মীখা ভাববাদীর পুস্তক 7
1 কি দুর্দশা আমার! আমি সেইরকম হয়েছি যে গ্রীষ্মকালে ফল সংগ্রহ করে আর দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেতে কুড়ায়; খাবার জন্য আঙুরের গুচ্ছ নেই, আমার আকাঙ্ক্ষিত এমন কোনো ডুমুরও নেই যা পাকতে চলেছে।
Woe is me, for I am as the sommer gatherings, and as the grapes of the vintage: there is no cluster to eate: my soule desired the first ripe fruites.
2 দেশ থেকে ভক্তদের মুছে ফেলা হয়েছে; সৎলোক একজনও নেই। রক্তপাত করার জন্য সবাই ওৎ পেতে আছে; প্রত্যেকে তার নিজের জালে অন্যকে আটকাতে চায়।
The good man is perished out of the earth, and there is none righteous among men: they all lye in wayte for blood: euery man hunteth his brother with a net.
3 দুষ্কর্ম করার জন্য দু-হাতই দক্ষ; শাসকেরা উপহার দাবি করে, বিচারকেরা ঘুস নেয়, ক্ষমতাশালীরা তাদের ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করে, তারা একসঙ্গে চক্রান্ত করে।
To make good for the euil of their hands, the prince asked, and the iudge iudgeth for a reward: therefore the great man he speaketh out the corruption of his soule: so they wrapt it vp.
4 তাদের মধ্যে সব থেকে ভালো লোকেরা কাঁটাঝোপের মতো, সবচেয়ে সৎলোকেরা কাঁটাগাছের বেড়ার চেয়েও খারাপ। তোমার কাছে ঐশ্বরিক দণ্ডের দিন এসে গেছে, যেদিন তোমার প্রহরীরা ঘোষণা করবে। এখনই তোমাদের বিশৃঙ্খল হওয়ার সময়।
The best of them is as a brier, and the most righteous of them is sharper then a thorne hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation commeth: then shalbe their confusion.
5 তোমাদের প্রতিবেশীদের বিশ্বাস করো না; তোমাদের মিত্রদের উপরও নির্ভর করো না। যে স্ত্রী তোমার বুকের মধ্যে শুয়ে থাকে তার কাছে সাবধানতার সঙ্গে কথা বোলো।
Trust ye not in a friend, neither put ye confidence in a counseller: keepe the doores of thy mouth from her that lyeth in thy bosome.
6 কারণ ছেলে তার নিজের বাবাকে অসম্মান করে, মেয়ে নিজের মায়ের বিরুদ্ধে, ছেলের বৌ নিজের শ্বাশুড়ীর বিরুদ্ধে উঠে মানুষের নিজের পরিবারের লোকেরাই তার শত্রু।
For the sonne reuileth the father: ye daughter riseth vp against her mother: the daughter in lawe against her mother in lawe, and a mans enemies are the men of his owne house.
7 কিন্তু আমি সদাপ্রভুর উপর আশা রাখব, আমি উদ্ধারকারী ঈশ্বরের জন্য অপেক্ষা করব; আমার সদাপ্রভু আমার কথা শুনবেন।
Therefore I will looke vnto the Lord: I will waite for God my Sauiour: my God will heare me.
8 হে আমার শত্রু, আমাকে নিয়ে খুশি হোয়ো না! আমি পড়ে গেলেও, আমি আবার উঠব। যদি আমি অন্ধকারেও বসি, সদাপ্রভু আমার জ্যোতি হবেন।
Reioyce not against me, O mine enemie: though I fall, I shall arise: when I shall sit in darkenesse, the Lord shalbe a light vnto me.
9 যেহেতু আমি সদাপ্রভুর বিরুদ্ধে পাপ করেছি, তাই আমি তাঁর ক্রোধ বহন করছি, যতক্ষণ না তিনি আমাদের পক্ষে কথা বলেন এবং আমার উদ্দেশ্য সমর্থন করেন। তিনি আমাকে জ্যোতিতে নিয়ে আসবেন; আমি তাঁর ধার্মিকতা দেখব।
I will beare the wrath of the Lord because I haue sinned against him, vntill he pleade my cause, and execute iudgement for me: then will he bring me foorth to the light, and I shall see his righteousnesse.
10 তখন আমার শত্রুরা তা দেখবে এবং লজ্জিত হয়ে নিজেকে ঢাকবে, সে আমাকে বলেছিল, “তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু কোথায়?” আমি নিজের চোখে তার পতন দেখব; এমনকি রাস্তার কাদার মতো তাকে পা দিয়ে দলন করা হবে।
Then she that is mine enemie, shall looke vpon it, and shame shall couer her, which said vnto me, Where is the Lord thy God? Mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be troden downe as the myre of the streetes.
11 তোমার প্রাচীর গাঁথার দিন আসবে, তোমার সীমানা বৃদ্ধি করার দিন।
This is ye day, that thy walles shalbe built: this day shall driue farre away the decree.
12 সেদিন আসিরিয়া এবং মিশরের নগরগুলি থেকে লোকেরা তোমার কাছে আসবে, এমনকি মিশর থেকে ইউফ্রেটিস পর্যন্ত এবং এক সমুদ্র থেকে আর এক সমুদ্র পর্যন্ত, আর এক পাহাড় থেকে আর এক পাহাড় পর্যন্ত।
In this day also they shall come vnto thee from Asshur, and from the strong cities, and from the strong holdes euen vnto the riuer, and from Sea to Sea, and from mountaine to mountaine.
13 পৃথিবীর বাসিন্দাদের কাজের ফলে পৃথিবী জনশূন্য হবে।
Notwithstanding, the lande shall be desolate because of them that dwell therein, and for the fruites of their inuentions.
14 তোমার লাঠি দিয়ে তোমার লোকেদের তত্ত্বাবধান করো, সেই পাল তোমার উত্তরাধিকার, যারা নিজেরা একা অরণ্যে বাস করে, উর্বর চারণভূমিতে। অনেক দিন আগে যেমন চরে বেড়াত তেমনি বাশনে ও গিলিয়দে তারা চরে খাক।
Feed thy people with thy rod, the flocke of thine heritage (which dwell solitarie in the wood) as in the middes of Carmel: let them feede in Bashan and Gilead, as in olde time.
15 “মিশর দেশ থেকে বের হয়ে আসার দিনগুলির মতো, আমি তাদের আমার আশ্চর্য কাজ দেখাব।”
According to the dayes of thy comming out of the lande of Egypt, will I shewe vnto him marueilous things.
16 জাতিগণ দেখবে ও লজ্জিত হবে, তাদের সমস্ত শক্তি থেকে তারা বঞ্চিত হবে। তারা নিজেদের মুখ হাত দিয়ে বন্ধ করবে, এবং তাদের কান বধির হবে।
The nations shall see, and be confounded for all their power: they shall lay their hande vpon their mouth: their eares shall be deafe.
17 তারা সাপের মতো ধুলো চাটবে, সেই প্রাণীদের মতো যারা সরীসৃপ। তারা ভয়ে কাঁপতে কাঁপতে তাদের গর্ত থেকে বেরিয়ে আসবে; তারা ভয়ে আমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর কাছে ফিরে আসবে, এবং তোমাকে ভয় করবে।
They shall licke the dust like a serpent: they shall mooue out of their holes like wormes: they shalbe afraide of the Lord our God, and shall feare because of thee.
18 কে তোমার মতো ঈশ্বর, যিনি তাঁর অধিকারভুক্ত অবশিষ্ট লোকদের পাপ ও অপরাধ ক্ষমা করেন? তুমি চিরকাল ক্রুদ্ধ হয়ে থেকো না কিন্তু দয়া দেখিয়ে আনন্দ পাও।
Who is a God like vnto thee, that taketh away iniquitie, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage! He reteineth not his wrath for euer, because mercie pleaseth him.
19 তুমি আমাদের উপর আবার করুণা করবে; তুমি আমাদের সব পাপ পায়ের তলায় মাড়াবে এবং আমাদের সব অন্যায় সমুদ্রের গভীর জলে ফেলে দেবে।
He will turne againe, and haue compassion vpon vs: he will subdue our iniquities, and cast all their sinnes into the bottome of the sea.
20 তুমি যাকোবের প্রতি বিশ্বস্ত থাকবে এবং অব্রাহামকে তোমার ভালোবাসা দেখাবে, যেমন তুমি আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের কাছে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়ে শপথ করেছিলে অনেক দিন আগে।
Thou wilt perfourme thy trueth to Iaakob, and mercie to Abraham, as thou hast sworne vnto our fathers in olde time.
