হোশেয় ভাববাদীর বই 1
1 যিহূদার রাজা উষিয়, যোথম, আহস ও হিষ্কিয়ের সময়ে এবং যিহোয়াশের পুত্র ইস্রায়েলের রাজা যারবিয়ামের সময়ে সদাপ্রভুর এই বাক্য বেরির পুত্র হোশেয়ের কাছে উপস্থিত হল:
This is the word of Yahweh that came to Hosea son of Beeri in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam son of Joash, king of Israel.
2 সদাপ্রভু যখন হোশেয়ের মাধ্যমে কথা বলা শুরু করলেন, তখন সদাপ্রভু তাঁকে বললেন, “তুমি যাও, এক ব্যভিচারী স্ত্রী ও অবিশ্বস্ততার সন্তানদের গ্রহণ করো, কারণ এই দেশ সদাপ্রভুর কাছ থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন হওয়ায় এক ভয়ংকর ব্যভিচার করেছে।”
When Yahweh spoke at first through Hosea, he said to him, “Go, take for yourself a wife who is a prostitute. She will have children who are the result of her prostitution. For the land is committing great prostitution by forsaking Yahweh.”
3 তাই তিনি গিয়ে দিবলায়িমের কন্যা গোমরকে বিবাহ করলেন, এবং সে গর্ভবতী হয়ে তাঁর জন্য এক পুত্র প্রসব করল।
So Hosea went and married Gomer daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son.
4 এরপর সদাপ্রভু হোশেয়কে বললেন, “ওর নাম রাখো যিষ্রিয়েল, কারণ যিষ্রিয়েলে হত্যালীলা সংঘটিত করার অপরাধে আমি যেহূর কুলকে সত্বর শাস্তি দেব এবং আমি ইস্রায়েল রাজ্যের পরিসমাপ্তি ঘটাব।
Yahweh said to Hosea, “Call his name Jezreel. For in a little while I will punish the house of Jehu for the bloodshed at Jezreel, and I will put an end to the kingdom of the house of Israel.
5 সেদিন, আমি যিষ্রিয়েল উপত্যকায় ইস্রায়েলের ধনুক ভেঙে ফেলব।”
It will happen on the day that I break the bow of Israel in the Valley of Jezreel.”
6 গোমর আবার গর্ভবতী হয়ে এক কন্যাসন্তানের জন্ম দিল। তখন সদাপ্রভু হোশেয়কে বললেন, “ওর নাম রাখো লো-রুহামা, কারণ আমি আর ইস্রায়েল কুলের প্রতি ভালোবাসা প্রদর্শন করব না। আমি তাদের আর ক্ষমা করব না।
Gomer conceived again and bore a daughter. Then Yahweh said to Hosea, “Call her name Lo-Ruhamah, for I will no longer have mercy on the house of Israel, that I should forgive them at all.
7 কিন্তু যিহূদা কুলের প্রতি আমি আমার ভালোবাসা প্রদর্শন করব। আমি তাদের উদ্ধার করব, তির, তরোয়াল বা যুদ্ধের দ্বারা নয়, অশ্ব বা অশ্বারোহীদের দ্বারাও নয়, কিন্তু তাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর দ্বারা।”
Yet I will have mercy on the house of Judah, and I will save them by myself, Yahweh their God. I will not save them by bow, sword, battle, horses, or horsemen.”
8 গোমর লো-রুহামাকে স্তন্যপান ত্যাগ করানোর পরে তার আর একটি পুত্র হল।
Now after Gomer had weaned Lo-Ruhamah, she conceived and bore another son.
9 তখন সদাপ্রভু বললেন, “ওর নাম রাখো লো-অম্মি, কারণ তোমরা আমার প্রজা নও এবং আমি তোমাদের ঈশ্বর নই।
Then Yahweh said, “Call his name Lo-Ammi, for you are not my people, and I am not your God.
10 “তবুও ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানদের সংখ্যা হবে সমুদ্রতটের সেই বালুকণার মতো, যার পরিমাপ করা বা গণনা করা যায় না। যেখানে তাদের বলা হয়েছিল, ‘তোমরা আমার প্রজা নও,’ সেখানে তাদের বলা হবে, ‘জীবন্ত ঈশ্বরের পুত্র।’
Yet the number of the people of Israel will be like the sand of the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted. It will be that where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' it will be said to them, 'You are people of the living God.'
11 কারণ যিহূদা কুল ও ইস্রায়েল কুলের লোকেরা পুনরায় সংযুক্ত হবে; তারা একজন নেতাকে নিযুক্ত করে সেই দেশ থেকে বের হয়ে আসবে, এবং যিষ্রিয়েলের সেদিন মহান হবে।”
The people of Judah and the people of Israel will be gathered together. They will appoint one leader for themselves, and they will go up from the land, for great will be the day of Jezreel.
