1 অতএব এই তিনজন ইয়োবকে আর কোনও উত্তর দিলেন না, যেহেতু তিনি নিজের দৃষ্টিতে নিজেকে ধার্মিক বলে মনে করেছিলেন।
So these three men ceased to respond to Job, because, he, was righteous in their eyes.
2 কিন্তু রামের পরিবারভুক্ত বূষীয় বারখেলের ছেলে ইলীহূ ইয়োবের উপরে খুব ক্রুদ্ধ হলেন, যেহেতু ইয়োব ঈশ্বরের তুলনায় নিজেকে বেশি ধার্মিক বলে মনে করেছিলেন।
Then was kindled the anger of Elihu, son of Barachel the Buzite of the family of Ram, —against Job, was kindled his anger, because he justified his own soul rather than God;
3 তিনি ইয়োবের তিন বন্ধুর উপরেও ক্রুদ্ধ হলেন, যেহেতু তারা কোনোভাবেই ইয়োবকে মিথ্যা প্রমাণিত করতে পারেননি, তবুও তাঁর উপরে দোষারোপ করেছিলেন।
and, against his three friends, was kindled his anger, —because that they found not a response, and condemned God.
4 এদিকে ইলীহূ ইয়োবের সাথে কথা বলার আগে অপেক্ষা করছিলেন, যেহেতু তারা সবাই বয়সে তাঁর চেয়ে বড়ো ছিলেন।
But, Elihu, had waited for Job with words, because the others were older than he.
5 কিন্তু তিনি যখন দেখলেন যে সেই তিনজনের বলার আর কিছুই নেই, তখন তিনি ক্রোধে ফেটে পড়লেন।
Howbeit, when Elihu saw that there was no response in the mouth of the three men, then was kindled his anger.
6 অতএব বূষীয় বারখেলের ছেলে ইলীহূ বললেন: “আমি বয়সে তরুণ, ও আপনারা প্রবীণ; তাই আমার ভয় হয়েছিল, আমি যা জানি তা আপনাদের বলার সাহস পাইনি।
So then Elihu, son of Barachel, the Buzite, responded and said: —Young, am I, whereas, ye, are aged, For this cause, I faltered, and feared—to shew my knowledge unto you:
7 আমি ভেবেছিলাম, ‘বয়সই কথা বলুক; পরিণত বছরগুলিই প্রজ্ঞা শিক্ষা দিক।’
I said, Days, should speak, —and, the multitude of years, should make known wisdom.
8 কিন্তু একজন ব্যক্তির মধ্যে উপস্থিত আত্মা, সর্বশক্তিমানের শ্বাসই তাদের বুদ্ধি-বিবেচনা দান করে।
Yet surely, there is a spirit in men, and, the inspiration of the Almighty, giveth them understanding;
9 যারা বয়সে প্রাচীন তারাই যে শুধু জ্ঞানবান, তা নয়, বয়স্করাই যে শুধু যা সমুচিত তা বোঝেন, এরকম নয়।
Great men, may not be wise, nor, elders, understand justice.
10 “তাই আমি বলছি: আমার কথা শুনুন; আমি যা জানি তা আমিও আপনাদের বলব।
Therefore, I said, Hearken unto me, I will show my knowledge—even I.
11 আপনারা যখন কথা বলছিলেন, আমি তখন অপেক্ষা করেছিলাম, আমি আপনাদের যুক্তি শুনছিলাম; আপনারা যখন শব্দ খুঁজছিলেন,
Lo! I waited for your words, I kept giving ear for your reasons, until ye should search out what to say;
12 আমি তখন গভীর মনোযোগ দিয়ে আপনাদের কথা শুনছিলাম। কিন্তু আপনাদের মধ্যে একজনও ইয়োবকে ভ্রান্ত প্রমাণ করতে পারেননি; আপনাদের মধ্যে কেউই তাঁর যুক্তির উত্তর দিতে পারেননি।
Yea, unto you, gave I diligent heed, —But lo! there was, for Job, nothing to convince, nor could you of you answer his speeches.
13 বলবেন না, ‘আমরা প্রজ্ঞা খুঁজে পেয়েছি; মানুষ নয়, ঈশ্বরই তাঁকে মিথ্যা প্রমাণিত করুন।’
Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom. GOD, must put him to flight, not man.
14 কিন্তু ইয়োব আমার বিরুদ্ধে তাঁর শব্দগুলি বিন্যাস সহকারে সাজাননি, ও আপনাদের যুক্তি দিয়ে আমিও তাঁকে উত্তর দেব না।
Since he directed not to me discourse, therefore, with your speeches, will I not reply to him.
15 “তারা ভীতসন্ত্রস্ত হয়ে পড়লেন ও তাদের আর কিছুই বলার ছিল না; তাদের শব্দ হারিয়ে গিয়েছিল।
They were dismayed, they responded no more, they suffered speech to forsake them;
16 আমি কি অপেক্ষা করব, এখন তারা যখন নীরব হয়ে আছেন, এখন তারা যখন সেখানে নিরুত্তর অবস্থায় দাঁড়িয়ে আছেন?
Though I waited, yet could they not speak, Surely they came to a stand, they responded no more.
17 আমারও কিছু বলার আছে; আমি যা জানি তা আমিও বলব।
I will respond, even I—on my part, I will shew my knowledge, even I!
18 যেহেতু আমি কথায় পরিপূর্ণ, ও আমার অন্তরাত্মা আমাকে বাধ্য করছে;
For I am full of discourse, The spirit in my bosom, presseth me on.
19 ভিতর থেকে আমি বোতলে ভরা দ্রাক্ষারস, দ্রাক্ষারসে ভরা নতুন মশকের মতো, যা ফেটে পড়তে চলেছে।
Lo! my bosom, is like wine not opened, Like new wine-skins, it will burst.
20 আমাকে কথা বলতে ও উপশম পেতে হবে; ঠোঁট খুলে আমাকে উত্তর দিতে হবে।
I will speak, that I may freely breathe, I will open my lips and respond.
21 আমি কোনও পক্ষপাতিত্ব দেখাব না, কাউকে তোষামোদও করব না;
Let me be partial to no man, and, unto no son of earth, give flattering titles,
22 যেহেতু আমি যদি তোষামোদিতে পারদর্শী হতাম, তবে আমার নির্মাতা অচিরেই আমাকে নিয়ে চলে যেতেন।
Surely I know not how to give flattering titles, How soon might my Maker take me away!
