যিশাইয় ভাববাদীর বই 27
1 সেদিন, সদাপ্রভু তাঁর তরোয়াল দিয়ে, তাঁর ভয়ংকর, বিশাল ও শক্তিশালী তরোয়াল দিয়ে সড়সড় করে চলা সেই সাপ লিবিয়াথনকে, কুণ্ডলী পাকানো সাপ লিবিয়াথনকে শাস্তি দেবেন; তিনি সেই সামুদ্রিক দানবকে হনন করবেন।
In that day will Jehovah punish with his sword, His hard, and great, and strong sword, The leviathan, that fleet serpent, Even the leviathan, that winding serpent; Yea, he will slay the monster, that is in the sea.
2 সেদিন, “তোমরা এক ফলবান দ্রাক্ষাকুঞ্জ সম্বন্ধে গান করবে:
In that day, sing ye thus concerning the vineyard:
3 আমি সদাপ্রভু, তার উপরে দৃষ্টি রাখি; আমি তাতে নিয়মিতরূপে জল সেচন করি। আমি দিবারাত্র তাকে পাহারা দিই, যেন কেউই তার ক্ষতি করতে না পারে।
“I, Jehovah, am its guardian; I will water it every moment; That no one may assault it, I will watch it day and night.
4 আমি আর ক্রুদ্ধ নই। কেবলমাত্র যদি শিয়ালকাঁটা ও কাঁটাঝোপ আমার বিরুদ্ধে সংঘর্ষ করত! আমি তাদের বিরুদ্ধে সমরাভিযান করতাম; আমি সেসবই আগুনে পুড়িয়ে দিতাম।
There is no fury in me; But let me find the thorns and thistles in battle. I will go against them, And burn them up together,
5 নয়তো, তারা আমার কাছে আশ্রয় গ্রহণের জন্য আসুক; তারা আমার সঙ্গে শান্তিচুক্তি স্থাপন করুক, হ্যাঁ, তারা আমার সঙ্গে শান্তি প্রতিষ্ঠা করুক।”
Unless they take hold of my protection, And with me make peace, And make peace with me.”
6 আগামী সময়ে, যাকোবের বংশধরেরা শিকড় প্রতিষ্ঠিত করবে, ইস্রায়েল জাতি মুকুলিত হয়ে প্রস্ফুটিত হবে এবং সমস্ত জগৎ ফলে পরিপূর্ণ করবে।
In coming days shall Jacob take root, And Israel flourish and bud forth, And fill the world with fruit.
7 সদাপ্রভু কি তাকে আঘাত করেছেন, যেমন তাকে যারা আঘাত করেছে, তিনি তাদের আঘাত করেছিলেন? তাকে কি হত্যা করা হয়েছে, যেমন যারা তাকে হত্যা করতে চেয়েছিল, তাদের তিনি হত্যা করেছিলেন?
Did he smite Israel, as he smote those that smote him? Was he slain as those that slew him?
8 যুদ্ধ ও নির্বাসনের মাধ্যমে তুমি তার সঙ্গে বিবাদ করেছ— পুবালি ঝোড়ো বাতাস যেদিন বয়ে গেলে যেমন হয়, তাঁর প্রবল ফুৎকারে তিনি তেমনই তাদের বের করে দিয়েছেন।
In measure, by sending her away, didst thou punish her, Taking her away in the rough tempest, in the day of the east wind.
9 এভাবেই তখন, যাকোব কুলের অপরাধের প্রায়শ্চিত্ত হবে, তাদের পাপের সম্পূর্ণ অপসারণের এই হবে তার পূর্ণ পরিণাম: যখন তিনি বেদির সব পাথরকে চুনা পাথরের মতো চূর্ণ করবেন, তখন আশেরা দেবীর কোনো খুঁটি বা ধূপবেদি আর দাঁড়িয়ে থাকবে না।
By this, therefore, is the iniquity of Jacob expiated, And this is wholly the fruit of the removal of his sin, That He has made the stones of the altar like limestones broken in pieces, And that the images of Astarte and the sun-pillars no more stand.
10 সুরক্ষিত নগরটি তখন নির্জন পড়ে থাকবে, এক পরিত্যক্ত নিবাসস্থানরূপে, যা মরুভূমির মতোই বিস্মৃত হবে; সেখানে বাছুরেরা চরে বেড়াবে, সেখানে তারা শুয়ে বিশ্রাম করবে; তারা তার শাখাসমূহের ছাল ছিলে ফেলবে।
For the fortified city is desolate, A habitation forsaken, deserted like a wilderness; There doth the calf feed, and there doth he lie down, And consume her branches.
11 গাছপালার কচি পাতা শুকিয়ে গেলে সেগুলি ভেঙে ফেলা হবে, আর স্ত্রীলোকেরা সেগুলি নিয়ে আগুন জ্বালাবে। কারণ এই এক জাতি, যাদের বুদ্ধি নেই; তাই তাদের নির্মাতা তাদের প্রতি সহানুভূতিশীল নন, এবং তাদের স্রষ্টা তাদের প্রতি কোনো কৃপা প্রদর্শন করেন না।
When her boughs are withered, they are broken off; Women come, and burn them; For it was a people of no understanding; Therefore he that made him had not mercy on him, And he that formed him showed him no favor.
12 সেদিন, সদাপ্রভু প্রবাহিত ইউফ্রেটিস নদী থেকে মিশরের জলস্রোত পর্যন্ত হাতে চয়ন করা শস্যের মতো তাদের সংগ্রহ করবেন। আর ইস্রায়েলীরা, তোমাদের এক একজন করে একত্র করা হবে।
But it shall come to pass in that day, That Jehovah shall gather fruit From the stream of the Euphrates to the river of Egypt, And ye shall be gathered, one by one, ye children of Israel!
13 সেদিন একটি বৃহৎ তূরী বাজানো হবে। যারা আসিরিয়ায় বিনষ্ট হচ্ছিল ও যারা মিশরে নির্বাসিত হয়েছিল, তারা জেরুশালেমের পবিত্র পর্বতে এসে সদাপ্রভুর উপাসনা করবে।
In that day shall a great trumpet be sounded, And they shall come who are lost in the land of Assyria, And are outcasts in the land of Egypt, And shall worship Jehovah upon the holy mountain in Jerusalem.
