যিশাইয় ভাববাদীর বই 35
1 সেদিন মরুভূমি ও শুকনো জমি হবে আনন্দিত; মরুপ্রান্তর উল্লসিত হবে এবং বসন্তের প্রথম ফুল সেখানে প্রস্ফুটিত হবে।
The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad thereat; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the lily.
2 হ্যাঁ, সেখানে ফুলের প্রাচুর্য হবে, তা ভীষণভাবে উল্লসিত হয়ে আনন্দে চিৎকার করবে। তাকে দেওয়া হবে লেবাননের প্রতাপ, দেওয়া হবে কর্মিল ও শারোণের শোভা; তারা সদাপ্রভুর মহিমা দেখতে পাবে, তারা দেখবে আমাদের ঈশ্বরের সৌন্দর্য।
It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice, yea, with joy and singing; the glory of the Lebanon shall be given unto it, the elegance of Carmel and Sharon; they indeed shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.
3 যাদের দুর্বল হস্ত, তাদের সবল করো, যাদের হাঁটু দুর্বল, তাদের সুস্থির করো।
Strengthen ye weak hands, and stumbling knees make ye firm.
4 যাদের হৃদয় ভয়ে ভীত, তাদের বলো, “সবল হও, ভয় কোরো না; তোমাদের ঈশ্বর আসবেন, তিনি প্রতিশোধ গ্রহণের জন্য আসবেন; তিনি তোমাদের উদ্ধার করার জন্য তাদের প্রাপ্য শাস্তি দিতে আসবেন।”
Say to the timid of heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God, [with] vengeance will he come, with God's recompense; it is he who will come and save you.
5 তখন অন্ধদের চোখ খুলে যাবে, বধিরদের কান আর বন্ধ থাকবে না।
Then shall the eyes of the blind be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6 সেই সময় খঞ্জেরা হরিণের মতো লাফ দেবে এবং বোবাদের জিভ আনন্দে চিৎকার করবে। জল তোড়ে বেরিয়ে আসবে প্রান্তর থেকে এবং জলপ্রবাহ মরুভূমি থেকে।
Then shall the lame leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing; for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and brooks in the desert.
7 তপ্ত বালুকা পুকুরের মতো হবে, তৃষিত ভূমি হবে উচ্ছলিত ফোয়ারার মতো। যে আস্তানায় একদিন শিয়ালরা শুয়ে থাকত, সেখানে উৎপন্ন হবে ঘাস ও নলখাগড়া।
And the sandy waste shall be changed into a pool, and the thirsty land into springs of water: in the habitation of monsters, where each one used to lie, shall be a court for reeds and rushes.
8 সেখানে প্রস্তুত হবে এক রাজপথ; সেই পথকে বলা হবে, “পবিত্রতার সরণি।” কোনো অশুচি মানুষ সেই পথে যাবে না; যারা ঈশ্বরের পথে চলে, এ পথ হবে কেবলমাত্র তাদের জন্য; দুষ্ট ও মূর্খেরা সেই পথ অতিক্রম করবে না।
And there shall be a highway and a way, and The holy way, shall it be called; no unclean one shall pass over it; but it shall be [only] theirs; the wayfaring man, and those unacquainted [therewith], shall not go astray.
9 সেখানে কোনো সিংহ থাকবে না, কোনো হিংস্র জন্তুও সেই পথে হাঁটবে না, তাদের সেখানে দেখাই যাবে না। কেবলমাত্র মুক্তিপ্রাপ্ত লোকেরাই সেই পথে চলবে,
No lion shall be there, and no ravenous beast shall go up thereon, shall not be found there; but there shall walk the redeemed:
10 আর মুক্তিপণ দেওয়া সদাপ্রভুর লোকেরা প্রত্যাবর্তন করবে। তারা গান গাইতে গাইতে সিয়োনে প্রবেশ করবে; তাদের মাথায় থাকবে চিরস্থায়ী আনন্দ-মুকুট। আমোদ ও আনন্দে তারা প্লাবিত হবে, দুঃখ ও দীর্ঘশ্বাস দূরে পলায়ন করবে।
And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with song, with everlasting joy upon their head; gladness and joy shall they obtain, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
