্নথোয়, অবিয়

Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah;

5 মিয়ামীন, মোয়াদিয়, বিল্‌গা

Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah;

6 শময়িয়, যোয়ারীব, যিদয়িয়,

Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah;

7 সল্লূ, আমোক, হিল্কিয় ও যিদয়িয়। যেশূয়ের সময়ে এরা ছিলেন যাজকদের ও তাদের সহযোগীদের মধ্যে প্রধান।

Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the chiefs of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua.

8 লেবীয়েরা হল যেশূয়, বিন্নূয়ী, কদ্‌মীয়েল, শেরেবিয়, যিহূদা, মত্তনিয়, এই মত্তনিয় ও তার সহযোগীরা ধন্যবাদের গানের দায়িত্বে ছিল।

Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, [and] Mattaniah, which was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren.

9 সেবাকাজের সময় তাদেরই সহযোগী বক্‌বুকিয় ও উন্নো তাদের মুখোমুখি দাঁড়াত।

Also Bakbukiah and Unno, their brethren, were over against them in wards.

10 যেশূয় ছিল যোয়াকীমের বাবা, যোয়াকীম ছিল ইলীয়াশীবের বাবা, ইলিয়াশীব ছিল যোয়াদার বাবা,

And Jeshua begat Joiakim, and Joiakim begat Eliashib, and Eliashib begat Joiada,

11 যোয়াদা ছিল যোনাথনের বাবা, এবং যোনাথন ছিল যদ্দূয়ের বাবা।

and Joiada begat Jonathan, and Jonathan begat Jaddua.

12 যোয়াকীমের সময়ে যাজকদের পরিবারের মধ্যে এরা প্রধান ছিলেন: সরায়ের পরিবারে মরায়; যিরমিয়ের পরিবারে হনানিয়;

And in the days of Joiakim were priests, heads of fathers’ [houses]: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;

13 ইষ্রার পরিবারে মশুল্লম; অমরিয়ের পরিবারে যিহোহানন;

of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;

14 মল্লূকীর পরিবারে যোনাথন; শবনিয়ের পরিবারে যোষেফ;

of Malluchi, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;

15 হারীমের পরিবারে অদ্‌ন; মরায়োতের পরিবারে হিল্কয়;

of Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;

16 ইদ্দোর পরিবারে সখরিয়; গিন্নথোনের পরিবারে মশুল্লম;

of Iddo, Zechariah; of Gennethon, Meshullam;

17 অবিয়ের পরিবারে সিখ্রি; মিনিয়ামীনের ও মোয়দিয়ের পরিবারে পিল্টয়;

of Abijah, Zichri; of Miniamin, of Moadiah, Piltai;

18 বিল্‌গার পরিবারে শম্মূয়; শময়িয়ের পরিবারে যিহোনাথন;

of Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;

19 যোয়ারীবের পরিবারে মত্তনয়; যিদয়িয়ের পরিবারে উষি;

and of Joiarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi;

20 সল্লূয়ের পরিবারে কল্লয়; আমোকের পরিবারে এবর;

of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;

21 হিল্কিয়ের পরিবারে হশবিয়; যিদয়িয়ের পরিবারে নথনেল।

of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethanel.

22 ইলীয়াশীবের, যোয়াদার, যোহাননের ও যদ্দূয়ের সময়ে লেবীয়দের এবং যাজকদের পরিবারের প্রধানদের নামের তালিকা পারসীক দারিয়াবসের রাজত্বকালে লেখা হয়েছিল।

The Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were recorded heads of fathers’ [houses]: also the priests, in the reign of Darius the Persian.

23 লেবি বংশের প্রধানদের নাম ইলীয়াশীবের ছেলে যোহাননের সময় পর্যন্ত বংশাবলী পুস্তকের মধ্যে লেখা হয়েছিল।

The sons of Levi, heads of fathers’ [houses], were written in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.

24 লেবীয়দের প্রধান লোক হশবিয়, শেরেবিয়, ও কদ্‌মীয়েলের ছেলে যেশূয়, এবং তাদের সহযোগীরা ঈশ্বরের লোক দাউদের কথামতো অন্য দলের মুখোমুখি দাঁড়িয়ে দলের পর দল ঈশ্বরের প্রশংসা ও ধন্যবাদ করত।

And the chiefs of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward against ward.

25 মত্তনিয়, বক্‌বুকিয়, ওবদিয়, মশুল্লম, টল্‌মোন ও অক্কূব দারোয়ান হয়ে দ্বার সকলের কাছে যে সকল ভাণ্ডার ছিল সেগুলি পাহারা দিত।

Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the ward at the storehouses of the gates.

26 তারা যোষাদকের ছেলে যেশূয় ও তার ছেলে যোয়াকীমের সময় ও শাসনকর্তা নহিমিয়ের এবং বিধানের অধ্যাপক ও যাজক ইষ্রার সময়ে পরিচর্যা করত।

These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest the scribe.

27 জেরুশালেমের প্রাচীর উৎসর্গ করার উপলক্ষে লেবীয়েরা যেখানে বাস করত সেখান থেকে তাদের জেরুশালেমে আনা হল যেন তারা করতাল, বীণা ও সুরবাহার বাজিয়ে আনন্দের সঙ্গে উৎসর্গের জন্য গান গেয়ে ধন্যবাদ দিতে পারে।

And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication, with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.

28 গায়কদের আনা হয়েছিল জেরুশালেমের নিকটবর্তী জায়গা থেকে নটোফাতীয়দের সকল গ্রাম থেকে।

And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of the Netophathites;

29 বেথ-গিল্‌গল, গেবা ও অস্‌মাবৎ এলাকা থেকেও গায়কদের এনে জড়ো করা হল, কেননা এরা জেরুশালেমের চারপাশে এসব জায়গায় নিজেদের গ্রাম স্থাপন করেছিল।

also from Beth-gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem.

30 যাজকেরা ও লেবীয়েরা নিজেরা শুচি হয়ে লোকদের, দ্বারসকল ও প্রাচীর শুচি করল।

And the priests and the Levites purified themselves; and they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.

31 পরে আমি যিহূদার কর্মকর্তাদের প্রাচীরের উপর আনলাম এবং ধন্যবাদ দেবার জন্য দুটি বড়ো গানের দল নিযুক্ত করলাম। একটি দল প্রাচীরের উপর দিয়ে ডানদিকে সারদ্বারের দিকে গেল।

Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies that gave thanks and went in procession; [whereof one went] on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:

32 তাদের পিছনে হোশয়িয় ও যিহূদার অর্ধেক কর্মকর্তারা,

and after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah,

33 এবং অসরিয় ইষ্রা, ও মশুল্লম,

and Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,

34 যিহূদা, বিন্যামীন, শময়িয়, যিরমিয়।

Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,

35 এছাড়া তূরী হাতে কয়েকজন যাজক এবং আসফের বংশের সক্কূর ছেলে, মীখার ছেলে, মত্তনিয়ের ছেলে, শময়িয়র ছেলে যোনাথন, তার ছেলে সখরিয়,

and certain of the priests’ sons with trumpets: Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph;

36 এবং তার সহযোগীরা—শময়িয়, অসরেল, মিললয়, গিলল্য, মায়য়, নথনেল, যিহূদা ও হনানি—ঈশ্বরের লোক দাউদের কথামতো তারা বিভিন্ন রকম বাজনা নিয়ে চলল, এবং বিধানের অধ্যাপক ইষ্রা তাদের আগে আগে চলল।

and his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God; and Ezra the scribe was before them:

37 ফোয়ারা-দ্বারের কাছ দিয়ে যেখানে প্রাচীর উপর দিকে উঠে গেছে সেখানে তারা দাউদ-নগরে উঠবার সিঁড়ি দিয়ে দাউদের প্রাসাদের পাশ দিয়ে পূর্বদিকে জল-দ্বারে গেল।

And by the fountain gate, and straight before them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.

38 দ্বিতীয় গানের দল উল্টোদিকে এগিয়ে গেল। আমি বাকি অর্ধেক লোক নিয়ে প্রাচীরের উপর দিয়ে তাদের পিছনে গেলাম, তন্দুরের দুর্গ থেকে প্রশস্ত প্রাচীর পর্যন্ত গেল,

And the other company of them that gave thanks went to meet them, and I after them, with the half of the people, upon the wall, above the tower of the furnaces, even unto the broad wall;

39 তারপর ইফ্রয়িমের দ্বার, পুরাতন দ্বার, মৎস্যদ্বার, হননেলের দুর্গ ও হম্মেয়োর দুর্গ দিয়ে মেষদ্বার পর্যন্ত। তারা রক্ষীদের দ্বারে থামল।

and above the gate of Ephraim, and by the old gate, and by the fish gate, and the tower of Hananel, and the tower of Hammeah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the gate of the guard.

40 যে দুটি গানের দল ধন্যবাদ দিয়েছিল তারা তারপর ঈশ্বরের গৃহের মধ্যে তাদের জায়গায় গিয়ে দাঁড়াল; এবং আমিও তাই করলাম। আমার সঙ্গে কর্মকর্তাদের অর্ধেক লোক ছিল।

So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:

41 আর সঙ্গে তূরী নিয়ে যে যাজকরা ছিল: ইলিয়াকীম, মাসেয় মিনিয়ামীন, মীখায়, ইলীয়ৈনয়, সখরিয়, হনানিয়।

and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;

42 এরা ছাড়াও সেখানে মাসেয়, শময়িয়, ইলিয়াসর, উষি, যিহোহানন, মল্কিয়, এলম ও এষর ছিল। গানের দলের লোকেরা যিষ্রহিয়ের নির্দেশমতো গান করল।

and Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.

43 ঈশ্বর তাদের প্রচুর আনন্দ দান করেছেন বলে সেদিন লোকেরা বড়ো একটি উৎসর্গের অনুষ্ঠান করল ও খুব আনন্দ করল। স্ত্রীলোকেরা ও ছোটরাও আনন্দ করল। জেরুশালেমের আনন্দধ্বনি অনেক দূর পর্যন্ত শোনা গেল।

And they offered great sacrifices that day, and rejoiced; for God had made them rejoice with great joy; and the women also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

44 সেই সময় ভাণ্ডারের দায়িত্ব নেওয়ার জন্য লোকদের নিযুক্ত করা হল যারা সব দান, ফসলের অগ্রিমাংশ ও দশমাংশ সেখানে নিয়ে আসবে। তাদের নগরের চারিদিকের ক্ষেত্র থেকে বিধান অনুসারে যাজক ও লেবীয়দের জন্য লোকদের কাছ থেকে ফসলের অংশ নিয়ে আসার দায়িত্ব ছিল। যিহূদার লোকেরা পরিচর্যাকারী যাজক ও লেবীয়দের কাজে সন্তুষ্ট হয়েছিল।

And on that day were men appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the heave offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them, according to the fields of the cities, the portions appointed by the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.

45 তারা তাদের ঈশ্বরের পরিচর্যা ও শুচি করার কাজ করত এবং গায়কেরা ও দারোয়ানেরা দাউদের ও তার ছেলে শলোমনের আদেশ অনুসারে কাজ করত।

And they kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, and [so did] the singers and the porters, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.

46 অনেক কাল আগে, দাউদ ও আসফের সময়ে ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশে প্রশংসা ও ধন্যবাদের গান গাইবার জন্য গায়কদের জন্য পরিচালকদের নিযুক্ত করা হয়েছিল।

For in the days of David and Asaph of old there was a chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.

47 সরুব্বাবিলের ও নহিমিয়ের সময়ও ইস্রায়েলীরা সকলেই গায়ক ও দারোয়ানদের প্রতিদিনের অংশ দিত। আর তারা অন্যান্য লেবীয়দের পাওনা পৃথক করে রাখত এবং লেবীয়েরা হারোণের বংশধরদের জন্য তাদের পাওনা পৃথক করে রাখত।

And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, as every day required: and they sanctified for the Levites; and the Levites sanctified for the sons of Aaron.
