যিশাইয় ভাববাদীর বই 46
1 বেল নত হয়েছে, নেবো উপুড় হয়ে পড়েছে; তাদের প্রতিমারা ভারবাহী পশুদের উপরে বাহিত হচ্ছে। যে মূর্তিগুলি বহন করা হচ্ছে, সেগুলি পীড়াদায়ক, শ্রান্ত-ক্লান্ত লোকেদের পক্ষে তারা বোঝাস্বরূপ।
Bel is bowed down, Nebo bendeth; their idols are upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: the things ye carried are laid on, a burden to the weary [beast].
2 তারা একসঙ্গে উপুড় হয়ে নত হয়েছে; তারা সেই বোঝা বহন করতে অক্ষম, তারা নিজেরাই বন্দি হওয়ার জন্য নির্বাসিত হয়।
They bend, they are bowed down together; they could not deliver the burden, and themselves are gone into captivity.
3 “ওহে যাকোবের কুল, আমার কথা শোনো, তোমরাও শোনো, যারা ইস্রায়েল কুলে এখনও অবশিষ্ট আছ, গর্ভাবস্থা থেকে আমি তোমাদের ধারণ করেছি, তোমাদের জন্ম হওয়ার সময় থেকে আমি তোমাদের বহন করছি।
Hearken unto me, house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, ye who have been borne from the belly, who have been carried from the womb:
4 তোমাদের বৃদ্ধ বয়স পর্যন্ত, আমি সেই একই থাকব, তোমাদের চুল পেকে যাওয়া পর্যন্ত, আমিই তোমাদের বহন করব। আমিই সৃষ্টি করেছি, আমিই তোমাদের বহন করব; আমি তোমাদের ধরে রাখব ও তোমাদের উদ্ধার করব।
Even to old age, I [am] HE, and unto hoary hairs I will carry [you]: It is I that have made, and I will bear, and I will carry, and will deliver.
5 “তোমরা কার সঙ্গে আমার তুলনা করবে বা আমাকে কার সমতুল্য মনে করবে? তোমরা কার সদৃশ আমাকে মনে করবে যে আমাদের পরস্পর তুলনা করা হবে?
To whom will ye liken me and make me equal, or compare me, that we may be like?
6 কেউ কেউ তাদের থলি থেকে সোনা ঢালে এবং দাঁড়িপাল্লায় রুপো ওজন করে; তারা তা থেকে দেবতা নির্মাণের জন্য স্বর্ণকারকে বানি দেয়, পরে তারা তার সামনে প্রণত হয়ে তার উপাসনা করে।
— They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance; they hire a goldsmith, and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship.
7 তারা তা কাঁধে তুলে নিয়ে বহন করে; তারা স্বস্থানে তাকে স্থাপন করে এবং তা সেখানেই অবস্থান করে। সেই স্থান থেকে তা আর নড়তে পারে না। কেউ তার কাছে আর্তক্রন্দন করলেও, সে উত্তর দেয় না; তার ক্লেশ থেকে সে তাকে রক্ষা করতে পারে না।
They bear him on the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place; there he standeth, he doth not remove from his place: yea, one crieth unto him, and he answereth not; he saveth him not out of his trouble.
8 “একথা স্মরণ করো, ভুলে যেয়ো না, ওহে বিদ্রোহীকুল, এগুলি হৃদয়ে উপলব্ধি করো।
Remember this, and shew yourselves men; call it to mind, ye transgressors.
9 পূর্বের বিষয়গুলি, যা বহুপূর্বে ঘটে গিয়েছে, স্মরণ করো; আমিই ঈশ্বর, অন্য আর কেউ নয়; আমিই ঈশ্বর এবং আমার মতো আর কেউ নেই।
Remember the former things of old; for I [am] God, and there is none else; [I am] God, and there is none like me;
10 আমি শুরু থেকেই শেষের কথা বলে দিই, যা এখনও ঘটেনি, তা পুরাকাল থেকেই আমি ঘোষণা করি। আমি বলি, ‘আমার সংকল্প অবশ্যই স্থির থাকবে, আর আমি যা চাই, তা অবশ্যই পূর্ণ করব।’
declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure;
11 পূর্বদেশ থেকে আমি এক শিকারি পাখিকে ডেকে আনব; বহু দূরবর্তী দেশ থেকে একজন মানুষকে, যে আমার সংকল্প সাধন করবে। আমি যা বলেছি, তা আমি অবশ্যই করে দেখাব, আমি যা পরিকল্পনা করেছি, তা আমি অবশ্য করব।
calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. Yea, I have spoken, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
12 ওহে অনমনীয় হৃদয়ের মানুষ, তোমরা আমার কথা শোনো, তোমরা শোনো, যারা ধার্মিকতা থেকে বহুদূরে থাকো।
Hearken unto me, ye stout-hearted, that are far from righteousness:
13 আমি আমার ধর্মশীলতা কাছে নিয়ে আসছি, তা আর বেশি দূরে নেই; আমার পরিত্রাণ দেওয়ার বিলম্ব আর হবে না। আমি সিয়োনকে আমার পরিত্রাণ দেব, ইস্রায়েলকে আমার জৌলুস দেব।
I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not delay; and I will give salvation in Zion, [and] unto Israel my glory.
