1 যীশু তখন বিভিন্ন রূপকের আশ্রয়ে তাদের সঙ্গে কথা বলতে লাগলেন: “এক ব্যক্তি একটি দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেত স্থাপন করলেন। তিনি তাঁর চারপাশে একটি প্রাচীর নির্মাণ করলেন; দ্রাক্ষা পেষাই করার জন্য গর্ত খুঁড়লেন এবং পাহারা দেওয়ার জন্য এক উঁচু মিনার নির্মাণ করলেন। তারপর কয়েকজন ভাগচাষিকে দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেতটি ভাড়া দিয়ে তিনি এক যাত্রাপথে চলে গেলেন।
And he began to discourse with them in parables. A certain man planted a vinery, and surrounded it with an enclosure, and dug in it a wine-press, and built in it a tower, and gave it to be held by husbandmen, and journeyed.
2 পরে ফল কাটার সময় উপস্থিত হলে, তিনি তাঁর এক দাসকে ফলের অংশ সংগ্রহের জন্য দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেতে ভাগচাষিদের কাছে পাঠালেন।
And he sent to the husbandmen his servant in the time to receive the fruits of the vinery.
3 কিন্তু তারা তাকে মারধর করল ও শূন্য হাতে তাকে ফিরিয়ে দিল।
But they beat him, and sent him away empty.
4 তারপর তিনি অন্য এক দাসকে তাদের কাছে পাঠালেন; তারা সেই দাসের মাথায় আঘাত করল ও তার সঙ্গে নির্লজ্জ আচরণ করল।
He sent to them again another servant; and also that one they stoned, and bruised him, and sent him away with dishonour.
5 তিনি তবুও আর একজনকে পাঠালেন, তারা তাকে হত্যা করল। তিনি আরও অনেকজনকে পাঠালেন, তাদের কাউকে কাউকে তারা মারধর করল, অন্যদের হত্যা করল।
And he sent again another, and him they killed; and many other servants he sent, and of them they beat, (and) of them they killed.
6 “তখন তাঁর কাছে অবশিষ্ট ছিলেন আর একজন মাত্র ব্যক্তি, তিনি তাঁর প্রিয়তম পুত্র। সকলের শেষে তিনি একথা বলে তাঁকেই পাঠালেন, ‘তারা আমার পুত্রকে সম্মান করবে।’
But at last having one son, the beloved, he sent him to them; for he said, Now will they be confounded by my son.
7 “কিন্তু ভাগচাষিরা পরস্পরকে বলল, ‘এই হচ্ছে উত্তরাধিকারী! এসো, আমরা একে হত্যা করি, তাহলে মালিকানা আমাদের হবে।’
But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.
8 তাই তারা তাঁকে ধরে হত্যা করল ও দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেতের বাইরে ছুঁড়ে ফেলে দিল।
And they took and killed him, and cast him without from the vinery.
9 “দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেতের মালিক তখন কী করবেন? তিনি এসে ওইসব ভাগচাষিদের হত্যা করবেন এবং দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেতটি অন্যদের দেবেন।
What therefore shall the Lord of the vinery do? He will come, destroy those labourers, and will give the vinery to others.
10 তোমরা কি শাস্ত্রে পাঠ করোনি, “‘গাঁথকেরা যে পাথর অগ্রাহ্য করেছিল, তাই হয়ে উঠল কোণের প্রধান পাথর;
And also that scripture have you not read, The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner?
11 প্রভুই এরকম করেছেন, আর তা আমাদের দৃষ্টিতে অবিশ্বাস্য।’”
from the Lord is this done, and it is wondrous in our eyes.
12 তখন প্রধান যাজকেরা, শাস্ত্রবিদরা ও প্রাচীনবর্গ যীশুকে গ্রেপ্তার করার কোনো উপায় খুঁজতে লাগল, কারণ তারা জানত, রূপক কাহিনিটি তিনি তাদের বিরুদ্ধেই বলেছেন। কিন্তু তারা জনসাধারণকে ভয় পেত; তাই তারা তাঁকে ছেড়ে চলে গেল।
And they sought to apprehend him, but feared from the people: for they knew that concerning themselves he had spoken this parable. And he left them, and went.
13 এরপর তারা কয়েকজন ফরিশী ও হেরোদীয়কে যীশুর কাছে পাঠাল, যেন তাঁর কথাতেই তারা তাঁকে ধরার সূত্র খুঁজে পায়।
And they sent to him men from the Sophree and from the house of Herodes, that they should ensnare him in discourse.
14 তারা তাঁর কাছে এসে বলল, “গুরুমহাশয়, আমরা জানি, আপনি একজন সত্যনিষ্ঠ মানুষ। কোনো মানুষের দ্বারা আপনি প্রভাবিত হন না, তাদের কারও বিষয়ে আপনি কোনো ভ্রূক্ষেপ করেন না। বরং আপনি সত্য অনুযায়ী ঈশ্বরের পথের বিষয়ে শিক্ষা দেন। আপনার অভিমত কী, কৈসরকে কর দেওয়া কি উচিত?
And they came and questioned him: Malphona, we know that thou art true, and that thou bearest not care for man: for thou regardest not the person of the sons of man, but in truth the way of Aloha thou teachest: Is it lawful to give headmoney to Caesar, or not?
15 আমরা কি কর দেব না দেব না?” যীশু কিন্তু তাদের ভণ্ডামির কথা বুঝতে পারলেন। তিনি জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, “তোমরা কেন আমাকে ফাঁদে ফেলার চেষ্টা করছ? তোমরা আমার কাছে এক দিনার মুদ্রা নিয়ে এসো ও আমাকে তা দেখতে দাও।”
shall we give, or shall we not give? But he knew their deceit, and said to them, Why do you tempt me? bring me the dinara, (that) I may see it.
16 তারা সেই মুদ্রা নিয়ে এল। তিনি তাদের জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, “এটি কার প্রতিকৃতি? খোদাই করা এই নাম কার?” তারা উত্তর দিল, “কৈসরের।”
And they brought it to him. He said to them, Of whom (is) this image and writing? And they said, Of Caesar.
17 তখন যীশু তাদের বললেন, “যা কৈসরের, তা কৈসরকে দাও, আর যা ঈশ্বরের, তা ঈশ্বরকে দাও।” এতে তারা তাঁর সম্পর্কে অত্যন্ত বিস্মিত হল।
Jeshu said to them, Of Caesar give to Caesar, and of Aloha to Aloha. And they were astonished at him.
18 তখন সদ্দূকীরা, যারা বলে পুনরুত্থান বলে কিছু নেই, একটি প্রশ্ন নিয়ে তাঁর কাছে এল।
AND the Zadukoyee came to him, those who say that (there is) no resurrection; and they questioned him, saying,
19 তারা বলল, “গুরুমহাশয়, মোশি আমাদের জন্য লিখে গেছেন, কোনো ব্যক্তি যদি স্ত্রীকে সন্তানহীন রেখে মারা যায়, তবে তার ভাই, তার বিধবা পত্নীকে বিবাহ করবে এবং সে তার বড়ো ভাইয়ের জন্য সন্তানের জন্ম দেবে।
Malphona, Musha has written for us, That if the brother of a man die, and leave a wife, and leave not children, his brother shall take his wife and raise up seed unto his brother.
20 মনে করুন, সাতজন ভাই ছিল। প্রথমজন বিবাহ করল ও নিঃসন্তান অবস্থায় তার স্ত্রীকে রেখে মারা গেল।
Seven brethren there were. The first took a wife, and died, and left not seed.
21 দ্বিতীয়জন সেই বিধবাকে বিবাহ করল, কিন্তু সেও নিঃসন্তান অবস্থায় মারা গেল। তৃতীয় জনের ক্ষেত্রেও একই ঘটনা ঘটল।
And the second took her, and died, and he also left not seed: and the third likewise.
22 প্রকৃতপক্ষে, সেই সাতজনের কেউই কোনো সন্তান রেখে যেতে পারল না। অবশেষে সেই স্ত্রীরও মৃত্যু হল।
And the seven of them took her, and did not leave seed: last of all died also that woman.
23 তাহলে, পুনরুত্থানে সে কার স্ত্রী হবে, কারণ সাতজনই তো তাকে বিবাহ করেছিল?”
In the resurrection therefore, whose from them shall she be the wife? for the seven of them had her.
24 যীশু উত্তর দিলেন, “এই কি তোমাদের ভ্রান্তির কারণ নয়, কারণ তোমরা শাস্ত্র জানো না, ঈশ্বরের পরাক্রমও জানো না?
Jeshu saith to them, Do you not on this account err, because you know not the scripture, nor the power of Aloha?
25 মৃতেরা যখন উত্থিত হয়, তখন তারা বিবাহ করে না, বা তাদের বিবাহ দেওয়াও হয় না। তারা স্বর্গলোকের দূতগণের মতো হয়।
For when they rise from the dead, they take not wives, neither are wives (given) unto husbands; but as the angels that are in heaven are they.
26 কিন্তু মৃতদের উত্থান সম্পর্কে মোশির গ্রন্থে জ্বলন্ত ঝোপের বৃত্তান্তে কী লেখা আছে, তা কি তোমরা পাঠ করোনি? ঈশ্বর কীভাবে তাঁকে বলেছিলেন, ‘আমি অব্রাহামের ঈশ্বর, ইস্হাকের ঈশ্বর ও যাকোবের ঈশ্বর?’
But concerning the dead, that they rise: have you not read in the book of Musha, how from the bush Aloha said to him, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Ishok, and the God of Jacub?
27 তিনি মৃতদের ঈশ্বর নন, তিনি জীবিতদের ঈশ্বর। তোমরা চরম বিভ্রান্তিতে আছ।”
And Aloha is not of the dead, but of the living. You therefore do greatly err.
28 শাস্ত্রবিদদের মধ্যে একজন এসে তাদের তর্কবিতর্ক করতে শুনলেন। যীশু তাদের ভালো উত্তর দিয়েছেন লক্ষ্য করে তিনি তাঁকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, “সব আজ্ঞার মধ্যে কোনটি সর্বাপেক্ষা মহৎ?”
AND one from the Sophree approached and heard how they disputed, and, perceiving that he had well rendered to them the answer, inquired of him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 যীশু উত্তর দিলেন, “সব থেকে মহৎ আজ্ঞাটি হল এই, ‘হে ইস্রায়েল শোনো, আমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু, একই প্রভু।
Jeshu saith to him, The first of all the commandments (is), Hear, Israel, The Lord our Aloha is one Lord:
30 তুমি তোমার সমস্ত হৃদয়, তোমার সমস্ত প্রাণ, তোমার সমস্ত মন ও তোমার সমস্ত শক্তি দিয়ে তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুকে প্রেম করবে।’
and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 দ্বিতীয়টি হল, ‘তোমার প্রতিবেশীকে নিজের মতোই প্রেম করবে।’ এগুলির থেকে আর বড়ো কোনও আজ্ঞা নেই।”
And the second, which is like it, (is) that thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Another commandment greater than these there is not.
32 “গুরুমহাশয়, আপনি বেশ বলেছেন,” শাস্ত্রবিদ উত্তর দিলেন। “আপনি যথার্থই বলেছেন যে, ঈশ্বর একই প্রভু এবং তিনি ছাড়া আর অন্য কেউ নেই।
That Sophra said to him, Well, Rabi, and truly hast thou spoken: for One there is and no other than He:
33 সমস্ত হৃদয়, সমস্ত উপলব্ধি ও সমস্ত শক্তি দিয়ে ঈশ্বরকে ভালোবাসা এবং তোমার প্রতিবেশীকে নিজের মতো প্রেম করা, সমস্ত হোম ও বলিদানের চেয়েও বেশি মহত্ত্বপূর্ণ।”
and that a man love Him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and that he love his neighbour as himself, is better than all burnt-offerings and sacrifices.
34 যীশু দেখলেন, তিনি বিজ্ঞতার সঙ্গে উত্তর দিয়েছেন, তাই তিনি তাকে বললেন, “ঈশ্বরের রাজ্য থেকে তুমি দূরে নও।” সেই সময় থেকে কেউ তাঁকে আর কোনো প্রশ্ন করতে সাহস পেল না।
Jeshu, seeing that he had wisely returned the word, answered and said to him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of Aloha. And no man dared again to question him.
35 মন্দির-প্রাঙ্গণে শিক্ষা দেওয়ার সময় যীশু জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, “শাস্ত্রবিদরা কী করে বলে যে, খ্রীষ্ট দাউদের পুত্র?
And Jeshu answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the Sophree that the Meshicha is son of David?
36 দাউদ স্বয়ং পবিত্র আত্মার আবেশে একথা ঘোষণা করেছেন, “‘প্রভু আমার প্রভুকে বললেন, “তুমি আমার ডানদিকে বসো, যতক্ষণ না তোমার শত্রুদের আমি তোমার পদানত করি।”’
For David himself saith by the Spirit of Holiness, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I set thy adversaries a footstool beneath thy feet.
37 স্বয়ং দাউদ তাঁকে ‘প্রভু’ বলে অভিহিত করেছেন, তাহলে কীভাবে তিনি তাঁর সন্তান হতে পারেন?” বিস্তর লোক আনন্দের সঙ্গে তাঁর কথা শুনছিল।
David therefore himself calleth him My Lord; and how is he then his son? And all the multitude heard him gladly.
38 শিক্ষা দেওয়ার সময় যীশু তাদের বললেন, “শাস্ত্রবিদদের সম্পর্কে সতর্ক থেকো। তারা লম্বা লম্বা পোশাক পরে ঘুরে বেড়াতে ও হাটেবাজারে সম্ভাষিত হতে ভালোবাসে।
And in his doctrine he said to them, Beware of the Sophree, who will to walk in long robes, and love the shaloma in public places,
39 তারা সমাজভবনে সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ আসন পেতে ও ভোজসভায় সব থেকে সম্মানজনক আসন লাভ করতে ভালোবাসে।
and the chief seats in the congregations, and the head couches at suppers:
40 তারা বিধবাদের বাড়িশুদ্ধ গ্রাস করে এবং লোক-দেখানো লম্বা লম্বা প্রার্থনা করে। এই ধরনের লোকেরা কঠোর শাস্তি ভোগ করবে।”
they who devour the houses of widows, and for the occasion prolong their prayers: they shall receive the greater judgment.
41 যেখানে দান সংগ্রহ করা হচ্ছিল, যীশু তার উল্টোদিকে বসে দেখছিলেন, লোকেরা কীভাবে মন্দিরের ভাণ্ডারে অর্থ দান করছে। বহু ধনী ব্যক্তি প্রচুর সব মুদ্রা সেখানে রাখছিল।
AND as Jeshu sat before the house of treasure, he beheld how the multitude cast money into the place of treasure; and many rich threw in much.
42 কিন্তু একজন দরিদ্র বিধবা এসে তার মধ্যে খুব ছোটো দুটি তামার পয়সা রাখল, যার মূল্য সিকি পয়সা মাত্র।
And there came a certain poor widow, and threw in two menin, which are a shemona.
43 যীশু তাঁর শিষ্যদের কাছে ডেকে বললেন, “আমি তোমাদের সত্যিই বলছি, এই দরিদ্র বিধবা, অন্য সবার চেয়ে বেশি অর্থ ভাণ্ডারে দিয়েছে।
And Jeshu called to his disciples, and said to them, Amen I tell you, That this poor widow more than all the men who throw hath thrown into the house of treasure.
44 তারা সবাই তাদের প্রাচুর্য থেকে দান করেছে, কিন্তু সে তার দরিদ্রতা সত্ত্বেও, তার বেঁচে থাকার জন্য যা কিছু ছিল, তা থেকে সর্বস্ব দিয়ে দিয়েছে।”
For all they from what is (super)abundant to them have thrown (in), but this from her deficiency all whatever she had; she hath thrown in her whole possession.
