লেবীয় বই 22

1 সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে বললেন,

The Lord told Moses,

2 “হারোণ ও তার ছেলেদের তুমি জানিয়ে দাও, আমার উদ্দেশে ইস্রায়েলীদের উৎসর্গীকৃত পবিত্র উপহারগুলির প্রতি তারা যেন সম্মান প্রদর্শন করে এবং আমার পবিত্র নাম তারা যেন অপবিত্র না করে। আমি সদাপ্রভু।

“Tell Aaron and his sons to be dedicated when dealing with the holy offerings that the Israelites have dedicated to me, so that they don't dishonor my holy character. I am the Lord.

3 “তাদের বলো, ‘আগামী প্রজন্মগুলিতে তোমাদের বংশধরদের মধ্যে কেউ যদি আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে অশুচি থাকে এবং তবুও সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে ইস্রায়েলীদের উৎসর্গীকৃত পবিত্র উপহারগুলির কাছে সে আসে, তাহলে আমার সামনে থেকে সেই ব্যক্তি উচ্ছিন্ন হবে। আমি সদাপ্রভু।

Tell them: These rules apply for all future generations. If any of your descendants in an unclean state comes close to the holy offerings that the Israelites dedicate to honor the Lord, that person must be expelled from my presence. I am the Lord.

4 “‘যদি হারোণের কোনো এক বংশধরের সংক্রামক চর্মরোগ অথবা দেহের ক্ষরণ থাকে, পবিত্র নৈবেদ্য সে ভোজন করবে না, যতক্ষণ না সে শুচি হয়। সে অশুচি হবে, যদি মৃতদেহ দ্বারা কলুষিত কোনো বস্তু অথবা বীর্য নির্গমিত ব্যক্তিকে স্পর্শ করে;

If one of Aaron's descendants has a skin disease or a discharge, he is not allowed to eat the holy offerings until he is clean. Anyone who touches anything made unclean by a dead body or by a man who has had a release of semen,

5 অথবা যদি সে কোনো সরীসৃপকে স্পর্শ করে, সেই স্পর্শে সে অশুচি হবে, অথবা সে কোনো অশুচিতায় কোনো অশুচি মানুষের স্পর্শে সে অশুচি হবে।

or anyone who touches an unclean animal or an unclean person, (whatever the uncleanness is),

6 এই ধরনের দ্রব্যকে যে কেউ স্পর্শ করবে, সে সন্ধ্যা পর্যন্ত অশুচি বিবেচিত হবে। সে কোনো পবিত্র নৈবেদ্য ভোজন করতেই পারবে না, যতক্ষণ না জলে স্নান করছে।

anyone who touches anything like this will remain unclean until evening. He is not allowed to eat from the holy offerings unless he has washed himself with water.

7 সূর্য অস্ত গেলে সে শুচিশুদ্ধ হবে এবং এরপরে পবিত্র নৈবেদ্য সে ভোজন করতে পারবে; কেননা সেগুলি তার খাদ্য।

At sunset he will become clean, and then he is allowed to eat from the holy offerings because they provide his food.

8 কোনো মৃত অথবা বন্যপশু দ্বারা ছিন্ন-বিচ্ছিন্ন কোনো প্রাণী সে কখনও ভোজন করবে না এবং এইভাবে নিজে অশুচি হবে না। আমি সদাপ্রভু।

He must not eat anything that's died, or killed by wild animals, because that would make him unclean. I am the Lord.

9 “‘যাজকেরা আমার চাহিদাগুলি পূরণ করবে, যেন অপরাধী না হয় এবং সেগুলিকে অবজ্ঞা করে মারা না যায়। আমি সদাপ্রভু, যিনি তাদের পবিত্র করেন।

The priests must do as I demand, so that they don't become guilty and die because they have not done so, treating my requirements with contempt. I am the Lord who makes them holy.

10 “‘যাজকীয় পরিবারের বহির্ভূত কেউ পবিত্র নৈবেদ্য ভোজন করতে পারবে না, অথবা যাজকের কোনো অতিথি কিংবা বেতনজীবী কর্মী এই খাদ্যের অংশীদার হবে না।

Anyone who isn't part of a priest's family is not allowed eat the holy offerings. This also applies to a priest's guest or his paid worker.

11 কিন্তু যদি যাজক টাকা দিয়ে এক ক্রীতদাস ক্রয় করে, অথবা তার বাড়িতে কোনো ক্রীতদাসের জন্ম হয়, তাহলে ক্রীতদাস সেই খাদ্য ভোজন করতে পারে।

However, if a priest uses his own money to buy a slave, or if a slave is born in the priest's household, then that slave is allowed to eat his food.

12 যদি যাজকের একটি মেয়ে যাজকের পরিবর্তে অন্য একজনকে বিয়ে করে, তাহলে মেয়েটি কোনো পবিত্র নৈবেদ্য ভোজন করবে না।

If the priest's daughter gets married to a man who isn't a priest, she is not allowed to eat the holy offerings.

13 কিন্তু যাজকের মেয়ে যদি বিধবা হয়, অথবা তার বিবাহবিচ্ছেদ হয়ে থাকে, অথচ সন্তান না থাকে এবং তার যৌবন থাকাকালীন বাবার বাড়িতে বসবাস করতে সে ফিরে আসে, তাহলে সে তার বাবার খাদ্য ভোজন করবে। অন্যদিকে, কোনো অস্বীকৃত মানুষ ভোজন করতে পারবে না।

But if a priest's daughter without children is widowed or divorced and goes back to her father's house, she is allowed to eat her father's food as she did when she was growing up. But no one outside the priest's family can eat it.

14 “‘যদি কেউ ভুলবশত পবিত্র নৈবেদ্য ভোজন করে, তাহলে ওই নৈবেদ্যের পক্ষে সে যাজককে ক্ষতিপূরণ দেবে। খাদ্যমানের পঞ্চমাংশ সে সংযোজিত করবে।

Anyone who eats a holy offering by mistake must pay compensation by adding a fifth to its value, and give it all to the priest.

15 সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে ইস্রায়েলীদের উৎসর্গীকৃত পবিত্র নৈবেদ্য যাজক কিছুতেই কালিমালিপ্ত করবে না,

The priests must not make the holy offerings the Israelites present to the Lord unclean

16 পবিত্র খাদ্য লোকদের ভোজন করতে দেবে না, যেন এর বিনিময়ে তাদের ওপরে অপরাধ না বর্তায়। আমি সদাপ্রভু, যিনি তাদের পবিত্র করেন।’”

by allowing the people to eat them and in so doing take upon themselves the punishment for guilt. For I am the Lord who makes them holy.”

17 সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে বললেন,

The Lord told Moses,

18 “হারোণ, তার সব ছেলেদের ও সব ইস্রায়েলীর সঙ্গে তুমি কথা বলো এবং তাদের জানাও, ‘যদি তোমাদের কেউ, কিংবা ইস্রায়েলের কোনো একজন অথবা ইস্রায়েলে বসবাসকারী কোনো প্রবাসী মানত পূরণে অথবা স্বেচ্ছাদত্ত উপহাররূপে সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে হোমার্থক বলি উৎসর্গ করে,

“Tell Aaron, his sons and all the Israelites: If you or foreigner living with you wants to make a gift as a burnt offering to the Lord, whether it's to fulfill a promise or as a freewill offering, this is what you are to do.

19 তাহলে একটি নির্দোষ বলদ, অথবা পুংমেষ কিংবা পুংছাগ তোমরা অবশ্যই উৎসর্গ করবে, যেন তোমাদের পক্ষে এই উৎসর্গ গৃহীত হয়।

If it is to be accepted on your behalf you must offer a male without defects from the herds of cattle, sheep, or goats.

20 খুঁতযুক্ত কোনো কিছু আনবে না, অন্যথায় তোমাদের পক্ষে তা গৃহীত হবে না।

Don't present anything with a defect because it won't be accepted on your behalf.

21 যখন কেউ কোনো মানত পূরণ করার জন্য অথবা স্বেচ্ছাদত্ত উপহারস্বরূপ সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে ষাঁড় অথবা মেষ মঙ্গলার্থক বলিদানরূপে আনে, সেটি গৃহীত হওয়ার জন্য যেন নির্দোষ বা নিষ্কলঙ্ক হয়।

If you want to present a peace offering to the Lord from the herd or flock to fulfill a promise or as a freewill offering, in order to be acceptable the animal must be perfect, completely without defects.

22 সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে অন্ধ, আহত, অথবা বিকলাঙ্গ, কিংবা আবযুক্ত অথবা পুঁজযুক্ত ক্ষতবিশিষ্ট কোনো কিছু আনবে না। সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে এই ধরনের কোনো দোষযুক্ত পশু হোমার্থক বলিরূপে বেদিতে রাখবে না।

Don't present to the Lord an animal that is blind, injured, or damaged in some way, or has warts, skin sores, or scabs. Don't place any animal that has these on the altar as a food offering to the Lord.

23 অন্যদিকে, একটি গরু অথবা একটি মেষ স্বেচ্ছাদত্ত উপহাররূপে উৎসর্গ করতে পারো, এগুলি বিকলাঙ্গ অথবা বুদ্ধিবিহীন বিশিষ্ট হতে পারে, কিন্তু কোনো মানত পূরণের জন্য এই উপহার গৃহীত হবে না।

However, you can present a freewill offering of a bull or sheep that has a leg that is too long or too short, but not if it is a sacrifice to fulfill a promise.

24 সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে এমন কোনো পশু উৎসর্গ করবে না, যার অণ্ডকোষ থেঁতলানো, চূর্ণ অথবা বিদীর্ণ। তোমাদের দেশে তোমরা এই কাজ কখনও করবে না।

Don't present to the Lord an animal with testicles that are accidentally or deliberately damaged. You are not allowed to sacrifice any of these damaged animals in your land.

25 কোনো বিদেশির নিকট থেকে এই ধরনের পশু তোমরা কখনও গ্রহণ করবে না এবং ভক্ষ-নৈবেদ্য স্বরূপ তোমার ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশে উৎসর্গ করবে না। তোমাদের পক্ষে সেগুলি গৃহীত হবে না, কারণ সেগুলি বিকৃত ও খুঁতযুক্ত।’”

Nor are you allowed to accept such animals from a foreigner to be damaged and defective.”

26 সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে বললেন,

The Lord told Moses,

27 “যখন কোনো বাছুর, মেষশাবক অথবা ছাগল জন্মাবে, তার মায়ের সঙ্গে তাকে সাত দিন থাকতে হবে। অষ্টম দিন থেকে ওই শাবক হোমার্থক বলিরূপে সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে গৃহীত হবে।

“When a bull, a sheep, or a goat is born, it must stay with its mother for seven days. After eight days it can be accepted as a food offering to the Lord.

28 একই দিনে কোনো গরু অথবা মেষ ও তার শাবককে হত্যা করবে না।

However, don't kill a bull or a sheep and its young on the same day.

29 “যখন সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে তোমরা ধন্যবাদের উপহার বলি দেবে, এমনভাবে সেই বলি দিতে হবে, যেন তোমাদের পক্ষে তা গৃহীত হয়।

When you present a thank offering to the Lord, make sure to do so in a way that it will be accepted on your behalf.

30 বলিদানের মাংস সেদিনই ভোজন করতে হবে; সকাল পর্যন্ত কিছু অবশিষ্ট রেখো না। আমি সদাপ্রভু।

It has to be eaten on the same day. Don't leave any of it until morning. I am the Lord.

31 “আমার সব আদেশ পালন করো এবং সেগুলি অনুসরণ করো। আমি সদাপ্রভু।

Keep my rules and put them into practice. I am the Lord.

32 আমার পবিত্র নাম অপবিত্র করবে না। ইস্রায়েলীদের দ্বারা পবিত্ররূপে আমাকে স্বীকৃতি পেতেই হবে। আমি সদাপ্রভু, যিনি তোমাদের পবিত্র করেন

Don't disgrace my holy character. I must be accepted as holy by you. I am the Lord who makes you holy.

33 এবং যিনি মিশর থেকে তোমাদের বের করে এনেছেন, যেন তোমাদের ঈশ্বর হন। আমি সদাপ্রভু।”

I am the one who led you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the Lord.”
