যিশাইয় ভাববাদীর বই 43
1 কিন্তু এখন, সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, ওহে যাকোব, যিনি তোমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, ওহে ইস্রায়েল, যিনি তোমাকে গঠন করেছেন, “তুমি ভয় পেয়ো না, কারণ আমি তোমাকে মুক্ত করেছি; আমি নাম ধরে তোমাকে ডেকেছি; তুমি আমার।
But now thus saith Jehovah, that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee, I have called [thee] by thy name; thou art mine.
2 তুমি যখন জলরাশির মধ্য দিয়ে অতিক্রম করবে, আমি তোমার সঙ্গে থাকব; তুমি যখন নদনদীর মধ্য দিয়ে যাবে, সেগুলি তোমাকে মগ্ন করতে পারবে না। যখন তুমি আগুনের মধ্য দিয়ে যাবে, তুমি দগ্ধ হবে না; সেই আগুনের শিখা তোমাকে পুড়িয়ে ফেলবে না।
When thou passest through the waters, I [will be] with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 কারণ আমি সদাপ্রভু, তোমার ঈশ্বর, ইস্রায়েলের সেই পবিত্রতম জন, তোমার পরিত্রাতা; তোমার মুক্তিমূল্যরূপে আমি মিশরকে, তোমার পরিবর্তে আমি কূশ ও সবাকে দিয়েছি।
For I [am] Jehovah thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
4 তুমি যেহেতু আমার দৃষ্টিতে বহুমূল্য ও মর্যাদার পাত্র, আর আমি যেহেতু তোমাকে ভালোবাসি, আমি তোমার পরিবর্তে অপর মানুষজনকে দেব, তোমার জীবনের পরিবর্তে বিভিন্ন জাতিকে দেব।
Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee; and I will give men for thee, and peoples for thy life.
5 তুমি ভয় পেয়ো না, কারণ আমি তোমার সঙ্গে আছি; আমি পূর্বদিক থেকে তোমার সন্তানদের নিয়ে আসব এবং পশ্চিমদিক থেকে তোমাকে সংগ্রহ করব।
Fear not, for I [am] with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
6 আমি উত্তর দিককে বলব, ‘ওদের ছেড়ে দাও!’ দক্ষিণ দিককে বলব, ওদের আটকে রেখো না। দূর থেকে আমার পুত্রদের এবং পৃথিবীর প্রান্তসীমা থেকে আমার কন্যাদের নিয়ে এসো,
I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from afar, and my daughters from the end of the earth,
7 যারা আমার নামে আখ্যাত, যাদের আমি আমার গৌরবের জন্য সৃষ্টি করেছি, যাদের আমি গঠন করে তৈরি করেছি, তাদের নিয়ে এসো।”
every one that is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory: I have formed him, yea, I have made him.
8 তাদের বের করে আনো, যারা চোখ থাকতেও অন্ধ, কান থাকতেও বধির।
Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.
9 সব দেশ এক জায়গায় সমবেত হও এবং জাতিসমূহ জড়ো হও এক স্থানে। তাদের মধ্যে কে পূর্ব থেকে একথা বলেছিল এবং পূর্বেকার বিষয়গুলি আমাদের কাছে ঘোষণা করেছিল? নিজেদের সঠিক প্রমাণ করার জন্য তারা সাক্ষীদের নিয়ে আসুক, যেন অন্যেরা তা শুনে বলতে পারে, “একথা সত্যি।”
Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled: who among them declareth this, or causeth us to hear former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let them hear, and say, [It is] truth.
10 সদাপ্রভু বলেন, “তোমরা আমার সাক্ষী এবং আমার দাস, যাদের আমি মনোনীত করেছি, যেন তোমরা আমাকে জানতে ও বিশ্বাস করতে পারো ও বুঝতে পারো যে, আমিই তিনি। আমার পূর্বে কোনো দেবতা গঠিত হয়নি, আমার পরেও কেউ আর হবে না।
Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I [am] HE: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
11 আমি, হ্যাঁ আমিই সদাপ্রভু, আমি ছাড়া আর কোনো পরিত্রাতা নেই।
I, I [am] Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour.
12 আমিই প্রকাশ করেছি, উদ্ধার করেছি ও ঘোষণা করেছি— হ্যাঁ, আমিই করেছি, তোমাদের মধ্যে স্থিত কোনো বিজাতীয় দেবতা নয়।” সদাপ্রভু বলেন, “তোমরাই আমার সাক্ষী, যে আমি ঈশ্বর।
It is I that have declared, and have saved, and have shewed, when there was no strange [god] among you; and ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, that I [am] God.
13 হ্যাঁ তাই, পুরাকাল থেকে আমিই তিনি। আমার হাত থেকে কেউ নিস্তার করতে পারে না। যখন আমি সক্রিয় হই, তখন কে তা অন্যথা করবে?”
Yea, since the day was, I [am] HE, and there is none that delivereth out of my hand: I will work, and who shall hinder it?
14 সদাপ্রভু, যিনি তোমার মুক্তিদাতা, ইস্রায়েলের সেই পবিত্রতম জন এই কথা বলেন: “তোমাদের জন্য আমি ব্যাবিলনে সৈন্যদল প্রেরণ করব এবং যে জাহাজগুলির জন্য ব্যাবিলনিয়েরা গর্ব করত, আমি সেগুলিতে সমস্ত ব্যাবিলনীয়কে পলাতক করব।
Thus saith Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought all of them down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.
15 আমিই সদাপ্রভু, তোমাদের সেই পবিত্রজন, আমি ইস্রায়েলের সৃষ্টিকর্তা, তোমাদের রাজাধিরাজ।”
I [am] Jehovah, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.
16 সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, যিনি সমুদ্রের মধ্যে দিয়ে চলাচলের পথ ও মহাজলরাশির মধ্য দিয়ে অতিক্রমের পথ তৈরি করেছিলেন,
Thus saith Jehovah, who maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters,
17 যিনি রথ ও অশ্ব, সৈন্যদল ও বীর যোদ্ধাদের একত্র বের করে এনেছিলেন, তারা সেখানেই পড়ে থাকল, আর কখনও না ওঠার জন্য, তারা সলতের মতো নিভে গেল, বিনষ্ট হল:
who bringeth forth chariot and horse, army and power — they lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinct, they are quenched as tow:
18 “তোমরা পুরোনো বিষয় সব ভুলে যাও; অতীতের মধ্যে আর বিচরণ কোরো না।
— Remember not the former things, neither consider the ancient things:
19 দেখো, আমি নতুন এক কাজ করতে চলেছি! তা এখনই শুরু হবে; তোমরা কি তা বুঝতে পারবে না? আমি মরুভূমির মধ্য দিয়ে পথ ও প্রান্তরের মধ্য দিয়ে নদনদী তৈরি করব।
behold, I do a new thing; now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the waste.
20 বন্যপশুরা আমার গৌরব করবে, শিয়াল ও প্যাঁচারাও করবে, কারণ আমি মরুভূমিতে জল জোগাই ও প্রান্তরের মধ্যে নদনদী বইয়ে দিই, যেন আমার প্রজারা, আমার মনোনীত জনেরা জলপান করতে পারে,
The beast of the field shall glorify me, the jackals and the ostriches; for I will give waters in the wilderness, rivers in the waste, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
21 যে প্রজাদের আমি নিজের জন্য গঠন করেছি, যেন তারা আমার প্রশংসা করে।
This people have I formed for myself: they shall shew forth my praise.
22 “তবুও, ওহে যাকোব, তুমি এখনও আমাকে ডাকোনি, ওহে ইস্রায়েল, আমাকে নিয়ে তুমি যেন ক্লান্ত হয়েছ।
— But thou hast not called upon me, Jacob; for thou hast been weary of me, O Israel:
23 হোমবলির জন্য তুমি আমার কাছে মেষ আনোনি, তোমার বলিদান সকলের দ্বারা আমার সম্মানও করোনি। আমি শস্য-নৈবেদ্যর জন্য তোমাকে ভারগ্রস্ত করিনি, আবার ধূপ উৎসর্গ দাবি করে তোমাকে বিব্রত করিনি।
thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt-offerings, neither hast thou glorified me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to toil with an oblation, nor wearied thee with incense.
24 তুমি আমার জন্য কোনো সুগন্ধি বচ কেনোনি, কিংবা তোমার বলি সকলের মেদে আমাকে পরিতৃপ্ত করোনি। বরং তোমাদের পাপসকলের কারণে আমাকে ভারগ্রস্ত করেছ এবং তোমাদের সব অপরাধের কারণে আমাকে ক্লান্ত করেছ।
Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices; but thou hast made me to toil with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.
25 “আমি, হ্যাঁ আমিই আমার নিজের স্বার্থে, তোমাদের অধর্ম সকল মুছে ফেলি, তোমাদের পাপসকল আর স্মরণে আনব না।
— I, I [am] He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and I will not remember thy sins.
26 পূর্বের বিষয় সকল আমার জন্য পর্যালোচনা করো, এসো, আমরা সেই বিষয়ে পরস্পর তর্কবিতর্ক করি; তোমাদের নির্দোষিতার পক্ষে কারণ ব্যক্ত করো।
Put me in remembrance, let us plead together; rehearse thine own [cause], that thou mayest be justified.
27 তোমাদের আদিপিতা পাপ করেছিল; তোমাদের মুখপাত্রেরা আমার বিরুদ্ধে পাপ করেছিল।
Thy first father hath sinned, and thy mediators have rebelled against me.
28 তাই, তোমাদের মন্দিরের বিশিষ্টজনেদের আমি অপমান করব, আমি যাকোবকে ধ্বংসের জন্য ও ইস্রায়েলকে বিদ্রুপ করার জন্য সমর্পণ করব।
And I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the ban, and Israel to reproaches.
