যিরমিয়ের বই 52

1 সিদিকিয় একুশ বছর বয়সে রাজা হন। তিনি এগারো বছর জেরুশালেমে রাজত্ব করেন। তাঁর মা ছিলেন লিব্‌না নিবাসী যিরমিয়ের কন্যা হমূটল।

Zedekiah [is] a son of twenty-one years in his reigning, and he has reigned eleven years in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

2 তিনি সদাপ্রভুর দৃষ্টিতে কেবলই মন্দ কাজ করতেন, যেমন যিহোয়াকীমও করেছিলেন।

And he does evil in the eyes of YHWH, according to all that Jehoiakim has done,

3 সদাপ্রভুর ক্রোধের কারণেই জেরুশালেম ও যিহূদার প্রতি এসব কিছু ঘটেছিল, এবং শেষ পর্যন্ত তিনি তাদের তাঁর উপস্থিতি থেকে ধাক্কা মেরে দূরে সরিয়ে দিলেন। ইত্যবসরে সিদিকিয় ব্যাবিলনের রাজার বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্রোহ করে বসেছিলেন।

for because of the anger of YHWH, it has been in Jerusalem and Judah until He has cast them from before His face, and Zedekiah rebels against the king of Babylon.

4 তাই, সিদিকিয়ের রাজত্বের নবম বছরে, ব্যাবিলনের রাজা নেবুখাদনেজার, তাঁর সমস্ত সৈন্য নিয়ে জেরুশালেমের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধযাত্রা করলেন। তারা নগরের বাইরে শিবির স্থাপন করে তার চারপাশে অবরোধ গড়ে তুললেন।

And it comes to pass, in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth of the month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has come—he and all his force—against Jerusalem, and they encamp against it, and build against it a fortification all around;

5 রাজা সিদিকিয়ের রাজত্বের এগারোতম বছর পর্যন্ত নগর অবরুদ্ধ রইল।

and the city comes into siege until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.

6 চতুর্থ মাসের নবম দিনে নগরের দুর্ভিক্ষ এত চরম আকার নিয়েছিল, যে সেখানকার লোকজনের কাছে কোনও খাবারদাবার ছিল না।

In the fourth month, on the ninth of the month, when the famine is severe in the city, and there has been no bread for the people of the land,

7 পরে নগরের প্রাচীর ভেঙে ফেলা হল, এবং রাতের বেলায় গোটা সৈন্যদল রাজার বাগানের কাছে থাকা দুটি প্রাচীরের মাঝখানে অবস্থিত দরজা দিয়ে পালিয়ে গেল, যদিও ব্যাবিলনের সৈন্যসামন্ত কিন্তু নগরটি ঘিরে রেখেছিল। তারা অরাবার দিকে পালিয়ে গেল,

then the city is broken up, and all the men of war flee, and go forth from the city by night, the way of the gate between the two walls that [is] by the king’s garden—and the Chaldeans [are] by the city all around—and they go the way of the plain.

8 কিন্তু ব্যাবিলনের সৈন্যদল রাজা সিদিকিয়ের পিছনে তাড়া করে গেল এবং যিরীহোর সমভূমিতে তাঁর নাগাল পেল। তাঁর সমস্ত সৈন্য তাঁর কাছ থেকে পৃথক হয়ে ছড়িয়ে পড়ল,

And the forces of the Chaldeans pursue after the king, and overtake Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho, and all his forces have been scattered from him,

9 আর তিনি ধৃত হলেন। তাঁকে ধরে হমাৎ দেশের রিব্‌লায় ব্যাবিলনের রাজার কাছে নিয়ে যাওয়া হল। সেখানে তিনি তাঁর শাস্তি ঘোষণা করলেন।

and they capture the king, and bring him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah, in the land of Hamath, and he speaks with him—judgments.

10 সেখানে রিব্‌লায়, ব্যাবিলনের রাজা সিদিকিয়ের চোখের সামনেই তাঁর পুত্রদের হত্যা করলেন; তিনি যিহূদার রাজকর্মচারীদেরও হত্যা করলেন।

And the king of Babylon slaughters the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and he has also slaughtered all the princes of Judah in Riblah;

11 তারপর তিনি সিদিকিয়ের দুই চোখ উপড়ে নিলেন, তাঁকে পিতলের শিকলে বাঁধলেন এবং ব্যাবিলনে নিয়ে গেলেন। সেখানে তিনি তাঁকে আমরণ পর্যন্ত কারাগারে নিক্ষেপ করলেন।

and he has blinded the eyes of Zedekiah, and he binds him in bronze chains, and the king of Babylon brings him to Babylon, and puts him in the house of inspection to the day of his death.

12 ব্যাবিলনের রাজা নেবুখাদনেজারের রাজত্বের উনিশতম বছরের পঞ্চম মাসের দশম দিনে, রাজরক্ষীদলের সেনাপতি নবূষরদন, যিনি ব্যাবিলনের রাজার সেবা করতেন, জেরুশালেমে এলেন।

And in the fifth month, on the tenth of the month—it [is] the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon—Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, has come; he has stood before the king of Babylon in Jerusalem,

13 তিনি সদাপ্রভুর মন্দিরে, রাজপ্রাসাদে এবং জেরুশালেমের সব বাড়িতে আগুন লাগিয়ে দিলেন। প্রত্যেকটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ঘরবাড়ি তিনি পুড়িয়ে ছাই করে দিলেন।

and he burns the house of YHWH, and the house of the king, and all the houses of Jerusalem—even every great house he has burned with fire,

14 রাজরক্ষীদলের সেনাপতির অধীনস্থ সমস্ত ব্যাবিলনীয় সৈন্য জেরুশালেমের চারপাশের প্রাচীরগুলি ভেঙে ফেলল।

and all the forces of the Chaldeans that [are] with the chief of the executioners have broken down all the walls of Jerusalem.

15 রক্ষীদলের সেনাপতি নবূষরদন, নগরের অবশিষ্ট দরিদ্রতম ব্যক্তিদের কয়েকজনকে, ইতর শ্রেণীর মানুষদের ও যারা ব্যাবিলনের রাজার পক্ষ নিয়েছিল, তাদের সবাইকে ব্যাবিলনে নির্বাসিত করলেন।

And of the poor of the people, and the remnant of the people who are left in the city, and those who are defecting, who have defected to the king of Babylon, and the remnant of the multitude, Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, has removed;

16 কিন্তু দেশের অবশিষ্ট দীনদরিদ্র ব্যক্তিদের নবূষরদন দ্রাক্ষাকুঞ্জ ও মাঠগুলিতে কৃষিকর্ম করার জন্য রেখে দিলেন।

and of the poor of the land, Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, has left for vinedressers and for farmers.

17 ব্যাবিলনীয়েরা সদাপ্রভুর মন্দিরের পিতলের দুটি স্তম্ভ, স্থানান্তরযোগ্য গামলা বসাবার পাত্রগুলি ও পিতলের সমুদ্রপাত্রটি ভেঙে খণ্ড খণ্ড করল, আর তারা সেগুলির সব পিতল ব্যাবিলনে নিয়ে গেল।

And the pillars of bronze that [are] in the house of YHWH, and the bases, and the bronze sea that [is] in the house of YHWH, the Chaldeans have broken, and they carry away all the bronze of them to Babylon;

18 এছাড়াও তারা হাঁড়ি, বেলচা, সলতে ছাঁটার যন্ত্র, রক্ত ছিটানোর বাটিগুলি, থালা ও মন্দিরের সেবাকাজে যেগুলি ব্যবহৃত হত, ব্রোঞ্জের সেইসব জিনিসপত্রও তুলে নিয়ে গেল।

and the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of bronze with which they minister, they have taken away;

19 রাজরক্ষীদলের সেনাপতি সব গামলা, ধুনুচি, রক্ত ছিটানোর গামলাগুলি, বিভিন্ন পাত্র, দীপবৃক্ষগুলি, থালাগুলি এবং পেয়-নৈবেদ্য উৎসর্গ করার পাত্রগুলি—যত সোনা ও রুপোর তৈরি জিনিস ছিল, তাঁর সঙ্গে নিয়ে গেলেন।

and the basins, and the fire-pans, and the bowls, and the pots, and the lampstands, and the spoons, and the cups, the gold of that which [is] gold, and the silver of that which [is] silver, the chief of the executioners has taken.

20 দুটি পিতলের থাম, সমুদ্রপাত্র ও তার নিচে অবস্থিত বারোটি পিতলের বলদ, স্থানান্তরযোগ্য গামলা রাখার জিনিসগুলি, যেগুলি রাজা শলোমন সদাপ্রভুর মন্দিরের জন্য নির্মাণ করেছিলেন, সেগুলির পিতল অপরিমেয় ছিল।

The two pillars, the one sea, and the twelve bronze oxen that [are] beneath the bases, that King Solomon made for the house of YHWH, there was no weighing of the bronze of all these vessels.

21 প্রত্যেকটি স্তম্ভ ছিল আঠারো হাত উঁচু এবং পরিধি ছিল বারো হাত; প্রত্যেকটি ছিল চার আঙুল পুরু এবং ফাঁপা।

As for the pillars, eighteen cubits [is] the height of the one pillar, and a cord of twelve cubits goes around it, and its thickness [is] four fingers hollow.

22 স্তম্ভের উপরে মাথার দিকটি ছিল পাঁচ হাত উঁচু এবং সেটি চারপাশে ব্রোঞ্জের জালি ও ব্রোঞ্জের ডালিম দিয়ে সুসজ্জিত ছিল। অন্য স্তম্ভটিও, এটির মতোই একই ধরনের ছিল।

And the capital on it [is] of bronze, and the height of the one capital [is] five cubits, and network and pomegranates [are] on the capital all around, the whole [is] of bronze; and like these—the second pillar—and pomegranates.

23 চারপাশের ডালিমের সংখ্যা ছিল ছিয়ানব্বই এবং উপরের দিকের মোট ডালিমের সংখ্যা ছিল একশো।

And the pomegranates are ninety-six on a side, all the pomegranates [are] one hundred on the network all around.

24 রক্ষীদলের সেনাপতি মহাযাজক সরায়কে, পদাধিকারবলে তাঁর পরে যিনি ছিলেন, সেই যাজক সফনিয়কে ও তিনজন দারোয়ানকে বন্দি করে নিয়ে গেলেন।

And the chief of the executioners takes Seraiah the head priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the threshold,

25 যারা তখনও নগরে থেকে গিয়েছিল, তাদের মধ্যে যোদ্ধাদের উপরে নিযুক্ত কর্মকর্তাকে ও সাতজন রাজকীয় পরামর্শদাতাদের ধরলেন। এছাড়া তিনি সচিবকে ধরলেন, যিনি ছিলেন দেশের লোকদের সৈন্যদলে নিযুক্ত করার জন্য ভারপ্রাপ্ত ব্যক্তি এবং তাঁর অধীনস্থ ষাটজন লোক, যাদের নগরে পাওয়া গেল, তাদেরও নিয়ে গেলেন।

and he has taken a certain eunuch out of the city, who has been inspector over the men of war, and seven men of those seeing the king’s face, who have been found in the city, and the head scribe of the host, who musters the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land, who are found in the midst of the city;

26 সেনাপতি নবূষরদন তাদের সবাইকে ধরে রিব্‌লাতে ব্যাবিলনের রাজার কাছে নিয়ে এলেন।

and Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, takes them, and brings them to the king of Babylon at Riblah,

27 হমাৎ দেশের রিব্‌লাতে ব্যাবিলনের রাজা প্রাণদণ্ডে দণ্ডিত এই লোকদের বধ করলেন। অতএব যিহূদা তার দেশ থেকে নির্বাসিত হল।

and the king of Babylon strikes them, and puts them to death in Riblah, in the land of Hamath, and he removes Judah from off its own ground.

28 নেবুখাদনেজার যাদের নির্বাসনে নিয়ে যান, তাদের সংখ্যা এরকম: সপ্তম বছরে 3,023 জন ইহুদি;

This [is] the people whom Nebuchadnezzar has removed: in the seventh year, of Jews, three thousand and twenty-three;

29 নেবুখাদনেজারের রাজত্বের আঠারোতম বছরে জেরুশালেম থেকে 832 জন;

in the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar—from Jerusalem—eight hundred thirty-two souls;

30 তাঁর রাজত্বের তেইশতম বছরে, রাজরক্ষীদলের সেনাপতি নবূষরদন, 745 জন ইহুদিকে নির্বাসনে নিয়ে যান। লোকদের সর্বমোট সংখ্যা ছিল 4,600 জন।

in the twenty-third year of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the guard, has removed of Jewish souls, seven hundred forty-five; all the souls [are] four thousand and six hundred.

31 যিহূদার রাজা যিহোয়াখীনের বন্দিত্বের সাঁইত্রিশতম বছরে, দ্বাদশ মাসের পঁচিশতম দিনে, ইবিল-মরোদক যে বছরে ব্যাবিলনের রাজা হন, তিনি যিহূদার রাজা যিহোয়াখীনকে মুক্তি দিলেন। তিনি তাঁকে কারাগার থেকে মুক্ত করলেন।

And it comes to pass, in the thirty-seventh year of the expulsion of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-fifth of the month, Evil-Merodach king of Babylon has lifted up, in the year of his reign, the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brings him out from the house of restraint,

32 তিনি যিহোয়াখীনের সাথে সদয় ভঙ্গিতে কথা বললেন এবং ব্যাবিলনে তাঁর সাথে অন্যান্য যেসব রাজা ছিলেন, তাদের তুলনায় তিনি যিহোয়াখীনকে বেশি সম্মানীয় এক আসন দিলেন।

and speaks good things with him, and sets his throne above the throne of the kings who [are] with him in Babylon,

33 তাই যিহোয়াখীন তাঁর কয়েদির পোশাক একদিকে সরিয়ে রেখেছিলেন এবং জীবনের বাকি দিনগুলি তিনি নিয়মিতভাবে রাজার টেবিলেই বসে ভোজনপান করলেন।

and he has changed his prison garments, and he has continually eaten bread before him, all the days of his life.

34 যিহোয়াখীন যতদিন বেঁচেছিলেন, ব্যাবিলনের রাজা তাঁর মৃত্যু পর্যন্ত, তাঁকে নিয়মিতরূপে একটি ভাতা দিতেন।

And his allowance—a continual allowance—has been given to him by the king of Babylon, the matter of a day in its day, until [the] day of his death—all [the] days of his life.
